Tbh, I do think a series like this can help educate people on how awful Dahmer was, and how awful cops can be; what better way to do educate young people than a Netflix series? And it is well-made.

I don't think it's made for people who fetishize serial killers; if people choose to masturbate over Dahmer, that's on them. It's to show how awful he was.

I always think about how all these narcissistic, psychopathic murderers and rapists would absolutely love tv shows and movies being made about them. It also gives me a queezy feeling seeing them romanticized so much. Its always made me mad that everyone can name tons of serial killers, but almost no one can name any of their victims. How about celebrating the lives of the victims and hearing their stories instead of these garbage POS's who should be thrown in the dumpster of history

I feel like you don't understand what the series depicts. He's not a character that is depicted with much of any sympathy, unlike say in The Joker, or depicted as cool, as in the joker in the Nolan movies.

He's just depicted as...a really slow kid with a fucked up fetish and no self control.

im like halfway through it and i feel divided about it.

on one hand, it does have some pretty dope production values. the acting, the cinematography and the soundtrack are pretty good! heck even the lighting on some of the scenes.

on the other, its pretty sick and twisted. makes me feel dirty just watching it due to how uncomfortable some scenes are. not hard to tell why some folks would be disgusted at this...
