I'm never gonna argue that Carr isn't "good." I'm just arguing that Carr is the type of QB that can be decent, but isn't truly winning anything unless you build the whole team around them, and he's just not worth that. They can do better. His under pressure instincts are much more "miss" than they are "hit."

Raiders are never gonna win anything with Carr. They need to better deal that guy as soon as they can.

Even Watchog, the most gen 1-esque Pokemon in gen 5, has higher attack than Raticate.

Barely, and it's much slower.

In other news, Cyber Ninjas was court ordered to turn over all of their findings and methods and so on from the audit they conducted. Instead of complying, the CEO fired everybody in the company and filed for bankruptcy, claiming they now do not have the money required to comply with the court's orders. Said CEO then turned around and said he's now attempting to start a new, similar company, with the exact same workers he fired, and continue business in election auditing.

I think the issue is that there's a legitimate problem of hospitals being overloaded because of anti-vax fuckers. The solution obviously isn't as easy as "deny care," but where we're currently at is a sad reality where good people are dying from other reasons because anti-vax assholes are clogging up hospitals and thus denying non-assholes care, and that's obviously frustrating to people. As it stands right now, said anti-vax fuckers are just free to keep being anti-vax fuckers because they're so easily able to hog up resources from more deserving people, and that's never going to change as it currently stands. The selfish are actually being rewarded for being selfish, while good people are suffering while we placate these assholes.

My patience with anti-vaxxers is at absolute zero. They are not good people. They are not deserving of being saved while others die because of their selfish actions. And yet we can apparently do nothing to punish them, and thus they will continue to be selfish, awful, terrible anti-vax assholes.

Game Pass is fantastic. I thought it was something eh like PS Now, but it's worlds better. Extremely worth it.

I've said like multiple times I'm not even necessarily for total denial and it's probably not a good idea. The post you replied to even specifically said that and suggested the "reserve beds" tactic.

I don't think it's at all fair to equate something like reserving a certain amount of beds for non-covid cases to "death panels."

In either scenario, you're telling somebody you can't treat them.

It's just "Sorry, we know you had a heart attack but we can't treat you, we're full of anti-vaxxers with covid"

Yeah, even in the event literally none of the anti-vaxxers change their conduct if it becomes harder for them to get treatment, it's still a net positive. Nobody should have to die because anti-vaxxers kept them from getting into a hospital. I wouldn't hold this opinion if this wasn't happening. I'm not saying reserve care because of spite. The overcrowding is a legitimate issue.

Hell, I'm not even saying completely refuse care. Reserve a number of beds for non-covid cases, whatever. Just do something.

Based on how these types of people shrivel up in the face of the slightest repercussions, I think it would have an impact, yes, if they couldn't just freely get treated for it whenever they got it instead of getting the vaccine. At the very least, it'd help with the problem of hospital overcrowding.

These people go into the hospital, and then whine, cry, and threaten doctors who won't give them ivermectin or whatever the fuck it is now. Part of me says just leave them to take their shitty dewormer themselves and cure themselves with their own "research," and see how it changes things when they realize the results first hand.

EDIT: Basically, if their choices were only hurting them? Whatever. But when it's hurting others, including people even without covid, SOMETHING needs to be done.

I think I'm generally just tired of slippery slope reasoning being an excuse to refuse any and all progress.

That's missing the point a bit.

Said people either die, where then obviously they're not going to learn anything from it, and we've seen that apparently their family/friends/etc. don't, either, or they get better from antibody treatments and have literally no incentive to learn from their behavior.

We, sadly, live in a time where people don't give a shit just because other people are dying. They only give a shit if they are personally inconvenienced.

I'll admit the "refuse care" bit is very extreme and probably not a good idea, but we've gotta do SOMETHING. Even if it's just the aforementioned raising of insurance premiums.

It's way too easy to be an anti-vaxxer and see no repercussions, because if they get sick they just run off to the hospital, get antibody treatment, and then don't change their ways in the slightest.

The problem I have with this argument is that they're dying, anyway, but the current way they're dying is causing unrelated deaths by virtue of them taking up beds that they, frankly, don't deserve.

Being unvaccinated is unique in that you're literally offered a form of free health care already, and yet you refuse it.

I'd also like to take this time to actually apologize to people like Tony, since I was basically a reluctant Hillary voter because I had kinda resigned myself to thinking about what people will be willing to vote for instead of what people actually need. I wasn't looking beyond the weeds in front of my face, and frankly, that's doing a disservice.

It's just tough to look at voting patterns now and how people are in general, and to then actually have hope for a progressive managing to get in a position to make a real difference.

Yeah, those who are the most well off will have less need for various social programs, but if you design a robust social safety net then the people who do get lifted up by it will be in a better position to contribute positively to the system moving forward.

This is the thing. People seem to readily forget that they're ALREADY taking your money. The only difference is in what it's used for.

Yeah, this. It actually makes sense that a group would have a less diverse list than a single person, since everything said single person listed it going to make their list, obviously, whereas only the top X things that the group of people agreed on most will make that list.

I personally would never trust an Acer gaming laptop though. A modestly specced Acer for office applications will practically fall apart with normal use after a few years. I can't imagine a gaming laptop with the higher heat output lasting long, especially if it's used.

(Though I haven't actually had an Acer or seen anyone else's Acer in many years so maybe they're less junky now)

Acer used to be crap, but this hasn't really been true for awhile, now.

Pokemon Sun/Moon had a popular story when it first came out. But, a few years later the online Pokemon community decided they hated that story as well.

To be fair, I don't think they liked the actual story as much as they liked the idea that it didn't follow the "8 gyms" structure. But then they kinda realized it was basically the same thing, but even less interesting.

To be clear, my point isn't that Pokemon shouldn't have better stories, it's just that the average player doesn't care when they don't. They've become used to enjoying Pokemon for other reasons.
