It's punishing the country, not the athletes who didn't do anything wrong. "Russia" as an entity isn't allowed any credit for any competitions these athletes win, but the athletes themselves, the innocent ones, still get independent credit as individual athletes.

I thought the entire point of it was that it was baby's first pokemon for children, so wouldn't that make it more a case of "just not for you" than "this game sucks"? Stuff like the overexplained controls, easy battles, linearity etc.

I'm pretty salty right now because I used all my stones on the step up...which I thought lasted longer, and as a result I didn't have enough stones to actually do the final step up. If I had realized, I would have just saved them all. Now I'll get like 1 or 2 shots at the new banner if I'm lucky. Which especially hurts because I still need to beat USS SBR, and both of these units would be tremendous boons.

It's looking like I will be eliminated in both my playoffs after being top scorer in the league.

League 1 - Up by 13, Projected to lose by 22
League 2 - Up by 38, Projected to win by 5 (but it tends to really underrate defensive projections and he has 2 def players left)

I will be fuming if i lose both. More so about League 1 where my LB took a shit and I almost subbed him out but opted against it.

I basically need the Chiefs to have a stinker against the Pats. He has Mahomes and Tyreek (but I do have Kelce)

Last week was pretty tough, most people got single digits. Leading the pack were @Paratroopa1 and @MegamanX with 12 wins! Biggest upset was a doozy, no one picked washington and they won (sadly, at the expense of ron rivera's carolina tenure.) *shakes angry fist*

Roto is essentially that you don't "play" anyone ever, your team just accrues points and you just go off of total points. It works better for daily stuff admittedly, but it is still the most fair format to exist if you're purely looking for the best team.

Luckily I am a fan of a franchise that hasn't been around long enough to even fill a single 32 year gap, so I KNOW my championship is coming one day! It's science.

This feels like a good time for me to give my personal view on sports championships. I've always considered a team having a right to a championship in any sport to be 1 year out of however many teams there are, so in the nfl it would be 1 out of every 32 years I consider a team to be "past due" given perfect parity.

The pats were founded in 1959, so 60 years ago. So if we're generous, we'll say the pats have a right to 2 superbowls.

They have 6. Which not only covers the 2 they're entitled to, but also 4 more sets of 32 years that they should not go with a championship (imo). In other words, the pats have won so much within the last 2 decades, that means that a whole generation of people and some others as well should go from birth to death without seeing their team hoist the trophy, because people like granzon got to experience 6.

Just be grateful for what you've had, and have some perspective. I get that you (granzon) feel like there could have been even more success, and you're probably right. But no matter how successful, no fan should "expect" his team to win the super bowl every single year, that's just not how sports are built. Your team's prior success doesn't give you some sort of moral highground to to expect a win all the time. It's just unreasonable. If what the pats have done isn't good enough for you, that's not the pats problem, it's yours.
