Like, I get that's inherently sexist a little bit, but no more than really anything else in wrestling, to the point where I don't see why it's getting called out.

I mean, if we acknowledge it's sexist (and I even said it was a tiny bit, not OMG YOU PIG) then I don't feel like it shouldn't be acknowledged, and everyone knows that you're not some raging sexist so I don't know why we shouldn't hold ourselves to a higher standard.

We'd probably hold ourselves to a higher standard when wrestling itself does.

I mean, let's be honest, here. Most of them try/intend to be seen as hot/attractive. So why is that okay, but it's not okay to acknowledge it?

Uh, I think the whole "at least she was hot" thing is kinda where it gets sexist. Like the "oh she can be a shit wrestler as long as I think she's hot" part.

Since when has "This wrestler is hot" being described as a perk turned into some big "Oh no you didn't" sexist thing.

Cause you didn't describe it as a perk.

You described as something that would make you ok with Sasha being a terrible wrestler because "at least she's hot."

Not really? I said she WAS a good wrestler that has basically stagnated to the point where I don't want to see her on TV, and there's no "Atleast she's hot" that changes that opinion any. I'm not really sure there's a difference between that and thinking of it as a perk. It's not like I'm saying "Yeah, man, Eva Marie was a great contribution!"

Like, I get that's inherently sexist a little bit, but no more than really anything else in wrestling, to the point where I don't see why it's getting called out.

Right but at least I know I'll get good matches out of Sasha.

Bliss... not so much.

Sasha forgot how to put on good matches a long time ago. Now her matches consist of four overly contrived spots, one of which is needlessly dangerous and looks like shit, anyway, so why does she even do it.

When the least offensive thing you do is a poorly executed move dedicated to a dead guy, you've gone too far in trying to "steal the show."

I used to think "Atleast she's hot," but now it looks like she literally sweats hair dye and foundation. I can't even remember what her natural hair color is. Hell, I'm not sure I even know what color she is anymore, since the mat always looks like somebody had a bad time with a birthday cake after her matches.

I guess you could say I'm over her just a little

I'd actually say Roman winning would be a better result than this, because I'm guessing we won't get Lesnar defending again until Survivor Series?

And like where do these guys go? Maybe you pair Joe and Reigns off and that's ok I guess, but what about Strowman?

This is why it's even worse than Reigns winning. Lesnar will disappear for awhile again, and the other three have to basically... Keep fighting each other?

I remember sorta breaking my role in one of them

My role was a janitor. So I wanted to see how successfully I could clean up blood. So I took my mop apart and used the sharper end to cut myself, then let it dry and cleaned up the blood. ...But then I found out that I was actually an assassin, which was only to be revealed if I drew blood with my mop.

So I assume I was supposed to find that out by attacking somebody with my mop. But instead I just used it on myself in something completely different.

Sadly, I never got to take advantage of the knowledge since things went insane immediately after.

Also, Owens pulled Shane into the 450, he was just very subtle about it, like the stumble into the ropes. He deserved to lose.

Oh, I know that

I just meant that his intention was to land across Owens's body

Instead, he landed across Shane's body

But sold it like Owens got the legs up, or he landed on a chair, or something

It just was amusing to me

The First Amendment is still in place, which means people with terrible ideas are still allowed to express them publicly. It doesn't protect violence.

Nazi rhetoric is violence. It goes above and beyond general racism and into being an actionable threat just by its mere public utterance

No, it's not, and I hate you for making me defend Nazis. Until somebody starts making specific threats like, "We need to bomb the XYZ Building," or, "We need to kill Jane Smith," it doesn't reach the level of actionable.

But let's take your argument and pretend you're right. Does that call for vigilante tactics? Shouldn't these counter-protesters call for the police? And if not, then why are they the only movement that's allowed to be violent?

This is just dangerous. The guy that ran people over with his car did it BECAUSE of those words.

Just sweeping them under the rug and referring to people like that as "crazies" is not helping anything.

And even the people that ARE crazy... Them being able to hear that rhetoric over and over is more likely to move them to action. Look at the guy that shot up that pizza joint because of Pizzagate. Do you think he would have done that if "Pizzagate" wasn't being spread around as if it was fact? Now consider that Nazis are spreading far, far worse.

I think we can ALL agree that this is great counter-protesting

Ride of the Valkyries was perhaps not the best choice, as Richard Wagner was actually really antisemitic (to the point that a) when Hitler and the Nazis took over Germany he was on the list of approved, properly German composers whose music it was okay to perform, and b) for a long time you couldn't perform his music in Israel).

I think we're reaching the "Too far" point of what we're deeming acceptable, now.

Now, to be fair, that isn't to say these people couldn't actually be convicted of these felonies. It's just to say that the prosecutor didn't go "Yep, this is absolutely a felony" when the charges were made, because they wouldn't have actually even gone over the evidence by that point, yet.

Like, this isn't a challenging concept at all.

If a prosecutor knows they can prove Charge A, and knows they can prove Charge B, but isn't sure they can 100% prove Charge C (but it's not impossible, given the jury/judge/etc), they will go with all three charges, A, B, and C, so that they can plead down to A and B to make it look like the defendant is getting something out of it.

I wonder if Corrik realizes that plea deals typically don't happen if it's 100% sure the crime happened, so the very existence of a plea deal suggests the prosecutor thought they may not win the case on that specific charge.

Prosecutors only plead down to the highest thing they know they can undoubtedly prove.

This is 150% false. Absolutely.

They aim for the highest crime and as many crimes as they possibly can, even if they know it won't fly in court, so that if they do choose to plea, they can start higher. Or if it gets knocked down by the judge, etc.
