There's also a re-run of the extremely overpowered Hermit Mahiru to bait people into wasting their star gems before the collab.

Now that the double drops event is over I was able to clear the normal story on PriConne.

It was sooo much easier now that everyone is almost fully geared up.

I'm actually learning about WWI thanks to Azur Lane lol. I didn't realize it was pretty accurate, like with the types of ships each one is, the ship designs (except for the shark-ishness of the IB ships I guess), which nations were fighting, and even subtle character interactions. Like I wondered why Akagi didn't like Enterprise. Turns out that dive bombers from the Enterprise heavily damaged the Akagi in the Battle of Midway lol

Waifu game is more educational than my high school world history class :D

I had all of those star gems saved, but I only had to spend 1500 of them to get her! The first 10-pull on each collab banner was free (got nothing in the free pull on both the Nana and Junna banners) and the second was half off... and I pulled her on the second one!

The Symphogear collab, Izanagi Nana (the only version of her that's out in JP but not EN) and a Starry Diamond re-run that would let me get Apollo Karen (the only version of her I don't have) are what I'm saving for now. I'm not sure my stash will be enough for all three, but I'll sure as hell try.

Day four of Priconne free rolls, got my first Shefi.

Event has started in Priconne. I'm surprised at the difficulty given this is the very first one. It also seems weird to have lv 54-65 enemies when the first boss is lv 25...
I'm also not sure why this is recommended as where to get gear. The drops are random as opposed to normal stages.

Yeah, I'm struggling to get through the normal chapter in the event, let alone hard. So think I'm not gonna enjoy this event already.

Or, apparently just two stages in normal were just utter roadblocks (for me) with everything else being pretty easy and the boss going down in mere seconds. This difficulty feels all out of shape. Time to see what hard stage is like now >.>

Events that are clearly not designed to be newbie or F2P-friendly are hands down my biggest annoyance with gacha games, I can't remember the number of them I've dropped for that reason alone.

Couple that with my failure to get Makoto or Maho, but somehow getting damn near every other *3 on that last banner (exhausting every Story gem I had in the process) and Priconne is on some seriously thin ice with me right now.

Yup, 1-5 and 1-12 took brute force to get lucky in getting past for me and hard has been easier than almost all of normal, it's very odd. I agree with you on the rest, very annoying our first event has these difficulty spikes. I don't mind them in the "main story mode" as can just get past them at a later date without any worry of missing out. Probably why gacha's make events like that though tbh.

Woo, congrats! I'm still about 1-2 weeks from getting my first 3* from coins from the various coins, so be a few of them all around the same time which hopefully will be a nice boost.

Starting with Nozomi and NY Kokkoro had my tank needs covered for a while, though having Ilya survive her self-damage was another issue.

Oh hell that's even worse, it's why I eventually couldn't do anything in AFK Arena and had to quit because it became literally unplayable after a certain point unless you were willing to pay enough to fly over the hurdles.

I was able to clear all of the normal stages in the event on the first try (couldn't 3-star a few of them though) but the second hard stage completely destroyed me. I could beat both bosses easy, so that's good.

I didnt get Arisa, so I have the sad feeling. I mean it was just one 10 pull and a ticket, but still, I get the feeling I would never get her given my 13 Jun-less 10 pulls, and 33 runs to get 1 item. Sorry Cal, I uninstalled PriConne :<

I'm tempted to roll for Keqing in Genshin. I could use another main DPS, ideally one who's relatively simple to play (unlike Ganyu and Hu Tao) and I like her design and character. The problem is Hu Tao's banner which is basically guaranteed to be right afterwards, I definitely want Hu Tao. By the time Hu Tao's banner ends I'll probably have around 153 rolls not counting any new rolls from events. That's more than enough to hit pity once, but it'd be difficult to hit it twice and actually guarantee Hu Tao without whaling at least a little.

I really want to, but on the other hand, I could potentially get Keqing from any banner as a spook, and she's not a particularly amazing character overall, and there are still plenty of other characters I wouldn't mind having.

but on the other other hand, apparently Electro might get buffed in the future?

They were scaling for me up to around level 50 or so, I think.

My tanks were already covered thanks to starting with Nozomi and NY Kokkoro, but trying to naturally level any new characters through events was basically just asking for non-3*s.

Because you get the equips from the prize gacha, not the stages.

Also, all events are supposed to have 1.5x exp gain, so they're the ideal place to grind, but I heard that global doesn't have that perk yet.

But that has the same problem. The equip is random there too. I dont see how doing stages that give you random gear in order to get tickets and medals so you can do a gacha for random gear is better than doing the stage that gives you the gear you are specifically looking for.

After thirty cubes, I realized, "I've already missed some event ships due to stupid dev decisions, so I'll just wait a year until these garbage ships are put into production/merit shop/etc." This is the year I get to 2000 cubes, so I can't waste too much time on jank.

Eh, the bonus would have been wasted on me anyway, had to pump a bunch of XP potions into my team to get them to my current max level just so they could compete. (They were all hovering at 56 going to 57, had to ram on through to 59.)

At least I've made more progress though.

Haven't posted in here in a bit, but I'm still enjoying Priconne despite being up Ys' ass, and I'm pleasantly surprised by CR's handling of it and their plans with it.

It's nice to finally do an event, too, and I'm psyched I've been able to do all the content. The Hard boss takes two attempts, though. x.x

Yeah, I blew almost 100 cubes trying for Chao Ho. Got probably a dozen ships I haven't had previously including Dido, but I think I'm just going to accept that I won't get her this time. Still sitting at 250+ cubes.

My first advice right at the start: try to get Makoto in your opening roll because she's one of the best characters in the game and will make your life so much easier. The next-best thing is a good tank (Miyako, Nozomi, or Jun) and getting both of those at the start is the absolute best-case scenario. You can still progress without any of these great characters though. It'll be more difficult, but it's very possible. I saw someone clear all 8 chapters that were available at launch with only the starter characters and a character you can very easily get for free with Dungeon coins.

Yes, re-roll. She's a good healer, but you can unlock her on your own fairly easily through Dungeon coins and Yui (one of the starter characters) is a good enough healer for the early game.

Also, a heads up: you can get a free 2,000 jewels to roll a bit more if you link a Crunchyroll account to your game. If you don't get what you want after using all of the starter jewels, you can immediately un-link and use that CR account again on your next re-roll. And when you finally get the roll you're satisfied with, then you can link to another preferred sign-in method (Facebook, Google Play, or Apple) later on.

Waifu > Meta ultimately.

Good unites for a reroll are Jun, Makoto and Saren I'd say. Nozomi is another potential one, but the first two you want for the defence lowering they do and Jun being the best tank for some time. Maho is a good unit, but a healer/debuffer so probably not one I'd want for a first 3*

I agree that waifu > meta in most cases. But in this game, like I said, almost every girl has an alternate method to unlock them without pulling them in the gacha. That means it's not totally necessary to re-roll for waifu unless she's a limited character, but there aren't any of those yet. Therefore, it makes a lot more sense to re-roll for a character that will make progressing in the story easier or a character whose alternate unlock method is the most difficult. There happens to be one character that fits both of those conditions, and her name is Makoto.

How do I quickly reroll?

The download size for the game is really large, so standard re-rolling by clearing and re-downloading the app data is really slow. The fastest way to re-roll is to have two installations of the game, either the game installed on two different devices or (if you only have one device and have enough extra free space) two on the same device using an App Cloner app. Only one of the installations needs to have all of the data downloaded (this will be referred to below as app #1, the one you'll keep at the end) and the other can just be a fresh installation without the extra data (this will be referred to below as app #2). Then, once you have that set up, follow these steps to be able to re-roll without needing to do the large download over and over again:

1: Open PriConne app #2
2: At the title screen, Data Link -> log in with CR account -> Account Link -> Link
3: Close PriConne app #2 after linking and then open PriConne app #1
4: At the title screen, Data Link -> log in with CR account -> Transfer Data -> Transfer
5: The game should restart from the beginning of the tutorial without needing to do the big download. Do NOT sign in with Google Play when asked.
6: Complete the tutorial and do your gacha pulls. Between the release bonuses and the CR linking bonus, you should have enough for three entire 10-pulls on top of the free random 3-star character you get right off the bat.

If your roll isn't satisfactory, then:

7: In the game settings, go to Menu -> Account Link -> log in with CR account -> remove link, then close PriConne app #1
8: Clear the app data for PriConne app #2 (Android Settings -> Apps for Android, no idea what the IOS equivalent is)
9: Return to step 1

Once you get a satisfactory roll, you can get rid of app #2 and start playing on app #1. This is the method I used. There's a better way to re-roll if you have a rooted device or a computer powerful enough to handle multiple instances of BlueStacks at the same time, but you'd have to look those up yourself. Also, I wrote this tutorial over a month ago when the game first launched, so it's possible that the number of jewels/pulls you have at the start might be different now than at launch.

Maho is more future-proof than Nozomi, tbh. Or most of the launch units aside from Makoto, Jun, and maybe Monika.

But you need a good DPS to supplement Maho, so yeah.

Rerolled again. Got Maho again for starter, then pulled Saren and Arisa.

Saren is literally the worst reroll target, unfortunately. She's even easier to farm for compared to Nozomi/Maho.

Arisa is... not great. But she's not easy to farm for, if you care about her.
