I have to give Atlus props for having their launch editions include so many goodies while still being the same price as a standard release, and the Radiant Historia remake is no exception. They should do the same for Alliance Alive next month. ... The 3DS release schedule dries up after that, though, and there is nothing left for Vita but VNs from Aksys (another Hakuoki and the next Code Realize).

Yeah, ATLUS rarely disappoints in terms of special editions, especially considering the fact that they basically include all of those things for free.

And they ARE doing a special edition for Alliance Alive.

First to set the plot, hes a guy trapped in a video game like world, it started off as a game but it seems as though he was transported to a very similar real world where he kept his avatar, which happens to be a spooky scary skeleton.

Pre-ordered and ready. My wife is paying off said pre-order as her Valentine's gift to me. Definitely one remake I do not mind getting, though I am still wondering why they changed up the art. The art was fine.

Yeah, the art change really wasn't needed. But others have said that they can show emotions now, and they added a couple of CGs in so that's a plus.

Also, speaking of art, Yusuke Murata, the artist for One Punch Man, did a poster of Iron-Man and Spider-Man a while ago, and it actually got signed by Stan The Man Lee himself!

Radiant Historia is coming out tomorrow!

Haven't actually pre-ordered but the store I'm going to has a pretty good history of having extra launch copies that come with all the goodies (this time it comes with an artbook and soundtrack CD), so I'm not really worried about missing out.

I'm also gonna get Monster Hunter World, and as a bonus, I get around $15 off because of coupons and pre-owned bonus!

Played the DS one a long time ago, but I actually never owned it, so I'm picking this up.

It's a phenomenal game that everyone should play.

My last MH game was 4U on the 3DS.

World looks amazing though. I've watched a couple of reviews and gameplay vids, and it really does look like the best MH yet.

After just finishing BotW, it's really interesting to see how these two well-established series took steps to change up their formula and got massively rewarded for it.

And they both did it by opening up the gameplay and the world, and adding lots of little quality of life changes.

WOW! Just finished Breath of the Wild. 95% completed, woo!

It really is an amazing game, and definitely the best Zelda game ever.

I did (almost) everything I could possibly do before fighting the last boss. Got all the memories, upgraded all the armor, logged every single entry in the compendium, finished all the sidequests, finished all the DLC quests, and got 540/900 korok seeds.

Truly an unforgettable game.

Monster Hunter World and oh dear, I've already lost 60 hours of my time killing/capturing all manner of monsters and there seems to be no end in sight, this game is gonna be taking me over for a while yet, good stuff.

Okay, quick BotW update.

I've beaten all the divine beasts, and finished the Trial of the Sword. Finished the Champion's Ballad too and got my sweet new Master Cycle Zero. Got all the memories as well.

I've gotten 101/120 shrines, which I'm now focusing on, while also finishing up all the miscellaneous side quests.

And I've gotten 445/900 Korok Seeds, which is enough to fully unlock all my equipment slots.

What do you guys think? Should I go for all 900? As much as I love this game and kinda never want it to end, I also DON'T want to tarnish my memory of it by doing some tedious busywork. :/

HAH! FRICK YES!

It took me almost 4 hours and countless retries, but I finally finished the Trial of the Master Sword for BoTW!

Man, that was brutal. Funnily enough, the last 5 stages, which were designed to be the hardest, were probably the easiest since I had a lot of 1-hit kill arrows saved up, specifically for those parts. The lead up until then though? I think that's harder than the final dungeon and boss combined.

Still, I could have waited to do it until I get max hearts, but I specifically chose to do it mid-game so that I can actually USE and enjoy the Master Sword, rather than have it be a trophy.

Now I get to run around Hyrule with the most badass sword in existence!

I usually just leave them alone, but when I was visiting a relative in Texas, I saw a black widow in a nest that was worryingly close to the doghouse.

I had no choice but to smash it, since there's no way I'm risking grabbing it/using something it can run up towards me to transport it.

You are definitely right. This is a PINNACLE chapter. Like, goddamn, so many choices and possibilities on how the manga will play out!

This is a very exciting turning point in the series, and I can't wait to see what path they'll follow.

EDIT: And that's not even taking into account the revelations in the chapter. Like how Goldy Pond was actually a safe place after all, or that MInerva was dead all along, or that Grace Field House had a secret passage. SO so good!

I blasted through that whole chapter, since it felt like nothing much happened but also everything important also happened, and I just COULD NOT STOP READING.

I really like that the story dipped a little back into its mystery/suspense roots. Although the last action-filled, fast-paced arcs were good, it wasn't what made PN really hook into the readers.

THIS is what makes PN great. The dark and nebulous mystery of the world, the glimpses into the character's thoughts and feelings on the ever changing situation, and the careful planning and coordination that you KNOW is never going to turn out like you would expect.

This is a great manga.

I made a nervous mistake on the first fucking part on the driving course, and I failed instantly.

In my defense, when the guy said the make a left toward the cones, I didn't realize he was talking about the cones that were right next to the entrance of the course, which I couldn't see because of a partition next to the gate, and I made my way towards the farther cones, which apparently were different, and I made a wrong turn towards them, which failed me instantly.

Plus, it was RAINING during the test, so the road lines were harder to see.

ARRRGHH!!!

But you know, I'm mostly just frustrated that I wasted money.

We don't have a car, so we had to hire a driving teacher to help us practice and to use her car and registration for the test. She charges 50 bucks for two hours, so that money basically went down the drain.

This sucks.

But my driving teacher said that she's fairly confident that I'll pass the test so that's good I guess?

Watched episode 2 of Darling in the Frankxx. It was good. But this show is just one big sexual innuendo. Like every other line. Don't know if I should take it serious or laugh. Because the tone is really serious. Also the girls bending over and the guys "connecting" and sitting above them is a bit much... lol

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous lol.

It almost makes it seem like the anime was made by the guy who made TLR, but it really is just the perfect anime to be adapted to his style of manga.

I really think they'll just reach a point where they drop all the innuendos and pretense and just go straight up having actual sex at one point.

Yeah you're right, cause I remember looking at the kits and they're basically rectangular sheets with the cutouts displayed on them (as opposed to the more complicated pieces already being cut out)

Don't you still need the sensor square thingies so the joycons actually work with the kit?

Haven't played Valkyrie Profile, but I was always meaning to. Maybe this could fill the gap when it comes out.

In other news, I've finished Xenoblade X, and I'm now finally playing Breath of the Wild.

All I can say is WOW! It immediately grabbed me and I lost 4 hours just wandering around the Great Plateau, and that was before I had the glider to fully explore it.

It's incredibly hilarious.

Quite possibly the funniest manga I have ever read. And that's no exaggeration.

It also has some surprisingly sweet moments and the character's personalities are so well-defined and well written.

And as a bonus it's one of the rare few manga that focuses on young adult/college life (read: lots and lots and lots of drinking diving), so if you're tired of all the high-school rom/coms or teenager protags, you should definitely check it out.

The first playthrough of DS1 is always rough, IMO, but NG+ will let you have a much easier time seeing all the other routes and story content. I cheesed out and got the Yuzu ending on my first go in vanilla (original DS) DS1.

Yeah, for my first overclocked run I'm working on Yuzu's ending now. I'm tempted to end it on the 7th day and skip the 8th day so I can unlock the NG+ benefits early. I'll probably just power grind through the 8th day, but it's gonna be tough.

So if batoto goes down, EVERYONE goes down.

Especially the solo/small scanlator groups that can't afford their own domain, and only upload directly to batoto.

For those not in the know, batoto is one of, if not THE biggest manga hosting sites out there. Lots of scanlators upload their manga directly onto the site, and numerous other aggregator apps and sites use batoto to get their manga.

Looks like it's gonna be a lot harder to get manga from now on.

Hopefully the rest of the dedicated staff can find a replacement soon.

Haven't said anything about this before, but I'm playing through Devil Survivor: Overclocked right now.

I played the original one on the DS a while ago, but man, I really got spoiled by AR codes on my DS.

It made playing through that game a breeze, whereas now, it's kicking my butt on the 3DS.

I get that it's a SMT game, so I should have expected this difficulty, I just didn't realize that I was so dependent on cheats the first time through. >_>

The only MMOs I've played were Ragnarok, and this other generic korean one called RF online.

I think RF online drew me in because you could play as a robot race. And not like an android human-like robot, but a real automaton robot. Also raids were frequently made even for low level characters so that was fun.

EDIT: Just checked and it looks like the game is STILL getting updates to this day. I'm impressed. Usually these generic korean mmos fizzle out after three or four years.

So I might be the only one who cares, but for those of you also interested in the Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier - EXCEED translation progress, it seems that the team has finally gotten some dedicated members and have started working on fully translating it back around late September.

At the rate they're going we might see it finished around late summer or early fall next year.

Can't wait! I've said it before but Endless Frontier was one of my favorites from the DS era. So happy to get a chance to finally play the sequel.

Glad it was a fairly drama-less departure, and everybody seems to have mutual understanding and respect on the matter.

Seeing as Barry has had little to no appearances on the channel over the last year, I guess it was inevitable that this would happen.

Still pretty bummed out about though. His playthroughs with Ross and Dan were always great.

On the bright side, hopefully this means we get to see more of his "How About This Game" series. Those were pretty amazing.
