In-character it makes sense. He teleported a lot using the warp powder in Radiant Dawn. As far as game balance go, it's not like people aren't putting Wings of Mercy on everyone anyway. Still pretty funny though.

Thanks! I actually had an Eirika before but she was -Atk while this one is +Atk. Considering how naturally low her Atk stat is, that's a pretty big dealbreaker. So far the only unit I have that got IV screwed is Alm. -Spd works really badly with Windsweep.

P.S. I also got three Sheenas in a row, one of them being *5. That was...interesting. Already have a *5 though.

P.S.S. More information about Black Knight was found. Black Luna has a 3 turn cooldown. He also has Wings of Mercy.

I got what appears to be a +Def, - HP Elincia (assuming posters on the FEH board provided the correct stats for theirs) after 93 orbs. I'm pretty happy with that.

My Elincia has pure neutral IVs. That's basically never happened to me.

3 extra speed and extra bulk matters a lot. Put Desperation on Burger King and he'll essentially function like a Hector who can double people when initiating attack.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most of your complaints won't matter nearly as much to the casual Metroid fan who doesn't speedrun or play fangames. I'm not getting it regardless so I have no stake, it's just interesting to see this topic when literally everywhere else I've seen very positive impressions.

Elincia's not so bad. It's not so much that she's completely outclasses other units like her - hard-hitting Brave users are not hard to make. It's more that she comes equipped with the tools necessary to perform strongly, while others need inheritance.

Black Knight however is completely busted.

Even if you turn off attack animations, the 'attack face' is what shows up in face portraits when clicking on characters in the field.

I like Ursula's art a lot but I also don't care about the original character in that instance so I didn't have predetermined wishes for what she should look like. On that note I don't think Elincia's art would be poor quality if she was an original character - as Elincia it looks bad though.

Beat Robin Infernal. Almost all of the online guides were useless to me because they all use Brave Lyn, and while I have one she's -Atk and can't follow the specific actions they want. Managed to modify one guide where a dude used two dancers + Setsuna (Brave Bow and Savage Blow) to wreck everyone. Went with two dancers + Felicia + Tharja and managed to eke out a win. Might make an extra guide for people without a suitable Brave Lyn...you essentially need two dancers, strong colorless, and strong red mage, with I think most people should have by now.

And yeah trdl is right - cop culture is fucked up. I think it's bad (obviously) that cops can be so trigger happy, but the core of the problem is that they will never be punished for anything they do. There can be video/audio evidence and it's still not enough.

It's also not even close to the worst system in law! The judicial system hates minorities way more, and both systems combined are about half as bad as the good ole' for-profit prison system.

Hillary is very uncharasmatic and is bad at presenting herself as a desirable canditate. Decades of media demonization doesn't help.

With that said, her loss in the election also included:
1. Massive amounts of interference from a foreign country
2. The FBI re-opening a past issue days before the election
3. Hillary winning the popular vote by 3 million but losing anyway

I don't think people really comprehend the incredible amount of BS that led to the election results. Blaming Hillary is the easy out because she's uncharasmatic and hard to like but there's way, way bigger factors going on here than her being a bad canditate.

Also the demonization of her in a topic that is mostly liberal shows how bad she gets it anyway, so I tend to cut her some slack even if I don't care for her. People tend to go out of their way to make her look bad.

I don't have the resources for a horse/flier/armor/whatever team. Even if I did, I'd probably avoid using it. It simplifies the game way too much. There's guys that come up with strategies to beat all the challenges using only units gotten without summoning and without skill inheritance - I'm not crazy enough to go that far but stuff like that is way more interesting than stacking a million buffs.

Peace Walker is definitely when Big Boss finished his transformation from 'hero' to 'villain'.

I haven't played MGS5 but I've watched a lot of the material and have heard the specifics from others. The whole 'anyone can be Big Boss' thing is a continuation of the series' nurture-over-nature theme (Solid Snake overcoming his RECESSIVE GENES disadvantage against Liquid, Raiden being molded into a supersoldier through life experieces) but it seems poorly thought-out and hamfisted compared to the other examples. It's one of the reasons I don't really feel the need to play it!

Well, that and no David Hayter. That was a dumb change.

Desperation is a key move on my anti-mage (and most dagger/bow users) Felicia build I've got going on, where she baits in an attack, takes enough damage to proc Desperation next turn, where she attacks twice to immediately activate Glacies. It counters & nukes pretty much any ranged unit with the exception of Robin and a Reinhardt that's been buffed out the ass by allies.

Side note - is anyone else fighting lots of arena units that are way stronger than yours? It's a bit annoying when your entire team is mergeless and you're fighting +7 Brave Lyns.

Factoring out bonus hours, Ike has 58.01% on Camilla while Lyn got 62.81%. While Ike wouldn't beat Lyn without bonus hour shenanigans, he might have been able to keep it respectable. It seems like Lyn and Lucina are the top two in terms of popularity followed by Ike. I'm not convinced Tharja got a fair shot at Camilla but Ike is winning by enough that I would still pick him over Tharja. Camilla did better on Lyn than Hector did on Ike so things don't look great for male characters below Ike. Maybe Hector would have had a better showing without Lyn also in the tournament. I wouldn't mind seeing Female Corrin, Tharja or Camilla vs Hector in the future to see how that goes.

I don't think that Camilla/Ike and Camilla/Lyn are quite transitive. Camilla and Lyn appeal to different people. I'll call it Waifu overlap. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some degree of SFF there - I'd take Lyn to be the favorite over Ike, but it would be competitive.
