Would probably make things difficult at a small company. At a big company nothing would really change as people in charge of employing you won't know who you are most of the time and everything is driven by paperwork anyway.

Literally everyone including family. They don't forget YOU just your name. They will see you in their phone contacts and be like "idk who the fuck this is" but they still recognize you when they see or talk to you.

You can remind people of your name but it's retained short term only. If they go a day without speaking to you they forget it again.

The salt and plows are existing materials and equipment that many states either don't have on hand, or have very little of.

It's also a question of budgeting for the man hours

I'm not saying they should do anything just that the video in question is how professionals do it.

However what Texas probably does have a lot of are bulldozers and in a pinch those can be made to plow snow.

Of course plowing a state the size of texas is pretty much impossible for their economy. It's too much land to cover and plowing snow is a very slow affair.

The black woman was intentionally overpaid because just before she got hired a white guy got a similar payroll and they were worried about a wage discrimination lawsuit. I'm not sure why the first white guy got paid so much but it's clear that's not what they normally pay people. They tried to hire the guy in the article at a more reasonable salary.

That's more or less the real solution. In NYC they stick plows on garbage trucks and make them do it. Street cleaners can also be made to spray salt. They don't have much in the way of dedicated snow removal. They're just better prepared using their already existing infrastructure.

Tbh I think they gambled on having a big advantage by being the first major cloud gaming service and Microsoft basically killed off any chance of that mattering. First they released the xCloud beta and it works natively with Xbox versions of games while Stadia required unique ports. Then it was included with Game Pass Ultimate while Stadia required full purchases. Then they announced it'll work on basically any Android device and Samsung TV which is somehow more support than Google Stadia.

This is the biggest part here but there's other problems.

1. The YouTube integration they promised never materialized. I don't even know if any work was ever done on it.
2. Stadia versions of cross platform games were not cross platform on Stadia. I.e. Destiny players on Stadia could only play with other Stadia players meaning many multiplayer only games were DOA.
3. Microsoft also offers GameStream which is using your own Xbox as the server to stream from. This resulted for most people far better speeds and response times than googles servers.
4. GeForce Now & PlayStation Now were also already established.

In short Google made a pretty good service that was just way too late to the party to make a difference and other people did it better.

america really needs to get educated. Why would apple allow someone to sell an app on their store if they arent getting a cut? At that point Epic is stealing server resources and bandwidth from Apple.

Windows for decades has let you buy applications from anywhere you wanted and never got a cut from any of it. There's a Windows store now but they do literally nothing to block software from other sources.

Don't see why things have to suddenly be different for phones.

It's not a necessity for survival but neither is clothing or electricity.
