I guess SS for Switch is still a win...but it was something I "needed" more than something I really "wanted" + Skyward Sword, as mentioned above + I liked the fakeout of announcing those Xenoblade characters for Smash out of nowhere + Monster Hunter Rise looks great (but I don't care about the series and it was already announced) + That Square Enix strategy game looks very polished and I am sure it will be good. Covid probably delayed all of Nintendo's major game development by a solid year. =/ Also disappointed in the SS showcase, as they didn't mention any additions/tweaks to the game aside from the control scheme (which is less a feature than it is a necessity). Disappointed there were no follow ups on SMT, Neo TWEWY, MH Stories 2, or Rune Factory. I can only imagine there will be another Partner Direct in the near future then. Also can't help but notice they announced multiple 2022 games but nothing for 2021 Q3-4. Guess they're waiting for E3 or something for those. I mean I know they flat out said games focusing on the first half of the year, but then they included 2022 stuff anyway, so lol. And obviously there's probably Pokemon for November to maybe be announced at the end of the month. Warp Pipes in Animal Crossing tho, oh yes. It's weird to feel disappointed by this when I already know 2021 is going to be amazing for Switch RPGs anyway.
