| Lopen 09/25/17 2:19:43 PM #17 | I had similar feelings on the characters and story early, and while it never quite clicked for me in the "this is awesome" sense, I did end up enjoying it and thought the pacing got significantly better after the first two episodes-- I basically sat having only watched two episodes forever, then once I got past four I basically watched all the rest in pretty short order. I'm not sure after three is the time to drop it. After four definitely is, though. And I feel like if after the third episode you weren't at least intrigued into watching the fourth then it probably is safe? I dunno. I'm kinda hazy on when exactly it clicked for me (to the extent it did, anyway) but I do think it was during the 4th episode. Not really a must watch in any case if you're still skeptical right now. It's a show I don't regret watching and will watch the next season of, but if you're a busy man who has a lot of things he's enjoying watching already then probably not really a big deal. --- No problem! No idea why that was so difficult to do, either-- you had the blueprint for the result-- just make it like the first Lesnar/Goldberg was but with more Strowman throwing Lesnar at, through, and over things. I still dunno why you'd have Strowman utterly destroy Lesnar last PPV if the endgame wasn't to make Strowman a big deal. Like I definitely "got worked" as they say by WWE-- I legitimately thought Strowman was going to win. Oh well. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

Er actually Balor/Bray also sucked but obviously that match had no hope. Take back everything I said about Brock winning last PPV being good booking. Strowman should've won that. Even if he won tonight, the match was just kinda really boring after the first minute or so. Dude should've won last PPV, then retained this one as Brock decided he wanted a rematch after all. Oh well. Another moment of WWE not properly striking when the iron is hot. At least I get to see Asuka's debut next month due to putting off getting this PPV till the last day. --- No problem! If they could muster several smaller phalanxes, one on each side, they'd have a much easier time here. As it stands they're not really maximizing their threat potential very well on this terrain. In fact I'd consider flipping my vote to Sora if it actually mattered-- I do think the 300 are being massively disrespected here though. They're definitely way better than generic heartless goobers Sora fights. Like if they could actually surround they'd destroy him because unlike heartless goobers these guys are skilled enough that you can't just blind block shots from all sides by swinging your giant key around, and Sora's a squishy enough foe that their weaponry issue is a non issue. That being said it's not like it's super narrow-- they can get surrounds on him, it's just not an ideal terrain for it. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

I think pun put it better than I did-- like it's not like the graphics are technically terrible or anything, it's more the graphics are meh and then how it's all put together knocks it down several notches to the point where I'd rather play games that are technically worse looking but are put together in a nice way like Soul Calibur 2. --- No problem! Like beyond the character models looking like lifeless blocky models from days of yore, this game is hit hard by a lot of things like the HUD just looking ugly. I think the newest fighter I definitely say this one looks better than would be Street Fighter EX3, which came out in 2000. That kinda had the same problems and I can't honestly claim that this game doesn't improve on that on every level. Early PS2 era is the real answer rather than late PS1, I guess, but yeah. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

If you're claiming no one would you'd be mistaken. Marvel actually does look like it could potentially have been released as an arcade game in 1994, and it would've looked fine there. If you think Marvel 2 is MUGEN you've never played MUGEN with a diverse roster in it. Like yeah the actual quality of the sprites is all over the place, but they do have a fairly consistent style to them, and the style is a good one that holds up fairly well I feel. Like you're in an era of early Virtua Fighter games, early Tekken games, and you're saying that Marvel 2 is the black sheep? Nah. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

I'd actually have a lot less issue with the game's look if it looked like a MvC2 expansion for example. Like yeah it's dated but at some time in history it would've been a good looking game (even if that time was before the game was made). There's just something about how this one is stylized and executed that's very offputting. Like even if it was an early 360 game it'd look ugly. --- No problem! Generally there are a lot of situations like that. I feel being a bit nasty when time is being wasted makes people less likely to do it in the future. There are also things where just the topic matter itself can be non PC to talk about, but if you keep beating around the bush there's no progress on that. Largely because being completely PC means you're actually completely okay with the status quo there. I think there are certain discussions where you can't convey the same meaning while being super nice about it, or where the meaning is jumbled because there's an excessive amount of concern being put on not offending anyone, but that doesn't mean you're necessarily being super venomous about it either, as you're going to lose the ability to convey your meaning there too due to pissing everyone off. There is a scale of political correctness, with either extreme distracting from the point in the end.
