You don't get it. With this action they've proven that they can simply refuse to respect the results of any election they don't like. So mail campaigns, voter education, or anything related to that is pointless. Picketing, protests, shit like that may work, but remember what happened with the George Floyd protests? The state simply allowed the cops to gloves off and brutalize anyone who got in the streets. Any police response to a concerted effort here will be even worse because the GOP cannot allow this to be contested or questioned if their path going forward is to simply refuse to acknowledge the results of any election they don't like. Resistance to that has to be crushed immediately, that's how fascism works. So in that event what action do you believe to be the proper course? Democracy or any form of representative governance exists only at the sufferance of those who would be bound to it. Once it's decided that a group of people can ignore the results of the vote, if the response is not swift and harsh, then your democracy is dead. So then they passed it through the legislature twice IIRC and the Dem governor vetoed it both times. So then they got a GOP Governor, tried via ballot measure, failed, then passed it through the legislature. It was then repealed through a ballot measure brought by petition. So now the state legislature wants to make it harder to bring things to the ballot box via petition.
