I love how these tips and tricks on how to manage police interactions always predicate on the assumption that the cops are rabid animals that will maul you to death at the slightest twitch or provocation. It's almost like there's an implicit understanding that the cops are dangerous and will fucking kill you for absolutely no reason.

I like how this post circles around the very simple answer that in the United States any single person could have a pistol within reaching distance at literarily any moment. You talk of gun violence and mass shootings every week? Every day? And yall wonder why cops are twitchy.

What I said isnt an excuse for times when police used excessive force and innocent people died.

Saying this isnt hard to follow doesnt change a Shitty reality that there is an excessive force problem with police in the United States. Taking shit to the most polarizing line in the sand isnt going to get your point across any better or make what I said wrong.

People ITT acting like being smart, polite, calm
and following very simple directions is a hard ask.

Already explained I would never defend horrible police work and people before. But since you tag people as pig lovers I dont feel like Im dealing with the top brass of CEs ACAB fan club.

This very week my mom walked into the ER on Sunday had same day gallbladder surgery 12 hours later, was discharged on Wednesday. Paid $7.50 for parking.

Slight correction there are 6 gems. And I mean Thanos could have just snapped the celestials out of existence too.

That being said. The end of Loki and how its set up the multiverse has been some of my favourite connective tissue ever.

I wont hear people talk shit about that show. It was fantastic.

The TC is right. I saw this post before and did not think anything of it. Since I love musical numbers . However I am just starting Bob's Burgers and it has a long ass musical number with just horrible singing . Not charming horrible just horrible like , you don't want to hear these people sing. And it seems like it goes on for ever. It doesn't but it so bad it feels that way.

Yeah Bobs Burgers is the worst offender. It seems like they dont bother to even write music. Like they just write the whole episode as normal and then pick a page of dialogue and tell the actors theyre singing those lines, dont give them a key or a tempo or anything to sing in. And well make up the melody in post.

By no means do I hate it. Theres so many projects out of this phase that I love. Including the TV series. So far Ms Marvel is the odd one out for me.

The movies have been mostly good to great imho.

Ill echo a lot of what of other people are saying. The big missing piece is the connective tissue. This phase is a reset and in many was it feels like phase 1. Except you dont have the Nick Fury piece at the end to tie it up in a smart way. Where you dont know what its going to look like but you know its headed somewhere sooner than later.

And while it doesnt need to go anywhere specific right now, its fine to take a moment to breath after 10 years of these stories. And Im sure theyll find their rhythm again soon. It does lose a tiny bit of that magic.

I guess the easiest way to put Is it feels like most of this stuff is released now because it was. Not because it fits in this phase.

I hope given enough time they pull this all together in an interesting way. And maybe its just what this phase is supposed to be. Like tuning into different episodes or different stations on the same network or something. Ultimately this is pretty nit picky of a criticism and while it does feel like one particular element is lacking. Its pretty small potatoes all things considered. Theyre still pumping out great content for the most part.

Feels like all unused aliens from other movies make into Star Wars as random background characters.

there is a reason buffys musical episode is one of the most beloved episodes of the series despite coming from the most hated season

I like a good one. I dont like when the creators try to shoehorn one in every chance they get. The creativity and musical value end up suffering.

lol no that was basically an old CE joke. Like I was announcing my candidacy to apply to be one and got some support from some users. Ive always been very vocal about how much I detest the mods and the moderation system (which is why I kind of wanted to put my money where my mouth is) but of course I wasnt selected and it never went further than that.

As a kid I definitely did not understand that games could actually be bad for the longest time.

I remember playing Sonic 3D blast. I was a massive sonic fan in those days. I remember not loving the game but I didnt think that was the games fault.

Im really searching my brain trying to find any early examples. I cant think of anything from the nes / genesis era.

I remember renting and hating Turok on the N64. I can distinctly remember it being an extremely dark game with a lot of fog and the controls being ass. I had no idea what the hell to do and gave up on it quickly.

I cant recall anything from the PS1 library

The game that definitively comes to mind when I think of disappointment is State of Emergency for the PS2. Coming off GTA 3 I remember buying it specifically because it had Rockstars name attached and believing it to be a big open world sandbox like GTA 3. I told my friend I got the game, he came over too we were both so excited about it and I waited for him to boot it up. Our disappointment was immeasurable and our day was ruined. We really tried to like it but ultimately it was the first time I realized games could be shit.

I find that beef rarely works well cold in a sandwich unless it's been cured. After a day, the myoglobin in the meat tends to form a slimy layer around it. Roast beef is the worst offender.

Also for the record. Im not gonna turn down a beef sandwich if there was one in front of me. But its always going to be inferior to pretty much any other sandwich

Why does it seem to be unlearnable for gamers today to understand how complex and expensive it is to create video games.

Yall just have zero ability to look at this hobby which you should have a decent understanding of, look at all the major developers, all the AAA games. And see that no one is able to produce a perfect games, games take much longer to make, are far more expensive to produce.

Does that mean theres no reason to complain? No of course not. There are some absolutely Shitty, inexcusable things. But some of you seem to expect a world that doesnt exist.

Because my backup camera shows me where to line up and theres absolutely no issue backing in.

Where as backing out Im paying attention to the camera, the windows, the mirrors and the vehicles next to me.

I always back in everywhere I go now. Its saves so much hassle.

I hate the feeling that Im going to scrape the cars next to me while backing out of a tight space.
