By the way I can super confirm that killing Drednaw before Zapdos spawns gives a huge debuff. We were all 5 at Zapdos, high leveled, full force blasting it, and it barely took any damage. We had to wipe the enemy team for the second time in 30 seconds or we would've lost.

If you kill Dreadnaw, you get an invisible 90 second debuff that reduces the damage you do on Zapdos by 55%. This means you do 45% damage to Zapdos for 90 seconds. A 2:30 Dreadnaw kill means your team won't be dealing full damage on Zapdos until 1:00.

Funny enough, I tested several different Pokemon and Blissey appears to be unaffected by this bug/undocumented interaction.

Well like I said, we can't actually tell. I'm just going off of LoL knowledge where highly sought-after picks had bad win rates all the time.

This game is a lot simpler to figure out than LoL though, so I trust player perception more. Which is why Lucario not being nerfed is kind of surprising. Either he's not quite as strong as assumed, or the devs don't want to shake things up too much in one patch.

Lucario might be one of those cases where he feels difficult to fight but his win rate numbers aren't particularly good. That happens a lot in Mobas. We'll never know for sure though.

Snorlax nerfs are pretty important. So is the nerf to Greninja's Smokescreen. Not sure why they nerfed Slowbro though, he was hardly oppressive.

Gets very tanky in the late game. Sing is very good CC, and pro teams adore CC. She's not going to be quite as strong in solo queue (a.k.a. going it alone) but she's way better than when the game came out.

A Greninja that knows how to Surf reset chain can steamroll a team. He's also incredibly hard to pin down because of Smokescreen. But keep in mind that that list is the Top 100 players - other people (including everyone in this topic) aren't going to be as consistent.

The legitimate knock against HW is that its villains were incredibly weak.

Thordan and Nidhogg are just...boring. Knock Zenos all you want, but at least he has character.

They worked well as forces of nature, Nidhogg especially. The whole conceit of the Dragonsong War was that the conflict had escalated beyond the point of reason. It was self-perpetuating and fed into itself. Sometimes the best stories are told by pitting your cast against forces that act as constants. Nidhogg worked better as wrathful vengeance incarnate than he would have as a more nuanced character.

FF14 has two major advantages in the toxicity department:

1. Story is inherently wholesome even in its darkness
2. The mechanics of the game don't punish players for failure

I read some WoW mechanics and, yeah, I would probably be toxic too if I'd been tricked into playing that for years.

FF14 kind of cheats because it's less of a single Final Fantasy game and more of its own sub-series. Gives you a lot of extra time to get attached to the world and characters. With that said, yes, best story in the series.

I don't really think I'm a comic nerd at all, I know next to nothing that isn't in the movies. I just think the Harley character is kinda thin to basically be the center of three movies. Like somebody said, she's basically a meme machine instead of having actual depth, which was great at first but it's kinda wearing thin on me now.

I get why she has broad appeal, I'm just personally kinda over it.

Margot Robbie's Harley has an insane amount of broad appeal. Just not among hardcore nerds. When James Gunn asked if there was anything he needed to include from the original Studio Squad, the studio said that Margot Robbie was the one thing they'd want to see come back. She's one of the most popular comic book characters among casuals right now.

The weirdest part about ranking up is that it's suboptimal for the extra points bar to fill up all the way. Ideally you want it hovering around 300~ so you can tank a bad losing streak

Id Purpose retiring has temporarily brought me out of hibernation

Legitimately one of the most impressive records in contest history. As memeable as making it to like five retirement matches and losing by 1-3 votes every time is, that means that not only was it strong enough to reach a retirement round numerous times, it's strength never faded. I'm of the opinion that a song's greatest chance of reaching retirement is in the first or second year it gets into a contest. After that, people tend to get tired of it. Id Purpose kept its support base for, what, eight years? It deserves to have finally sealed the deal.

(It's also one of the least-transitive entrants I've seen. It basically *only* has close matches, even in the early rounds.)

I doubt it wins the contest, but Top 8 is awesome. Nice to see that it didn't immediately bow out after clinching retirement.

Full aggro Charizard is the most fun build I've played so far. Fire Punch, Flare Blitz, and X Attack as your item. I've never felt as impactful in teamfights.

NEO: The World Ends With You takes 1st with a combined 28K but the original game sold 84K its 1st week on DS so in comparison you could say it flopped hard

Overall, sales for video games in Japan have gone down significantly over the last 15 years. Outside of the big guns like Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter, games across the board are selling like ass. This is about what I would've expected from a sequel to an obscure JRPG.
