Attorney General Jeff Sessions did not disclose meetings he had last year with Russian officials when he applied for his security clearance, the Justice Department told CNN Wednesday.

I'm all for rooting for Kasich/Funnydemname in the 2020 primary. This would be about as ideal of a situation as I could ask for from the Republican party. I wouldn't commit to a general election vote until I saw the DNC opponent, but I could have supported Kasich against Hillary last year and having a Democrat VP is nice to think about too.

All that said, man, I just haven't seen the proof that Republicans want Kasich as President. It's kind of like a joke Al Franken said about liking Lindsey Graham the best of the 2016 Republican candidates -- Lindsey would joke about how that was Lindsey's biggest problem. Republicans don't want a Democrat's Republican.

I'd be pretty well shocked to see Kasich with a Democrat VP primary a sitting President after seeing the proven method of winning for Republicans has been to utterly disrespect Democrats. If he could get on the ticket though, it could be real interesting.

I think this is blaming Donald and I wouldn't argue against its accuracy, but I understood ISIS had been killing more civilians now too than they did during the Obama years. Just trying to make sure these numbers don't get blurred together -- they could both be true, in which case holy hell these civilians need to get out of there (and America should help them leave).

I'm in your boat too -- I don't understand the terminology of that field, but a VA Representative detailing it out like that (after the New Yorker did) gives what I think I understand of the story some additional weight. Weird to see Donald would interview people before then sending them to Carl Icahn, and it makes what they're doing with the EPA look even worse.

I'm all for C&P'ing posts from Twitter to protect bandwith and keep information centralized here, plus giving Twitter fewer hits doesn't upset me -- I've been tempted to swear off of it myself out of protest of how the troll-zone became the political-zone.

But if you want to keep asking what a Tweet says (a pretty dumb one this time -- wouldn't worry about this instance anyway), then it's easier on you and us both to just click it.

It keeps trying to turn real words I types correctly into different words. I'm talking about awesome dinosaur LADLES over here, not awesome dinosaur LADIES...yet auto-correct disagrees (oh, how I wish it was true though).

Been getting tired of this lately, but now I'm about to turn the feature off. Turning "7th" into "17th"...I just don't get why it would do it. It's a new phone too so it's not like off it's going by past things I once said.

This is still moderately better than my last phone that would auto-correct words into emojis, but still. Auto-correct needs to auto-chill to hell out.

Going through July's headlines and found this:

Pretty much, Donald's first paycheck went to honoring the bloodiest battle of the Civil War.

Seeing that after the Charlottesville white supremacy rally recently and being reminded he was the last Republican candidate to weigh in on the Confederate flag after the Roof massacre, I had a moment of clarity: a nation that honors their divisive losers increases his chances for his own legacy to live beyond him in even his worst-case scenarios. We know about his selfishness already, I just think this angle may have some weight too. "Don't let the value of hindsight remove my value to your future" sort of thing.

Also, we see more of a trend than a one-time accident that Donald defends the Confederacy. It's still odd for me to see a New York millionaire be the biggest advocate for the Confederacy in a long time; I'm unconvinced he actually cares for the stars and bars plus I still think he has bigoted thought processes, but he's showing some Confederate consistency and his fanbase was more receptive to these arguments than other Republican candidates were.

Thank you! Saving the links is easy, but catching up on the formatting takes me days here lately and I'm still about seven weeks behind. It's nice in a way so I stay reminded of recent history that feels so old but really wasn't that long ago.
