Damage scaling on melty is pretty awful. You can fight it a little by doing reverse beats but there's a limit to how far that can take you.

Not a big fan of this band but this cover is okay. Treading a bit into metal tho. So the only thing I could remember about this band was this album "Metatron" except that happens to also be the name of a completely unrelated band so searching for it again was extremely difficult and I almost just wasn't even gonna post it but because I spent so much time looking for it and finally found it I figure I post it anyway.

I hear Type Lumina is a lot of fun! There's been a lot of concern about a defensive shield mechanic being too strong, so I wonder if they'll look into that.

It's essentially the soul calibur Parry fights. I'm not a fan of the mechanic but it helps characters that would otherwise be at the complete mercy of zoners.

Okay I am done recording combos for now. Miyako is strong and fast but her kit makes for visually unappealing combos. I did my best to make them look flashy but her play style is just more suited to a small amount of hard hits. Most of her moves knock people far away and she has no deployable or anything like that to keep people close so her only option is to chase them after she's hit them far away. To boot, MBTL has the opposite of gravity decay. The more you hit someone the higher up they go until you can't reach them anymore and they can do an aerial recovery. This is especially a problem for Miyako as she's really short and has bad vertical reach. And she has nothing to attack enemies underneath her. She's got an elbow drop but that has to be jump cancelled or ex cancelled or moon drive cancelled and hits people downward and a floor bounce is really bad for continuing a combo. Even the Rapid Beat stops working.

That said, I've got some good creative footage I'll compile together and upload.

Bleh. I think I'm gonna re-record everything. I'm not happy about something.

Okay well maybe not a lot of hits but it's pretty good damage. Last Arc for reference is 4800 damage so anything better is a more efficient use of gauge.

I was trying to record a combo in MBTL for this thread but there's a really harsh damage decay so the longer a combo goes on the less damage it does and the most damaging combos are only a few hits so I can either have a really stylish combo that does shit damage or a really strong combo that is like 4 moves max.
