Lost Prayer is pretty good if she ever gets a catalyst DPS. Any 5* with crit sub is typically good.

And trust me, after you play for a few months and get a decent selection of 5* characters to choose from, you will be begging to get 5* weapons from the standard banner. The only source of them is through weapon banner and standard banner, neither of which are worth spending gems on as a F2P compared to the character banners. I've been playing since 2.1 and I have two 5* weapons.

Yeah Sarah needs C2 to be usable (and C6 to be great in electro teams) but even though I have C2 and am an Electro main, I don't really have a team for her (bad Raiden hypercarry I guess). 6 seconds is just just an awkward amount of time for the buff, it's enough to boost her burst and another (two if you're fancy) and that's it.

Maybe she'd be good with Tighnari, buff and burst with her and boost Tighnari's shotgun arrows, fire a manual arrow to buff Fischl and snapshot attack boost for Oz? Or Yae's burst, if you have her (but then, I'd just run Fischl + Yae). Hmm.

Also 3 bows lol, get Diona in there for heals and shields and oops all bows!

Raiden/Ayato banner 4 stars: Rosaria/Sara/Sayu

Not pulling but reminds me I still don't have Rosaria lol

Raiden Shogun/Ayato is the next banner, after the current Wanderer/Itto one ends in a week or two. There's two sets of banners per patch.

Yelan is very tempting and would be a great upgrade for my Cyno team, but I must stay strong for Dehya and Baizhu (if he's even real).

Ah well, I've only played Xiao in trials but I think they're gonna feel very different in combat. Wanderer doesn't even have a plunge attack in flight mode lol. He's like a hover turret with air dodges.

What does Xiao have, a high jump? I know Venti also has that updraft lift. But you can kinda get weaker version of those with that wind gadget.

Wanderer can float up or horizontally over gaps and stuff, so he does both.

Yeah if you're not trying to full clear Abyss Floor 12 (which is a pain) you can pull pretty much whatever you want. Though honestly with that roster, between Tartaglia + national 4 stars and Ganyu + Mona, you are pretty much covered anyways. If you're satisfied with your main DPS options I would advise looking out for the busted supports as they are good QoL no matter for meta or in overworld and can easily fit onto many teams. Zhongli for shield, Kazuha for swirl and crowd control, Nahida for Dendro and EM, Kokomi for heals, Raiden for energy and burst damage. Yelan for overworld dash speed and Hydro support too but between Tartaglia/Xingqiu/Mona you might be good. A lot of these characters had reruns recently but they'll all cycle back in eventually.

Those are just like, the "can't go wrong" options though. You really can just pull for whatever character you like.

Nah, brand new ability. Closest is Kazuha who has a "double jump" boost when gliding.

DPS Yanfei is perfectly functional at C0, though C1 and C2 are some good QOL. I used her for a while and she's fun, but she really wants Xingqiu and probably Bennet and so has to compete with every other pyro DPS, if there's one you like more.

I would not pull for these 4 stars unless you want Wanderer/Itto. "Don't pull unless you're ok with the specific 5 star" is the golden rule of Genshin. The next banner is allegedly Raiden Shogun and Ayato, next patch is Al-Haitham (a dendro dps), so I would save for those if interested.

Yeah the purple and gold gemstones are exceedingly rare. The 80 ascension needs more gemstones than you get for the amount of times you need to kill the boss for the drop.

But because you get gem shards from dailies and weekly bosses, you'll end up with a stockpile over time. Major events every patch also tend to give out a bunch. But trying to quickly ascend guys can be a pain (especially for Dendro shards).

Doing the 3 weekly bosses with the discount is also more efficient in terms of resin than killing bosses btw, so keep up with those.

Only certain types of characters really benefit from going to 90. Yae Miko will appreciate it, since she benefits from Dendro reactions which like level 90, as do any anemo characters who like to use Swirl. But you can prioritize other things first. Most other damage dealers are fine with stopping at 80, and many supports that aren't themselves contributing damage can stop at 60 or 70.

Upgrading weapons is much easier so you can go to 90, but if you're low on exp crystals just prioritize the DPS character weapons and supports can be stopped at 80. Leveling from 80-90 eats a lot of crystals.

I'm having issues placing stuff in my teapot. I'm only trust level 2 but it says I can place 2 companions but when I go to place the second one it says I have reached my furnishing limit. It clearly says companion 1/2 and in the types thing at the top it says 24/200.

It does this with some of the game things too but I figured that may be a limit I can't see but with companion I'm stumped as I'm clearly below the limit it says

You might be hitting the load limit. There's an indicator that turns green/yellow/red as you place more complicated items. And then you can't place any more. So if you're trying to place them somewhere that already has a lot of furnishings placed it might be too much stuff.

Yeah if you walk over to Sumeru you can switch your Traveler to Dendro and he's a pretty decent support for now. There's also the free Collei from Abyss if you're using him elsewhere, but Traveler will definitely be better since it's easier to get his constellations. We should be getting another 4 star dendro soonish, not in this upcoming patch but maybe 3.4 or 3.5. But yeah the drip is MIA so who knows.

Yae's good, she (and every electro character) got a pretty large buff recently with the new Dendro element that boosts their damage significantly.

If you got stardust/starglitter from the pulls you did you should be able to buy some from the shop which will get you closer. There's 5 in the dust shop each month, and then however much glitter you have can be exchanged. Unfortunately there's no events active right now. There's Spiral Abyss but that's only like 2 or 3 pulls depending on how built your team is.

I know Raiden is good with her, people have been pretty big on Layla as her cryo buddy too. Her shield is apparently pretty good, although I don't know how bad she needs cons. You lose Diona's healing but maybe Layla + Kuki is good?

Well, National is pretty much one team too, it's just the flex spot is the 5-star carry so she shows up as a recommended sub-dps for pretty much everyone lol. But the same is true for Xingqiu and Bennet, they're all busted support units everyone can get. It's support impact.

Well it might be because Hu Tao hasn't had a rerun in over a year and people are talking about her more. Also, her and Xiangling go in very similar teams and get talked about a pretty similar amount considering if you don't use one you're probably using the other. They both get used about as twice as much as Ganyu and Ayaka.

The characters who dominate meta talk in this game are the busted supports, so I don't think Scaramouche is going to apply.

I guess the exception is Hu Tao but even the obsession with her has died down since a year ago now that there's plenty of respectable DPS options (and also the real meta is that Yelan carries her best team. busted supports.)

But you REALLY shouldn't hope he's terrible if you don't want to hear about him because his stans will never shut up about him. Just hope he is low-key great but not insane, like Itto.

Those cactus flowers also suck (why are they all so high up?) but Nahida's utility passive is a godsend. I've got plenty for Candace but I've been snapping them up when I see them just in case.

Mihoyo please don't give Dehya the beetles too. I don't know if I'm strong enough.

I think I liked the heist episode a little more overall (I am a sucker for heists) but the two speeches in this episode are among the best moments of the series. Either way it's an easy top 2.

Got enough boss mats for Wanderer, but eff these damn mushrooms.

Remember you can buy 5 from an NPC in the forest village and 5 from an Aranara vendor once every 3 days. That plus clearing out a farm spot every so often shouldn't be too bad.

Meanwhile my lazy ass still needs to get the last 60 scarabs I need for Cyno. I easily got Nahida to 90 within a week of getting her while it's taken me an entire patch for him.

Yeah the way the Empire has been fleshed out is one of the show's greatest strengths. They are pure, bureaucratic evil who are all very boring and normal individually but their interactions are fascinating to watch. You get the petty politicking and the disastrous consequences too. This lets the Empire feel threatening whether it's being competent or not - we got some Stormtroopers this episode and even though they were incompetent as hell it was a big fucking problem! You don't get too much of that in other Star Wars stuff.

Also yeah I think this is still my favorite scene. Couldn't believe they just straight up put a monologue about the real politics of how police corruption functions in a Disney show lmao. Plus watching Karn's arc of the law-abiding non-corrupt cop to almost immediately going mad with power trying solve the case was a great time

Most of it is very vague, it's like a rough schedule of characters until ~3.6 and some kit information as well. A lot of it is placeholder stuff, and there's some characters past that that is even sketchier. But it's still a huge amount of leaks.

Hopefully this isn't a spoiler question, but is Echoes of the Eye already embedded in my Outer Wilds file? Or is it another mode I click from the menu? Is it clear if I'm playing Echoes of the Eye or not?

It is already in the game if you have it installed, although it requires some steps to access and is largely self contained - it doesn't change much base content. Essentially (very minor structural spoilers) they add a new very large area to explore with its own unique mechanics. So it is not going to be immediately obvious to a new player what the DLC entails, but knowing that you can probably easily guess when you find it.

I would honestly recommend completing the base game before attempting the DLC.

I mean the writer on this show was a writer on Rogue One. At the very base structural level, they are both trying to deal with the ground-level political situations of the Star Wars universe. The big difference to me here is the storytelling is so decompressed and you actually get time to sit with these characters instead of rushing from scene to scene. Rogue One is three acts of setup, bridge, payoff and this show is very happy to just languish in setup before moving to payoff. And then doing even more setup. I definitely think the buildup to 6 was totally worth it.

That and the moment-to-moment writing is straight up just better and harder hitting than R1. Most of the show is people sitting around talking to each other about the banality of evil and it's good.

This show is really good and I'm someone who thought Rogue One sucked except for the last act.

This is basically that concept executed well at all times. It barely even feels like a Star Wars story, but in a good way.

I like the Tokimori video more but this is about on the same level. The self-interview segment is a little plodding but it really serves its purpose on connecting others' nostalgia to your own while reflecting on the other themes in the game.

Also following that long speech on mortality with that fucking shirt ad is a CRIMINAL level of mood whiplash. Incredible dark humor.

Unsighted rocks, I played it at the start of the year and had a total blast. I could not BELIEVE no one was talking about it and made a long (but not this long lol) post on it here. So glad to see other people talking it up. Criminally overlooked sad lesbian robot game.

You can warp out but it'll reset your quest progress to the start of the current quest if you're in the middle of one.

Yeah Demon's Souls is hard to go back to, it was great for its time and foundational to Dark Souls but has aged pretty badly. I also think the remake is uh. Worse. I'm biased because the original is burned into my brain, and the remake is better on every technical aspect, but I dunno. Simple explanation is that DeS's relevance is mostly as a piece of video game history, and the remake is just...not the actual history! And while visually it's pretty gorgeous and I tried to keep an open mind, there's still a bunch of aesthetic decisions in the remake that bug me. It could just be my familiarity but Tower of Latria just looks less scary now.

Basically no matter what you do with DeS you have to take it with a huge grain of salt. If you're interested in it, it might be best to play it now rather than later, but it's up to you.

Yeah I was nonplussed by the first part of the Archon Quest but Part 2 is a real high point for the game's writing.

Make sure to set aside a dedicated block of time for it though, it's kind of annoying if you have to leave in the middle of a quest.

This is correct, when people blast AC for this it's not because of the audience reaction or whatever, it's because the executives don't want a female protagonist and the developers are doing things like having to include options and go "well technically the woman is canon" and shit like that. We've got it on record. That's just how the game is getting made.

Since Ubisoft cannot get their shit together about female protagonists, all future Assassins should simply be made nonbinary. Thembofication is the solution.
