I have so many rejected TF pieces from Cyno and Fischl (who is now on GT anyways) that even if I get Clorinde I think I'll be fine lol

I think it's for certain melt teams (that use dendro for burning = more pyro to melt) but just you wait until they make Burning meta in Natlan somehow.

And idk, I have a decent 4pc Gladiator for Arlecchino but I don't mind dumping resin into this domain even if it's inefficient. Part of that is I'm tired of farming MH/GT (which I've been doing, didn't even touch Navia's domain), but I don't really feel like I have much else to dump resin into these days. It's this, the Emblem mines, or farming Nymph for Childe which is just as bad.

Having an anemo available is good, but I freely admit that I don't exploit VV the way "good" players do and I wouldn't have a clue where to start with performing a double swirl. Still, just using classic Sucrose taser is a viable team in many cases, and even minor grouping is helpful.

It's easiest in aoe because you can just apply hydro to one enemy and pyro to another and swirl the group. But on single target it's finnicky and team dependent. Having a second pyro helps, that's part of why Bennett is so good. On certain comps if you apply a lot of hydro then pyro, there's a second where hydro are still on the enemy to swirl then you can do pyro. That's what I do for Childe (his E then Benny Q). I think Yelan EQ -> Benny Q might also do this? For Sucrose and Xianyun they can also swirl with autos so what I think people do is have Bennett apply pyro, swirl that, and then Yelan/XQ followups will apply hydro to swirl. You can also swirl off Gyoba when he's breathing fire, lol.

I'm pretty sure most pyro main DPS need a second pyro if they want to swirl both, like Hu Tao and Diluc can't apply pyro and switch without losing infusion. Arle I think retains her infusion when switching but hell if I know how to play her yet

It's also not the end of the world if you only swirl one tbh

Im working on it. Its sad my B team can easily 9* Floor 11, but struggle to DPS fast enough for floor 12. Nahida/Diona/Xing/Yoimiya just not powerful enough floor 12 time limits.

If you take this team and replace Nahida/Diona with Bennett and an Anemo (Kazuha, Sucrose, or even Xianyun/Jean should work), I think that's a really solid Abyss team for bosses. Assuming Xing is Xingqiu. Or swap Yelan to Yoi's team if the Noelle/Furina one is still way stronger.

I also agree that settling for aiming for 33 stars is a good goal. Hell I don't even 36 star Abyss all the time, I only got 35 these past two cycles because the current enemy lineup is really annoying

Yeah I plan on running her with XQ or Yelan (or both?) on one side and still have Furina for the other.

Honestly Furina is kinda cracked at C0 even if you don't max out the fanfare, I'm sure they'll work well enough together. The fanfare boost from C1 probably offsets the loss you get from missing Arle's healing, so you'll still be doing better than most.

Yeah I think it might have shown up on the map for me after completing that first quest? I started going the wrong way at first, along the path that continues the questline, before I stared at the map a bit more and realized I had walked right past the staircase.

The good news is you don't have to do much to get to the new boss, just the very first quest that unlocks the underground area and then you can walk right over from the entrance.

Well Gaming has a simple design because his animations are among the best in the game. Maybe they cooked again.

Lyney is one of those rare characters that just doesn't click at all for me. His character is just ok. And his gameplay...every time I play him in a trial or combat event I have no idea if I'm getting his explosives fully buffed or not. But I don't care much for Bow main DPS in the first place, besides Childe who doesn't count and Tighnari who is actually a shotgun.

Arle though, can't come soon enough. I wish I could go for her weapon but realistically I should save for Clorinde, especially if she's got that new 4* on her banner. He might be cool.

I'm down to like 100 wishes worth of primos and 100 in starlight. So I'd be cutting it close. I splurged a lot on Xianyun banner going for Faruzan cons and only got to C4. Got C6 Gaming though and honestly that has turned out to be a great investment because he is fun as hell and pretty strong.

I was thinking about fishing for Gorou cons but Dori and Yun Jin no thanks. I don't think I have enough primos banked to get both Hunter's Path on the new banner and Arle unless I luck out on a 50/50. Wake me up in 4.6 I guess

I've also seen people use Diona with Dendro teams because her C6 gives a big EM buff to the team, but Kirara is probably easier and would also let you use an anemo if Nahida is busy.

You can also run Zhongli if you have him and would rather do that than have a healer. I'm running Yae with Tighnari which is a bit better for that, but he's still not a bad spot for your defense.

Also with your lineup it sounds like you've got enough hydro and dendro to just make Nilou bloom work if you just need any second team

I'm building Yae now and it seems like it mostly comes down to whatever the best substats you have. Even 2pc/2pc of ATK, EM, ER, dmg% sets are competitive with 4pc as long as substats are good. And meeting her ER needs which is highly variable depending on your team. Kind of annoying tbh.

I only dipped in there a few times to get the new ore and boss for Xianyun. Was very glad the Lantern Rites quest auto travels you across most of the map for it's destination

I've barely touched the 4.1 and 4.2 areas. Only did the one world quest that gives Furina mats.

Yeah it's rough, I'd like C6 Sara (and Chevreuse) but I really don't need Raiden cons. Raiden was my first limited 5* but I almost never use her anymore. I vastly prefer International over Rational now that I have Kazuha and as for hypercarry...well, I don't have C6 Sara! Real catch 22, I'd like to unbench her but I'm not willing to invest more into her banner to do it.

Really wish they'd add the Inazuma 4*s to the starglitter store but I'm not holding my breath since they haven't done it already

It should be. Dehya and maybe now Navia's weapon are better stat sticks, but gravestone is still gonna be stronger than every non battle pass 4 star. There's still not a ton of great options for claymores that aren't hyper specific.

Except for Noelle, as a Def scaler I'm sure she's like Itto where Whiteblind is better than everything that's not Serpent Spine or his signature (also her bis).

Chiori's design is pretty good and she seems cool from what I've done of the event so far. Geo redemption arc incoming?

She wants HP%, crit and ER so yeah the HP sands sounds perfect and the others are okay with some good rolls. And she shouldn't need too much ER if you're putting her with another hydro and/or have some fav weapons on her team.

What weapon are you putting on her?

Definitely going for Raiden, will try and go for Nahiya.

She's not mine either but FWIW the story turned me around on her. Her personality isn't overly cutesy like the other child characters, who for the most part I can't stand.

Ultimately what swordz said is right though and if you're casually doing the story, keeping up with gear, and just sticking to the AR you need to progress the plot, the game will be pretty easy. You've got plenty of good units to get you through the game. Kirara, Beidou, Xingqiu, and the free Dendro characters (Traveler and Collei) will buddy with Yae just fine for that.

So you should always pull for characters you like, but if you ever want to do the highest level combat, Nahida is a bit too good to pass up.

Raiden is in the second half of this coming patch and is very good. Hard to say exactly without knowing 4 stars though.

Well she'll have Chevreuse at least! But yes Raiden is very good and slots right into the national team with Xingqiu, Xiangling, and Bennett.

The other banners I don't think are anything special unless you like the character designs. Ayaka is strong but has fallen out of favor, and her good teams are hard to assemble F2P because they require a lot of good 5* characters.

Besides that it's a pretty good time to come back though because not next patch but the patch after (4.4) will be the new year patch which always has more gem handouts and good reruns. They've been rerunning one archon per patch, so if this continues then Nahida should rerun then, unless they skip her for a patch to run more of the Chinese characters. If you have Yae then you want to look out for her, Nahida is one of her best supports and more generally is a contender for strongest character in the game.

Furina really shouldn't be using a healing set. She's not great at healing and that mode is just for emergencies or for when you're going around the overworld. Unless she's C6 she pretty much always wants Golden Troupe with HP goblet, crit hat, and either HP or ER sands depending on how much energy she'll need in the team you put her in.

Noelle can use either Husk or Marechaussee Hunter since you'll run her with Furina. With Furina pretty much every on field DPS can use MH.

Well Yelan + Furina is a really strong combo, hard to go wrong there. And with Noelle doing DPS, healing, and shielding, you're free to run pretty much whatever support or sub DPS you want in the 4th slot.

I assume you have C6? With that I'm pretty sure you can go for a DPS build with DEF sands and still have enough healing to keep up with Furina's HP drain.

Meanwhile I'm waiting for a Geo healer so that I can run Furina with Itto without dropping a third geo...

Charlotte cons are pretty good. Particularly getting her to C4 really helps her energy needs.

I'm tempted to pull for more of her cons myself, because I have plenty of wishes banked (like 300 including glitter) and wouldn't mind C1 or C2 Furina as well since both of those cons are great. Only thing stopping me is that it took me 20 pulls past Furina just for C0, and I already have C6 Beidou and C12 Collei so it's not a great banner for trying for Charlotte. Might as well wait for a rerun and try to snipe Chevreuse later.

I went pretty hard on the 4.0 areas but honestly haven't done much of the 4.1 or 4.2 exploration at all. I did the short 4.2 world quest about the tree and filled up the map for the new bosses but that's it. Haven't needed the primos so I've just been saving it all for a rainy day I suppose.

I liked the Archon Quest conclusion though, I guess that was enough for me for now.

Keel is Bronya's BiS planar if you have her.

The new energy set idk how good it actually is - it only really matters if 5% ERR is enough for the unit to ult a turn faster, which you'd have to find calcs for to find your specific threshold. Or if you're doing mono element, or at least matching to your DPS element. It's useless otherwise.

For example, Pela consistently ults in two turns with Tutorial. Asta with Cogs S5 also has full uptime on her ult by spamming skill. The ERR sets are useless on them.

First time. God it was that easy. To think all it took was actually knowing how the game works. And uh, pulling Huohuo.

She very easily solo sustains while clearing every debuff, and that's with her traces at 6, LC at 70/70, and most relics at 12.

Edit: Actually I guess I can't call it truly solo on 10 because I was using Welt who does slow and imprison enemies, which helps.

...I just learned today that buff removal like Pela's E works on special boss mechanics like the Sanctus Medicus guy's HP regen and Performance Points.

This would have saved me so many god damn headaches. What have I been doing???

Yeah I'm looking through my new stuff and all my boots and chests for the follow up set are straight trash. Topaz just gonna keep warming the bench.

On that subject, Topaz havers am I correct in assuming she wants ATK% boots, not SPD, because Numby's turn order stuff is so weird?

Maybe it also depends on your clear speed. Part of my issue with Lynx solo sustain is that if I don't clear enemies quickly enough, I get overwhelmed even though I could probably have enough damage to kill the boss in time. My Seele team could probably use more investment but she really struggles against waves of adds that aren't quantum weak. Kafka doesn't have this issue and demolishes everything lol. The 5* sustains help take that load off.

Yeah that does make a difference. My Gepard struggled with solo sustaining even on floors 7-8 until I tuned up his relics significantly. Now he's super comfortable. Well, his speed is still kinda carried by Asta but Asta's job is to carry the whole team so it's fine.

I get not investing hard in 4* sustains that you'll eventually replace, but it's definitely worth doing it for your 5* ones.

People say Huohuo can solo too but I don't have her fully decked out yet so I can't say personally. And once MoC 11 and 12 drop, double sustain might be needed again.

But I don't think full clearing MoC asap is the goal when you hit EQ5, you want to start building teams that will get you pretty far without wasting resources, and I'd say that means investing less in dual sustain until you really need it. IMO it's not worth grinding out those stars if youre struggling anyways.

If you don't have another 5* sustain, Fire TB will be useful with Lynx for when they can't quite cut solo healing. And you can partner Lynx with Clara for when she can. I run Seele/Bronya/Clara/Lynx (well, Huohuo now), it's pretty good. Since Bronya and Huohuo ults buff the entire team, they support having both a carry and a sub-DPS as opposed to someone like Tingyun who boosts the carry.

Tingyun, Asta, and Pela are are pretty incredible 4* supports and you can't go wrong with any of them, it just depends on what your teams need. Asta's team speed buff is great but she's very SP hungry to maintain it. Pela meanwhile requires 0 SP (if you have Tutorial Mission) and allows others to spam skills. Tingyun is Bronya at home, but Bronya at home is still probably the 2nd best support in the game.
