EDIT: Though throwing it in a shit ton of theaters over the weak weekend feels kinda cheap

How long has WW been playing in comparison to some of the movies it's passing?

It's starting to feel kind of unimpressive since it feels like they're keeping it in theaters as long as they possibly can just for this reason.

See as far as qualified goes, Person A and Person B wouldn't even be a decision if past misdemeanors was non-qualifier. The application wouldn't be accepted.

There are jobs that qualifications do not allow people with past felonies to apply. Or say a Dui.

For example, a person with a DUI is not qualified to be a trucker in most companies.

Let's say the amounts Person B stole were small enough that no charges were pressed, they were just terminated immediately. So, no misdemeanors. Do you consider Person A and B equally qualified?

Yes. They are equally qualified even with a misdemeanor theft if the job doesn't deem that as a non-qualifier also.

I would expect that Person A would be chosen for being what the interviewer felt was the right choice, however, in the misdemeanor scenario.

I expect Person A is more likely to be chosen if they have an impeccable work record compared to the fired Person b after the interview process.

Okay. So you define "Qualified" strictly by the the most bare minimum of terms, and that it cannot change. Got it.

Odd, but fair enough.

Corrick you know when people are saying qualified here they're referring to a person's ability to competently perform the job, not their fulfillment of the official minimum requirements.

But in his mind the word "qualified" means the latter, so this whole argument is dumb because you're all disagreeing on what the word even means

I get that. I'm just trying to fully understand a baseline for what he considers "qualified." Like, if it's strictly only the bare minimum that is written down, and doesn't include conduct breaches, etc.

Corrik, last question I have on this:

If there are two people applying for a cashier job, and they're equal in everything else except:

Person A has a clean record.
Person B has been fired multiple times from previous jobs for stealing from the cash register.

You don't think Person B should be deemed less qualified for a cashier job?

You really struggle with the concept of qualified.

...Yes, they are absolutely not qualified to work the job, since they were unable to follow the rules. "Doesn't steal from the cash register" is definitely a qualification to hold a cashier job.

Are you insane?

Let's just agree that we view qualifications differently. I view them as objectively stated, and you view them as implied by your own thoughts of qualifications.

If you think inability to stop stealing doesn't make somebody unqualified for a job involving money, I'm not sure that you're viewing things objectively.

Impeachment is basically for when it is felt that the president is no longer qualified to hold the role. for whatever reason.

If Trump were to get impeached, is he suddenly being de-aged so he no longer qualifies for eligibility? Or is your argument over semantics just dumb?

Impeachment is usually reserved for breaking the law.

Bill Clinton was impeached. You, I bet, considered him a good president.

hose are the list of qualifications necessary for the job. Nothing else is required.

I suggest you separate from what you personally find acceptable for the job and what the actual qualifications are.

You are trying to be subjective with an objective matter which is clearly stated.

Those are the qualifications to be eligible. There are obviously different qualifications expected to hold/maintain the position, or else impeachment wouldn't exist.

You can be qualified/deemed eligible to apply for a certain job, but then in the interview you can be deemed unqualified to actually be given the position.

This is a comment on the games, not the system. You can make an XBOne or PS4 game that requires a memory card to play if you make it require terabytes of storage. They're just saying that some games are big.

There is games like 130gbs on x1 and ps4

Which? I'm finding the CoD games hitting 90-100, but that's with all of the DLC. It's just a 44gb install.

It is not running out of space if you never had the space to begin with. That's why I feel you are trying to argue the same thing in an argumentative way. Someone has compared running out of space on an xbox 1 or so after you have 10 games downloaded. That is not a fair or apt comparison at all.

Eh, it's not entirely fair to put it that way, since that's kinda suggesting the Switch doesn't have ANY internal storage space on it. It does, and can hold atleast a few games. This is just a case where the game happens to require more download and install space than the internal storage provides, which is likely to be a rare case.

If nba 2k18 can't do it, it is not gonna be a rare case if they expect to get third party titles like the other consoles

Eh, not necessarily. NBA 2K is one of the biggest games, size-wise.

NBA 2K18 for Xbox One/PS4 is 45 GB, for instance. On Switch, it's 25.

Most other big games are around 35 or less, which... Assuming the same rate of conversion, would end up 20 or less on Switch, which the Switch can handle.

Obviously, that's not perfect. But the NBA 2K series is one of the biggest, install size-wise, by far, and most games don't go near it.

I can't think of any system where that is the case. Maybe with N64's expansion slot? = /

It's basically a case of Nintendo not catching up with the times fast enough. This game wouldn't have worked on the original 360 without a memory card, either... But it wasn't a problem back then. What was fine back then isn't fine now, though, and Nintendo didn't seem to get the memo.

Granted, MicroSD cards are dirt cheap, so it's not a huge issue. If this was Sony, it'd be a major problem because of their shitty, overpriced proprietary cards.

Vita, as mentioned. And every system requires some type of storage to play. Other systems are just better than Switch when it comes to internal storage. But if you fill that up, you can't play any new games until you either delete something or add more storage.

That's not what this is referring to. You literally cannot play the full game at all without a memory card. Has NOTHING to do with running out of space.

Yes it does.

You need a memory card only because the Switch does not have enough internal storage for the downloads/install. It's not a case of some kind of "This HAS to have a memory card and can't use internal storage" case. It's just that the Switch doesn't have enough storage normally. It's the exact same case as "running out of space," except it's because the Switch never had enough space to begin with. The games in question are too big. If the Switch came with like, 500gb like it should've, there'd be no memory card required.

Well, yeah. That was just the closest example to go "They didn't just reuse MvC models"

EDIT: Looking at the SFV model, the SFV one had more pouches on her belt than the Puzzle Fighter one does, too. There are several minor things like that, besides the obvious proportion differences.

I mean I have eyes and I can see that they are the same models and animations. And it's definitely something that would work because Mortal Kombat did it more than a decade ago.

But no let's believe Capcom recycled 80% of the models for MvC Infinite, but they're creating new content for a fucking mobile game.

I mean, it has characters that aren't in those games, so if they had to make those models from scratch, why not the rest? Also, one look at somebody like Chun Li would say the proportions aren't even close to the same as the MvC models.

I mean if I had a son and he said Bumblebee I wouldn't even think he meant the Barbie or girl themed toys

Again, though, that's assuming the parent even knows these characters exist. Hasbro's argument would be about people who don't know the robot exists/what it looks like/etc.

You have to realize that both Hasbro and DC are going to be arguing that we, as consumers, are either complete idiots who would do no research and/or not be able to tell the difference, or nerds who know all of these characters and would scoff at the thought of getting them confused and/or label our kids with gender stereotypes.

That's how trademark cases go.

To be fair, it can be pretty tough to keep up with what a kid likes, especially since kids are very particular.

When I was a kid, I liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Street Sharks, and Biker Mice from Mars. They're all basically the same thing. Get me any one of those and I was happy. But for some reason, I didn't like the dinosaur TMNT rip-off, despite liking all the other rip-offs. So I never wanted the dinosaur ones. But as an adult, I can see how I could definitely make that mistake for my kid.

Having worked in retail, I remember a case where a parent knew their kid wanted Shopkins, but then panicked when they didn't know if the kid wanted the food Shopkins, the Shopkins based on shoes and purses and shit, the Shopkins based on electronics, etc. Because the kid just said "Shopkins."

Actually, after some quick Googling, I'd bet it really is the Lego sets that spawned the issue.

Just hits on too many notes. "Bumblebee." The fact that both showcase vehicles. And while the Transformers one isn't Lego, it's what one typically thinks of when they think of building block toys, and what a kid may actually call it ("I want Lego Bumblebee!") and they'd be in the same section, with the Legos having more space and prominence.

That's gonna make it tougher on DC.

Now, to be fair, I don't imagine this would be a problem for the action figures. Boy and girl action figures typically aren't kept together, so you'd assume a boy that wants a Transformer isn't going to have parents that are looking for it near the Barbies

That said, Hasbro has a pretty decent case when it comes to the Lego sets, since somebody who doesn't know what "Bumblebee" is are just going to look for a Lego set that says Bumblebee.
