Like I'm actually confused on what this season did to contribute to the show's decline other than Michele winning, which, Adam and Sarah were the final straws.

The worst part about it is that I'm not even sure that the fire making challenge would've led to Jeff's desired outcome in GC (Brad winning). The best Brad could manage was a tie with Tai at the reunion after a season where Brad got a pretty strong edit and Tai didn't. Then you add in that Tai probably gets credit for taking out Sarah, which should swing it in his favor. Of course, this is assuming Sarah doesn't manage to just get Brad to take her to the end anyway, which I think she would've had a decent chance of pulling off anyway.

I can't fault anyone for not getting 1-2 before the trial, since there's a good chance Mondo gets away with it if he keeps his mouth shut. It depends on how much everyone would be willing to trust Byakuya after that stunt he pulled.

Yeah, that's one of the better Grass type teams you could have in Gen 1. The only way it could be better is replacing one of them with Exeggutor, since they weren't going to give her a Venusaur.
