I quit my last job when covid started. I didn't feel safe and the job wasn't worth it

Last I checked, if there is a tornado warning, you stay put and hide in a building, not try to run.

You're not supposed to take shelter in large open rooms inside a building. A warehouse is exactly that.

Yeah standard tornado safety procedure is to stay in the building you're in. The people who don't live in tornado alley are extremely obvious. As far as I can tell they hid in bathrooms.

It would be Amazon's fault cause they let him leave. If you actually live in areas with tornados, you get inside. Never ever stay outside if possible, and never try to outrun a tornado.

Well I've never experienced a tornado. But this guy seemed to want to leave. And I'm bowing to his experience. He felt he needed to leave, but was stopped. If he felt he needed to leave he should have left. Maybe he could have outrun the tornado in a car

Last I checked, you dont get much of a forwarning of a tornado more than 10+ minutes. And that is not enough time to drive away. It is insanely dangerous to try to outrun a tornado.

For example, did Amazon advise them to stay or literally force them to remain in the building, Where was the tornado during all this time? And as people have been saying, running during a tornado is a bad idea and Amazon may have been legally at fault or at least blamed anyway if their employees ran and were killed or injured.

The text says 8:22 and the tornado touched down at 8:35, so it's safe to say they were under warning at the time and nobody should go outside.

A warning means there is a cell or cluster of cells capable of producing tornadoes moving in. In my area it'll be a 20-30 minute warning if such a cell is coming.

As far as I can tell, its 10 minutes or so, unlike hurricanes that form out in the ocean and takes time to arrive, tornados tend to just form and it is very hard if not impossible to predict and we hide.
