So whether well regarded movies are considered to be super hero movies or not is kind of a big deal and not some mere semantic issue-- if Nolan Batman movies were not considered superhero movies they'd be not moving the needle at all in that regard. If they're considered superhero movies, yet movies that a lot of people who aren't typically into them like, they're doing the opposite and moving the needle a whole lot. Contrast with Blade, a superhero movie I'm pretty sure actually isn't considered a superhero movie, and yeah, there is a pretty big difference there. Like if Blade was some megahit I doubt it would have changed the perception of superhero movies much, because Blade is not some super well known comic book character-- very easy to just think of it as a action movie about vampires like something like Underworld. --- No problem! Like I know they used to do that with divas from time to time which is the main reason I suspect it may be the case, but his match with Lesnar was practically glacial compared to his usual, and the trend continued against Ambrose on Monday. That would really suck. I'm hoping this was just a slow spot and he goes back to running all over the place all the time until he gets blown up next match. --- No problem! This would actually be a pretty cool premise if it was acknowledged, but instead he's actually surrounded by even bigger nerds than he is. The show actually holds up a lot better than most sitcoms of that era but it's not really because of Will. Geoffrey, Carlton, and Uncle Phil get most of the credit for that. --- No problem! Not really sure why-- guess it's just Sean Bean. Michael Scott - 3 Reminds me a lot of Phil actually. Just kinda boring kinda wacky guy. Show is okay but who could possibly care about the character. Link - 3.2 Decent, albeit generic, design. That's literally all he is though-- there's no real characterization here. Kirk - 4 Original Star Trek is in this weird spot where it's sorta not sure if it wants to be super camp or whether it wants to be taken vaguely seriously from time to time, and Kirk is kinda the worst of this half-measure the show took. I don't care for it, or him. Knuckles - 6.5 I've always liked Knuckles a bit. Part badass, part stupid, all man. Gets bonus points for mercs shenanigans. Sabrina - 5 Probably my favorite Pokemon Trainer design, and design matters a lot to me, but ultimately held back by the fact that she's a Pokemon Trainer. Unless they're one of the few that was on the cartoon regularly, characterization and thus my ability to really have any attachment to her beyond the design, which itself is also limited by the fact that she's a Pokemon Trainer, is close to nil. --- No problem! | Lopen 09/29/17 1:15:30 PM #52 | Foolmo made a dumb joke about Batman Begins not being considered a super hero movie, but I actually do think Blade is that way. I'd wager most people who like that movie didn't even know there is a Blade comic book character. But yeah it's mostly just expectations going in-- like there were definitely good superhero movies in earlier eras but those were considered the exception more than the rule. Now with the MCU, later X-Men/Wolverine movies, Nolan Batman, etc, the general expectation is that superhero movies are generally good rather than bad. 2008 is probably the closest thing to the clicking year there, though I do think movies like X-Men 1/2 and Spiderman 1/2 being a string of decent movies certainly helped lay the groundwork. Personally I think Batman 1989 is the worst Batman movie aside from Batman and Robin, and that's including the 60s one-- I do think people are softer on it than they should be cause it was the first Superhero movie in forever, and because Jack Nicholson has a sort of notoriety where people tend to default to thinking his movies/performances are good, even if he kinda butchered The Joker (not as badly as Clooney butchered Batman though). I actually like Batman Returns though, so if I didn't hate Nicholson Joker so much I probably wouldn't mind 1989 either since the style of the movies is pretty similar (Forever is really when they got super wacky). But I don't think people generally hold Returns in the same regard, which is why I say I think people tend to go easy on 1989. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

I do like the costume for Azura over her normal one and my Azura has a bad -SPD nature. And of course being OP doesn't hurt. Olivia looks better too though I'm not sold on that dagger being particularly good for her-- feel like the dagger would be better on a non-dancer. I think a Felicia with that + Breath of Life 3 + Breath of Life 1 seal would be pretty cool-- could actually let her be a passable healer like she's supposed to be able to. Dancers should've been stuck with generic tier weapons (like the other ones on the banner got) for a balancing measure imo.
