All we have to do is get businesses to participate in the way that they should and already have in the past. Require vaccination for employment. The NFL doing so for example would be huge. The government doing so would also be huge although that may be done. It should come into play when applying for insurance as well. If you are unvaccinated you are in a higher risk class. Insurance companies already do this anyway. Make them pay higher premiums.

You just don't know what you're talking about lol. It's more like "Let's not uproot everything that we know, and turn society on it's head because I'd rather take a more gradual approach". Most Americans do not like far left ideology. There's a reason why someone like AOC (who I happen to think is based as fuck) would never be able to make it outside of an already blue area.

This is dumb. People say lets take a more gradual approach and then nothing ever gets done. Wages have been stagnant for years. There was plenty of time to take a gradual approach.

It can be done. Weve seen it. With the pandemic our world changed overnight and we got by just fine. Jobs that before people said couldnt be done from home were done just fine.

We can change shit people just dont want to because theyre in a position of comfort. He was exactly right. Tell all the homeless people and people barely making rent lets take a gradual approach.

It is you who doesnt know what theyre talking about TC. We say lets not do anything to help poor people out of fear that people that are relatively well off may be slightly less wealthy. Honestly disgusting.

Steph Curry wasnt recruited out of college because he was too small. Curry is 63 by the way. Anthony Davis went from barely any buzz to the #1 prospect after growing seven inches.

Skill matters but there is a very high floor you have to hit in terms of height to even be considered. Its the difference between even getting a workout and not. Guys in the NBA are huge.

it's a skill-based sport. height isn't everything. Steve Nash was like 6'3 and really quick with a high basketball IQ. then there are people under 6 ft like Nate Robinson and Isaiah Thomas. skill takes higher priority than height. the NBA learned this a long time ago.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CSI2ztxA7Po/?utm_medium=copy_link

Nah. If youre below 63 you basically have to play point guard which is the deepest position in the league. Theres also point guards that are like 66-68 now like Lonzo, Ben Simmons, Cade Cunningham who just went #1.

Skill matters but to even sniff the NBA you have to be at least like 62. Notice how everyone you listed isnt in the league anymore.

However now itll be like seatbelts

People huffed and puffed about them, yes. But the biggest convincer was seeing the math play put of a bad choice, and those damn dash dingers. Maybe we should have mask dingers, waaaaay more effective than just tryna strong arm these people

Loosen the bolts in a star pattern until theyre hand tight, find the jack, make sure its on the frame while lifting the car, jack it up, after theyre all hand tight unscrew by hand, remove the wheel, put the spare on, then do that entire process in reverse basically and tighten instead of loosen.

Pretty easy. Once you know how to do it shouldnt even take five minutes. Dont drive on the donut like you would a normal tire though. Id recommend you stay around 60 on it. Its a temporary thing not an actual replacement.

Do you want the government to decide when something is deemed important enough to take such measures that restricts freedoms of people? This is not individual restaurants or bars choosing whether or not they can ask for proof, which is egregious enough, but rather the government forcing them to.

Do you want them 10 years from now to say now you have to have a passport to travel between states because of "global warming" and you have to pay a fee to get a special card? Or that you can't drive to see your friend because you've already had 2 hours of drive time in a given week and don't have the proper credentials to operate your vehicle anymore?

Do you want them to put restrictions on your air conditioning because you didn't type in a special code on the app that controls your air conditioner that proves you've met your global warming requirements to be allowed to set your house to 70 degrees?

There's a whole entire host of dangers allowing them to force something like this. It completely takes away people's rights and it'll be even easier for them to take the next step, in whatever they want to do in the future.

There is no right to employment. Most employment is at will which means you can and will be fired whenever the business deems it necessary.

People use rights when they dont even know what their rights are. You have the right to make a choice. You dont have the right to make a choice and face no consequences though. Going into a private business is not a right. Being employed at any particular business is not a right.

This is stuff that has existed for years. Its no different than asking for a drug screen. Thats how stuff works. You guys act like you were born yesterday. This isnt new.

People started those jobs, realized they could make more money with less oversight. Theyre still supporting retail and restaurants but in different ways.

Consumers and businesses are also to blame. If online shopping demand goes up then there has to be resources devoted to that and businesses havent figured out how to balance both yet IMO. Customers are also just assholes. People dont want to deal with it. Be mad at them because everyones knows a couple people that are assholes in public settings.

What? No. Thats what has been told to us and people just dont want change.

We do not HAVE to live like this though. There is plenty of money for everyone to get paid. $15 should be minimum. Thats completely feasible. Corporations do not have to abuse workers to survive.

One last thing Ill add is dont read on the clock bro. A lot of jobs have downtime. In that downtime, either maintain the appearance of being busy or just be completely out of sight. Sitting there reading just gives an impression you will get off task on company time.

It is stupid and I dont agree with it but thats how jobs work. The bright side of that is youre getting paid to chill. Just enjoy it and dont do anything to bring attention. It could be worse. Last time I worked in an outbound calling role we had to spend at least 50% of our time on the phone. There was a significant amount of work besides calling too. I was making probably 100-200 calls a day. They tracked dial count, occupancy time, all that.

TLDR; Always maintain at least the appearance of being busy even if youre not.
