It's very easy to ignore these things if you really want to, if you restrict voting, and have the police on your side. The only one with a potential effect is collective action if that takes the form of strikes or riots. At the end of the day, you have to affect their money or physical security.

You don't get it. With this action they've proven that they can simply refuse to respect the results of any election they don't like. So mail campaigns, voter education, or anything related to that is pointless.

Picketing, protests, shit like that may work, but remember what happened with the George Floyd protests? The state simply allowed the cops to gloves off and brutalize anyone who got in the streets.

Any police response to a concerted effort here will be even worse because the GOP cannot allow this to be contested or questioned if their path going forward is to simply refuse to acknowledge the results of any election they don't like. Resistance to that has to be crushed immediately, that's how fascism works.

So in that event what action do you believe to be the proper course?

Democracy or any form of representative governance exists only at the sufferance of those who would be bound to it. Once it's decided that a group of people can ignore the results of the vote, if the response is not swift and harsh, then your democracy is dead.

This is a very pivotal moment here from which the direction of this country going forward will be decided, and based on the way Jan 6th and Trump have been handled I have very little faith that the correct choice will be made.
