I was being facetious. I'm saying a little self awareness about ones' decisions, especially when it comes to something as basic as putting away your shopping cart, would be beneficial.

Publicly shaming people who don't return their carts is a net positive for society. People should be afraid of who could be watching them as they leave their cart propped against a curb or in-between parking spaces on an inclined lot.

Joe Biden needs to pack the courts now before it's too late.

If some people actually learned a lesson from it and took covid seriously as a result, then it's probably the most humanitarian thing to have come out of his career.

I think airplanes are a particularly volatile environment to deal with a crying baby because the entire experience is generally uncomfortable to begin with. You pay pretty steep prices to go through tight ass security measures, stand in a line for an hour, bump and nudge your way to a seat that's too small, wait for everyone else to do the same while you sit there trying your damndest to not bump elbows or knees with the people next to you, you're probably hungry and/or thirsty, and all you can do is try to fall asleep or play a game on your phone for the next few hours.

Top that off with a delay while on board and a crying child and it's definitely not a fun experience.

Of course, that doesn't justify the man's reaction. I'd probably be on edge during and shortly after an event like that, but I wouldn't yell at the child or their parents. That's just stupid >_>

I speak from the perspective of an educator. "You" is collective, representative of all stakeholders in that child's education, along with stakeholders in the success of a school.

Assessment, in whatever form it takes, is critical to educational goals, and comes in two varieties. Formative assessment is essentially asking the questions "What does this student know in this moment? What is their current progress towards the educational goals that were set? What evidence do I have of these things?" Formative assessment can be as simple as a participation grade, homework, exit tickets, or asking questions for the class to answer by raising their hands.

Summative assessment asks "To what degree has the student met the educational goals that were set now that we have reached the end of this block of learning?" Summative assessments include tests, quizzes, projects, essays, and presentations.

Now, tests are a perfectly valid assessment tool when correctly applied. From my perspective, there is a pushback against tests, especially high-stakes testing, because they are overrepresented in the kinds of assessments used by teachers and institutions, coupled with the misuse of their purpose and results. A good teacher uses a variety of both formative and summative assessments to measure student learning and, more importantly, to inform future planning and instruction.

Scary how close the language gets to the actual antivax movement.

If you have the digital version on Switch, there is a bug that will cause the game to crash when jacking in to the power plant comp after the story scenario in BN1. The Boktai content in Battle Network isn't irl sunlight based, it's crossover content like battle chips.

However, if you're jacked in from an outside source when playing battle network, those battle chips do get a powerup. Nice little homage to the games they're linked with.

It was very out of place, and could have easily been replaced with more of the amazing orchestrated versions of classic mario songs.
