Show us where Bernie touched you.

The entire country is about to collapse forever and you want to stay the course versus the fascists.

Bernie's first campaign helped pave the way for Trumps reign and the rise of fascism by constructing a very successful smear campaign against Hillary.

Populism breeds unthinking, undying supporters. Because when you tell everyone "it's us against the elite, and I'm the only one that can lead us through", people start to believe it.

I dont think its scummy. It just seems logical for people whose politics are most like Bidens to endorse him when they drop out.

Historically basically nobody drops out between South Carolina and Super Tuesday. Before 2020 the only candidate to do so in modern history was some guy who got forced out by a personal scandal. Since the ST is only days after SC, even a failing campaign loses nothing by staying in until ST.

The unusual timing indicates that the candidates rushed the closure of their campaigns explictly to change the results, which is eh. But candidates aside a bunch of other Dem. leaders like Harry Reid and also inexplicably chose to endorse Biden at the same time. It's like they were never big fans of Biden himself but just really wanted someone to beat Bernie.

He barely won. After Trump had openly attempted to use foreign agents to try to tank another opponent, for the second time, and got impeached.

If things go the slightest bit wrong in 2024, we could easily get another Trump presidency.

I dont know much about Klobucher, but I do remember that South Carolina essentially killed any last tiny sliver of hope Buttigieg had. He might not have lost anything (aside from other peoples money, which should not be discounted) but I can only imagine the political capital he gained from a pre ST Biden endorsement was inifinitely more useful than a limp dick campaign death on ST would have been.

Historical precedent or no, his actions strike me as incredibly logical and not requiring the invocation of conspiracy unless you wanna challenge Occams Razor in the name of Bernie Sanders.

Probably the best "person" who's actually ever been a politician (Carter maybe), and I would vote for him, but man we really need younger folks in office.

But Biden has already made plans to run of course. Funny too cause I remember so many people saying he wouldn't run for re-election, lol.

Bernie running continues to be the worst thing for the left.

We need someone less stupidly polarizing on the left. Everytime that dude runs for anything a small subgroup of leftists work very hard to make it seem like any of his opponents are pure evil.
Bernie is about as inoffensive as it gets. He's incredibly well liked in general for it. Even as MSNBC hosts only mention him to say they're afraid he's going to execute them in Central Park or that they bet he wouldn't help someone who's car broke down. The nonstop attacks didn't work so messaging from opponents shifted to it's ok to like him, but he can't beat Trump. Which is really effective and I'm pessimistic that any left candidate will overcome it.

But if you're this easily convinced by the centrist podcast industrial complex that Bernie is the left's core problem, a pure evil sexist, fancifully marrying him to passionate randos on twitter and the evils of populism. You'll be easily duped into hating whoever the leading left candidate is.

If it was just him, then of course you're right. But like 20 other prominent Dems. somehow came to the same conclusions as him on the same day. And unlike him, they didn't have active campaigns that prevented them from endorsing Biden earlier.

And Warren didn't just stay in.

She broke a promise on super PAC money to keep her campaign afloat with no path forward. Then used the extra time that bought to paint the remaining left candidate as a sexist on her way out.

Imagine if Centrist Voltron did that instead. Take lefty donations to stay in, split the vote, and attack Biden.

First you said Berniebros were a tiny group. Now they're one of the responsible parties for the rise of the far right? Their smear campaign was so successful that it forced electors to go against the popular vote (which Hillary won)?

How about no one as any responsibility for the rise of fascism besides the people running on it and voting for it?
