Which movie did you like better?

Saw both movies and i thought logan was a heck of a lot better. Didn't really like wonder woman. I read that wonder woman might be nominated for some academy awards and stuff. It's a shame if logan isn't as well.

Logan was a terrible movie. It was like watching a non-stop wild goose chase-Scooby Doo sequence for two hours. We have 77-year old Patrick Stewart ridiculed and reduced to be confined to a wheelchair.

The acting by the little girl was impressive but, she didn't actually have any dialogue and got around by beating the crap out of other people just for the sake of being the crap out of other people.

I wouldn't mind this at all if the old guy in the wheelchair did something but, he didn't.

I rather watch a Magic School Bus movie than watch a single comic book movie ever again for the rest of my life. Jesus Christ.

And you people are the same people that do nothing but, watch episodes of Survivor 24/7. Ugh. You people are so predictable.

Wonder Woman is an excellent superhero movie

But Logan is just an extraordinary movie, period. Like if it doesn't get at least some acting nominations it'll feel like a legitimate snub

As for me, I thought they were equally enjoyable. Neither of them really spoke to me outside of a superficial entertainment level (unlike, say, the Dark Knight trilogy). Everyone says the acting is so phenomenally good in Logan, but I really didn't feel like it brought anything particularly impressive to the table.

This.

Logan gets points for being so different (in a good way) than what I expected a superhero movie to be.

Well he said movie and in fairness no other DC or Marvel live action movie is anything like Logan really. None I can think of anyways and I've seen almost all of them. It had a really unique feel to it with the tone where a lot of the others are your standard origin story movie or action packed sorta by the books sequel

Logan wasn't a superhero movie and it's unfortunate that people expecting it to be were disappointed. It's much closer to a western, and gives some very obvious homages to the movie Shane, including even having it on a TV at one point.

Logan was a better film, full stop, but I can see why some people like WW more.

I didn't really care for Logan. Wasn't bad or anything, just nothing special. Maybe part of the problem is that I never once in 17 years cared for Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine, so a movie that was all about saying farewell to the character did nothing for me.

Oh definitely Logan, and WW was indeed very good.

Regarding Academy Awards, Logan is getting a push and was actually the first film sent to academy members for consideration. I think as it is a weak field this year, Jackman has a shot at Best Actor for sure, as well as Stewart for Supporting.

I don't know about Wonder Woman other than technical awards. Dunkirk is going to eat up the WB blockbuster hype for Picture and Director.

I liked Logan a lot and, while I liked the acting, I wouldn't say it was extraordinary. It was probably a better movie all around. It definitely had much better pacing.

But I loved Wonder Woman and I thought it was a shining example of what a superhero movie should be. Thinking back on the No Man's Land scene still gives me shivers. I can't really say that for Logan's scenes, as good as the whole movie was.

See like for me it was the opposite. I was never a diehard Wolverine fan but I've always been a big X-Men fan, making sure to see everyone movie in theaters, etc.

So when I saw Logan it just suddenly hit me that something that had been a big part of my life for 17 years was suddenly ending. Felt like I had just been punched in the gut

I watched the "How It Should Have Ended" of Logan and literally cried

No Man's Land is all style. It looks pretty cool, but people realize the male equivalent would be Superman facing an ordinary human army and being in no danger whatsoever right? It's a nice scene, but once you remember Wonder Woman could solo them all without so much as a scratch it kinda takes away from the badass moment it was supposed to be.

I'm not a huge fan of Wolverine or Wonder Woman, they always seem more interesting when around other heroes. I've never cared to read their solo stuff. That said, I think Logan was a better movie. Wonder Woman was surprisingly good, and I'm glad they got some of their shit together (getting a director that actually fucking cares about the character was a good start).

It's kind of hard to compare the two though since one is a finale while the other is an origin story. We've had practically our whole life with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. Seeing it end is sad. Whereas Gal Gadot's (surprisingly good portrayal of) Wonder Woman is just the start, and we get to look forward to more of her. Technically a happy feeling. So really it just depends on whether you prefer to be sad or happy.

I prefer sad. And I love X-23 as well, she kicked ass in Logan. So that's the better movie.

Not really. Superman is bulletproof, kryptonite aside it's literally impossible to shoot him. Wonder Woman isn't bulletproof. Her bracers and shield are, but if she failed to block then the bullets could hurt her.

The male version would be more like Captain America doing the same thing, which he pretty much did in his first movie and that was awesome too.
