The problem is a combination of both. Media presenting the idea that a certain way is the ONLY way to attract the opposite (or same) sex.

But that's slowly changing. Example: fashion models having more "normal" body proportions. Certain media and ad campaigns pushing the idea that whatever you are is good enough.

Your suggestion it to basically live life in a bubble and reject all outside influences to create your own narrative. And for the majority, that's impossible.

One could even say your idea to idolize your brother is unhealthy behavior, as you should strive to be your own person, not emulate someone else.

They did have a strategy. Kill the Night King. That is the only strategy that was ever going to work. Youre talking about battle formations like that would have mattered when the Night King could have resurrected everyone at any time.

You cant use conventional strategies against nonconventional enemies.

It's been talked about and evaluated for decades now.
If you think it's a "made up narrative" then you're entirely beyond help.

I'm perfectly comfortable in my body and with my life.
I just know that media and social media have been a huge detriment to mental health as far as body image goes, across both genders.

Maybe look up some studies on the topic before looking like a fool.

This man looks entirely average. Not defined or even very visible as far as muscle goes. He's got a layer of fat on him, and isn't overly lean. Even his arms aren't very defined or "muscular".
Yet he is a premiere athlete, and in peak physical shape.

The media has, for the longest time, pushed the first body type as "ideal" and "better". That every man should have that type of body, and having less is shameful.
It's in advertisements, hollywood, magazines. Prevalent.

The second body type is "undesirable" and "unattractive" by typical beauty standards. Yet he's inarguable a strong and very athletic man.

His body should not be looked down on.

Ill say this is somewhat valid but later in the show they shared resources which would explain that. They had dragons that flew and plenty of ships that were available to transport them.

One example of this is when Stannis gives Jon his fleet to transport the Wildlings. That wasnt possible until those characters came together and made it so.

You are completely ignoring the fact that the show based it's entirety on being grounded in a fantasy world. It was never high fantasy like Lord of the Rings, and it established that major characters CAN and WILL die from something as small as a cut that gets infected, or unceremoniously gets caught in the game and killed. Yet you think, in the Battle of Winterfell, seeing a massive swarming army of undead, literally swarming Jon Snow, Brienne, all the characters, even being shoved up against a wall by HUNDREDS of undead, and none of them die?

Grounded in a fantasy world yes so why are you so upset about realism? Fantasy isnt real. It never was.

The episode being too dark is a valid complaint but I completely disagree about everything else. The show was never realistic. There are zombies literally from the very first episode.

There is only so far most people can suspend disbelief. The show is rooted in real medieval history. Yes, it has fantastical elements but come on, you've built up characters for 8 seasons, and then you just completely screw them over character wise. You have some experienced, and proven on screen, battle tacticians (Jaime, Tyrion, Jorah, and others), and they plan a battle like a twelve year old playing Total War for the first time.

If you wanted to go the route of no tactics, don't build up the entire show the be grounded in realism and then do a 180 in the ultimate battle. Literally the worst possible way to tell a story.

Dude tactics go out the window when you are fighting an enemy that defies the laws of nature. They were literally fighting undead that could be resurrected at any time. No amount of tactics would have changed that their only hope was to kill the Night King which they repeatedly tried to do.

Genuine question, what did you find amazing about it? Because from a tactical perspective it was atrocious, and from a story telling perspective it wasn't much better. There was no lead up to the end, Bran did shit all despite supposedly being this all powerful seer, and the only named characters who died were Ser Friendzone and discount Bronn I think, despite multiple characters being put in positions where there really was no way out. Quite frankly it could have easily been a shitty filler episode if not for those two characters.

He'll the dothraki just respawned in the next episode, despite allegedly being wiped out in what was probably the worst use of cavalry in all of fiction.

It was epic. It was the culmination of the show weve been waiting for since the beginning. Small details like tactics and accuracy were irrelevant to me at that point. Jon and Dany going right at the Night King, Jorah redeeming himself to protect Dany, Arya got her moment to shine, Bran did exactly what hes always done which is relay info and just be in the right place at the right time. He never got involved in the battles or conflicts literally ever so really what were you expecting?

I just cannot fathom watching a show for that long, getting to the absolute climax then being upset over the realism of the tactics. This shit isnt meant to be historically accurate bro. Its fake.

For a narratively driven show, you need competent writing and story. The fall began in season 6, where they began rushing things (like teleporting littlefinger).

And the battle of winterfell... Probably the single worst written battle in all of fiction. Season 1 through 3 are amazing, season 4 is still really good, but that is where I noticed the first couple cracks forming, and the show making changes that serve no logical purpose and just ruin a couple key storylines. It is all down hill from there.

So dramatic.

Game of Thrones is great if you just enjoy it for what it is. I wish I could go back and watch it for the first time.

Its ok. My problem with Cyberpunk has nothing to do with bugs or performance. The game just feels hollow. The story is beyond predictable and the side missions are repetitive.

It was definitely fun up until that point where I hit that wall.
