the real problem was Trump. Before Covid and during Covid, he downplayed the fuck out of Covid thus encouraging antivaxxers to avoid Covid shots/spreading misinformation
ultimately its because of trump being trump is the main reason why Covid spread so much.

there was a lot of things that could of prevented the spread, sure.
however when you have a president (at the time) who did what he could do to thwart any attempt minimize the spread of a disease only exacerbated the whole Covid fiasco . Weeks turned to months, months to to a whole year, families were torn, businesses ruined because of the poor decision making from the former president.

I honestly don't think American's would have responded to quarantines and lockdowns all that much better if Trump wasn't there.
