Hey, I didn't want to assassinate Chris N1 in Guild Wars!

Do we have a running total for recent town win/losses and whether the games had assassins in?

From what I can see Town is 5 wins, 5 losses over the last 10 games but some endgame topics are god awful and it's hard to see who even won, let alone what roles were used.


I'm not again making Assassins more uncommon. I just think Town already gets it stacked in their favour and maybe it's because I'm not an avid player/follower but mafia's win record doesn't seem to be overwhelmingly better than towns.

Could we not just make a weaker form of assassin for smaller games? Like I dunno, make it unuseable N1.

Or make it a poisoner variant that is an unblockable kill but has to be set up the previous night like poisoner and doesn't work if the assassin dies before performing the kill. Then either scum get a refund or its wasted entirely if the target dies before the next night.

Were the Bellas actually fired? I know their contracts expired but were they offered a new deal and they refused or just flat out weren't offered anything?

Seems weird that they would give them the title on the way out if they weren't wanted.

Ferrer has a very good chance of beating Murray. Murray has never beaten Ferrer on clay (0-3). Granted one of those was back in 06 but the other two were in 2010 iirc, I think at Madrid and Rome and both in straight sets.

Murray has just been dumping far too many shots into the net really. I expect he'll pull through though. Everyone knows that Gasquet is mentally frail over 5 sets. If Gasquet is to win, he has to do it in 3 imho.

Even if he goes 2 sets up, it'll probably be niggling at the back of his head that he's been in that position twice before against Murray in slams and binned it.

It's a crying shame really because his game is fantastic. He's certainly a better player than Murray imo, it's just his stamina/mental fragility that holds him back.

The quality of play in this Sharapova match is absolutely awful. I find it hard enough to watch womens matches as it is with all the grunting. It's completely unnecessary.

Not looking likely but I'd rather Zakopalova wins purely because she doesn't grunt.

Kinda. It wasn't straight. I woke up in the middle but didn't actually get out of bed, just kinda rolled over and went back to sleep. I was ill at the time though.

I generally sleep a lot after music festivals which are generally 5+ days of solid all day drinking. But it's never 24 hours, usually 14 ish (Once 18) or possibly less but with a nap later.

I've witnessed people get naked after doing coke before. And it does make you grind your own teeth a lot without being able to stop it. But that's kinda your own face not somebody elses.

And damnit, I'm emigrating to Florida in the future and loads of crazy crap always happens there. Atm I spend like a few months there and the rest in the UK.

If all those players had played to their 2010/11 form then Liverpool would have done a hell of a lot better. And I say this as a Utd fan.

Andy Carroll went from a goal every 85 mins to a goal every 516 minutes

Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing created 167 chances in 2010/11 and then only returned 1 assist between them in 2011/12

Charlie Adam managed 12 and 18 goals for Blackpool then only returned 2 goals for Liverpool. His assists dropped from 8 to 6 too.

Gerrard managed a paltry 12 starts.

Liverpool hit the woodwork a staggering 29 times this season.



Like I said, I'm a Utd fan and even I'll admit they were very unlucky this year. They dominated a lot of games but did not convert them into wins. I don't care how good a manager you are, nobody could predict such huge drop off in form of players who were playing in a team dominating proceedings.

Also, remember than Comolli was responsible for all of Liverpool's summer signings not Dalglish.

The thing with Liverpool was that whilst their position was poor, they weren't playing poor. They were outplaying teams and dominating matches but just not scoring.

At that point it isn't the manager's fault, it's 100% down to the players. The manager's tactics were clearly working, the players just weren't finishing off the job. Maybe he needed more clinical finishers but on paper Liverpool didn't look that bad pre-season. It's only hindsight that has made us say they were crap.

Henderson was good for Sunderland last year. Downing created more chances than any other player in 10/11 before his complete blank this year. Carroll was banging them in for Nexcastle. Etc.

I think Dalglish was just very unlucky. The team played well without winning due to individuals not pulling their weight. He was missing Gerrard most of the year. Plus they hit the woodwork an astronomical amount this year.

I kinda feel sorry for him.

I don't think it's mega popular ot anything but I think it's generally pretty well received (least that was the opinion I got on B8).

I know I enjoy it and have never had issues finding matches / other people that play it.

Barton is an absolute disgrace to football.

For the full season I'd have to say Rooney has been our best player. Just for the second half then probably Valencia (although Scholes is worth a shout).

That was gutwrenching when Aguero scored but even when it was 2-1 in the 90th minute I still thought City would pull it off so not terribly upset about it. Over the season they were the better side and it's shocking that we were still in the title hunt tbh with some of the dross we've put in this year. It's the worst side we've had in a long time so to get 89pts is amazing.

I really feel sorry for Bolton though. That first goal was a blatant foul and shouldn't have been allowed and the penalty was incredibly dubious imo. So they have been relegated off the back of 2 bad refereeing decisions.


Also, may not have won the H2H league but won the B8 fantasy football league for most points :D

Aguero putting in that last minute winner also made me beat my friend by 3 points. Obviously I'd have preferred Utd to win the title though >_>

My char on Ragnarok is Kaith Laqueus, I play in EU time as does most of my LS but you're more than welcome to join us if you want.

We're a pretty small LS, just like 8 or so atm. Basically we all played together in XI for 5+ years so stuck together in XIV.

It is a lot better than it used to be but admittedly still has a lot of flaws. It seems to me that they are putting all their eggs into the 2.0 basket and just keeping enough development on pre-2.0 to keep players happy. They all took all their staff from XI to focus on 2.0 too (There's like 2-5 XI staff now).

I'm basically playing now so that I can experience pre-2.0 content that won't be around after 2.0.

See, I was thinking that about Punk myself. Where on earth does he go from here and who out there actually challenges him nowadays anyway?

It's a shame Bryan is Smackdown based and just coming out of the title picture there. I mean Bryan and Punk were even when they had their matches earlier in the year.

Speaking of Bryan, he seriously needs a back-up finished since some faces just don't tap. So he's basically relying on roll-ups or shenanigans to beat them. That was part of the problem I had buying into his Sheamus feud, I just couldn't see how Bryan was going to beat Sheamus. Especially for 2 pinfalls.

I don't get this logic. Surely try it now and decide in your trial period whether it's worth playing or not rather than getting people to write it off completely without playing. It's not like you have to go out and pay $60+ for the game to try it.
