It would have been in the vein of homecoming and ffh. A singular villain, something to do with stark etc.

Feel like they could have brought in rhino.

I hear it had an extremely low budget and they only had a year or so to rush it out for phase 4, so that's a big reason too.

Look at arcane. Riot money plus 6 years does wonders to quality.

They had initially pitched Kraven the hunter, but realized they need to go big for this. It wouldn't have been as acclaimed otherwise.

Andrew is the best, if Avi Arad had not fucked those films over they would be so much better.

I think a lot of people were not watching this film for Tom, they wanted to see Tobey, Andrew and their villains. Green Goblin was amazing.

It really strikes me how much this movie owes to the amazing spider man and raimi films.

All the heroes and villains were developed there so this film didn't need to waste time on that at all. If this was just a big standard spider man story like the director originally pitched, it wouldn't be as acclaimed.

Tobey was fun to see but he's a more serious/dramatic spider-man.

Andrew slid into this role very easily, he's good with quips.

This had actual spidermen so this was better than the last 2.
