20 y/o Kaylee Muthart from South Carolina did the unthinkable after she ran outside of a church while high on METH and then proceeded to RIP HER EYES OUT in front of horrified people who tried to stop her!!

She's been on meth for 6 moths when she freaked out on February 6th according to her mother, Katy Tompkins who's a mother of SEVEN, including Kaylee..

Katy thinks her daughter started using the drug unintentionally last year when someone gave her marijuana laced with the drug and doctors believe that the meth she smoked earlier this month was also laced with a chemical that caused her to hallucinate

She thought the world was "upside down" and heard "voices" that told her to sacrifice her eyes in order to get to heaven!!

Just days before this though she said she was ready to go into drug rehab..and her mother said she was ready to have her committed and off the streets but it was too late.

Parishioners at South Main Chapel and Mercy Centre heard her screams and ran outside and saw her holding her EYEBALL as they tried to stop her from ripping her other eye out..but she fought them back and when paramedics arrived to try to stop her, it was too late as she gouged out her other eye..

Police finally restrained her where she was taken to hospital..

Katy said she can't explain what she was on that made her do it was it was horrifying for everyone involved..but she's thankful that she is alive..

Doctors cleaned and treated her orbital sockets to prevent infection and recommend she get prosthetic eyes to preserve her facial structure..

Katy said after Kaylee gets out as she will now live the world as a blind woman, she wants to share her story around the state on the dangers of drug use..Katy is thankful that God spared her life as the family has created a Gofundme page to raise money for an eye seeing dog for Kaylee..

I did a lot of drugs when I was younger, including meth. It's just speed. Think really strong coke that lasts all day. Whatever the case, it wasn't the meth that made her do that, it was some kind of severe mental issue. What meth WILL make you do is put some cookies in the oven, paint your house, mow the lawn, help a friend move, and run a marathon, then pace back and forth waiting for the cookies to finish baking.

I call BS on that. You are not going to get addicted to meth by doing it once. That sounds like something she made up to tell her mom, who believed her because she is naive.

People also don't generally lace weed with a more expensive drug to trick people.

People who are on benders from meth, do act pretty crazy though, I think a lot of it has to do with sleep deprivation mixed with the effects of the drug.

There was a show about the guy who bends pots and pans with just his body and while strong, one of the biggest factors to get over is the amount of pain squishing your hands against metal and shit causes.

I imagine drugs like meth can get you over those inhibitions and tap into a great deal of strength that is normally held back.

meth is actually in a way safer then cocaine because it doesn't really harm the heart if it's clean
i could see someone doing this if they O.D.'d but they would have to be up for weeks or something

Worth remembering that meth usage is something like twice that of heroin (according to the NIH's National Survey on Drug Use and Health) yet we hear constant stuff about heroin at the national and state level. I guess meth slips under the radar because it's a poor white drug.
