As far as blue lances go - I'm a bit biased but I feel like Donnel has been consistently undervalued in the tiers. He has a fantastic stat spread (as well as a higher base stat total than any other non-dragon infantry in the game). Also agree that Effie is overrated. She should not be on the same tier as Hector.

Rolled for new pegasus girl, got Celica (-HP +Atk)! Even better, though she promptly ate two of her comrades. One Odin from the Moonbow Slaughterhouse, and my Lissa who carried me through early game but was forgotten after Bridal Lyn. At least poor Lissa's in a better place now.

Innes actually. The dude can hit 55 or more speed on my team. Desperation mages are a joke. Attack bane kinda sucks, but he gets the job done.

Donnell is pretty decent actually. He's very similar to Ephraim but doesn't have the same utility due to the lack of legendary weapon.

Donnel is definitely underappreciated. I made great use of him in the last TT and I don't feel so bad accidentally upgrading him to 5*. He's part of my leading team in AA, but I haven't quite figured out what C skill to give him other than Threaten Def.

This is my starting AA team:

Nowi
Julia
Gray
Donnel

All are 5* and fully decked out, except Donnel. I once got better than rank 10k and was using a different team back then, but I haven't figured out why I'm consistently doing mediocre. Yes, losing two units in the fights had an effect, but I'm not sure if that was significant enough to keep me from the next tier. I know Nowi and Donnnel are worth quite a bit, so it's quite puzzling to me why they made it so much harder to rank high in AA vs. Arena.

Yeah I don't really get why Neph is so low but yeah OHKO meta is pretty much a thing.

I was playing on my (girl)friend's account and Brave Ike seemed pretty beastly too. So the tier lists seems kind of like...really wishy washy, but I presumed Neph would just be placed high with iirc really solid overall stats and unique stuff exclusive to only her right now

How many points are you getting per battle? Also, losing units is a fairly significant blow to your score especially if you are in a point range where there are a lot of players bunched up together.

with Hector, Nowi, Brave Ike and Lucina lead i was barely able to rank in the top 10k with only 1 death and my team was surely worth quite a bit more than that. you'd have to use a high point team like that with multiple aethers and no horses/ranged units (or some merges) to be able to take even 1 death and rank top 10k. more likely you're going to want to go deathless.

Free pull was a 4* Sophia. I got 4 reds and 1 colorless so I pulled the reds on a whim. The final red was a 5* Tharja!

+Spd.... -Att. But she's a bladetome so -Att doesn't hurt as bad as -Spd.

But hey, first Tharja I ever had!

nice, that's the same as my Tharja. -atk hasn't ever really hurt her except when she was still 4*.

i got a Palla, which is only the second one i've ever pulled. i'll wait and see if i can get Elincia before i decide how to allocate my goads.

Titania was too btw, though getting two 4* base greens isn't the easiest thing to do in a timely manner so not a bad thing to draw for at least one of em when they're both featured-- whaling for the other though probably not advised.

Yeah, if he's a natural 4 I'll just be smart about it. I just assumed he was locked behind 5 because so many characters are. Got a +Atk Titania so that's pretty slick too.

I haven't paid that much attention to the score per battle, but will take note for this season and try my best not to have casualties.

I also called the bonus characters. There's no way IS wouldn't make the new units 40% to make people spend money.

If you guys had the orbs to spend, would you go for Ike to get the 40% bonus, or would you go for Elincia? I'm trying to beat the remaining CC's that i can, but I won't even have 60 orbs accumulated. I still want to try to get a 40% bonus character, though.

Go for Elincia. You have a better chance with three focus units and she's by far the best red flier. Ike has more competition as an infantry sword, and you have Ryoma anyway

i mean personally, it's not just that it doesn't fit her, i don't like that artist at all. Linde looks almost as bad to me, and while Ninian looks okay, she could certainly look a lot better with a different artist. i wouldn't want to see anyone drawn by them.

Yeah Elincia (especially by Radiant Dawn) is supposed to be regal and mature. The art makes her look like...I think the term someone used was 'moeblob' and it fits. Her voice is pretty much spot-on though.

Hmm.. if i use Valter, I won't have a mage in my Arena team, and he's not 5*, so he won't be very useful against Horse Emblem. It's hard to remove Ninian, Ryoma, or Hector from my team.

I don't find dancers to be useful enough on my arena team when I'm bringing along a 4*. You're basically down two combat ready units. I think you should have at least one ranged character so why not Brave Lyn instead of Ninian.

I got my perfect arena run over with Brave Ike, Brave Lucina, Brave Lyn and Elincia without much trouble. Lyn helps a lot.

I like to bring the dancer because she doubles as a buffer. +4 Atk and +2 Res helps a lot. I'll try excluding her and see how that goes. If Rein proves to be a problem, i'll need to switch Hector with Ike.

Uggh, thought a merged Olivia would be useful, but I keep running into nothing but Horse Emblem if I bring her along. Granted I'm using BowLyn myself... Guess I'll switch her back out for Gray(or Ike once I get him levled to 40)

Barrel what tier are you out of curiosity? I honestly kinda don't religiously do Arena (it's actually getting more fun for me now, but before it was like...whatever [my 160 arena seal things attests to this]) but I pretty easily ranked up from 11->14.

Granted I used the easy mode thing, but there was only one team that actually was tough and it was a B!Lyn+1 and I misplayed poorly. I kinda feel like Ryoma/Hector/Valter/Ninian is probably good enough. Hector's a fine enough counter, where I'm at, to Reinhardt.

I mean if you're higher than my tier then it may or may not actually apply, I don't even really get how the tier/"ranks" works. But I more or less steamrolled all the Advanced teams.
