I don't know if the Steam version has filters (although personally I hate them and would much rather see blocky sprites), but it does have Workshop support for romhacks. I highly recommend playing through all the 16-bit Sonics as Amy Rose.

I've had a 360 for years, so I've played many of the BC games. My main motivation for picking this up is to be able to finish Panzer Dragoon Orta, since the PAL version always crashes after stage 3 on a 360. I also intend to try and get Dino Crisis 3 (out of morbid curiosity), Toejam & Earl 3, Crimson Sea and, if I can figure out a way to get it to boot on a PAL machine, Phantom Dust (Because **** Windows 10).

What other original Xbox exclusives should I look out for?

I'd say all of them except 4 and maybe 3* are worth playing. 1, 2 and OTR each excel in different areas.

* For reference, I haven't played 3 or 4 yet, I'm going off general opinion, which seems to be that 3 is a bit disappointing, and 4 is a lot shit.

Rollers of the Realm looks bizarre enough to be fun, and I have always been curious about that 3D Bionic Commando game even knowing it's reputed to be rubbish, so I'll go for the $1 tier. Already got everything I'm interested in on the BTA tier, and I don't care about sports management sims and don't want to pay that much for DMC4.

Everyone should get Tesla Effect though. And then the preceeding three Tex Murphy games and play those first.

It's not actually set in the Minecraft world, but a server in a future MMO version of Minecraft that people play 24/7 because the real world is a post-apocalyptic shithole.

I like how they announced a live-action version of Cowboy Bebop shortly after he admitted he couldn't play Spike. Although he said it was because he was now too old, rather than because he can't act (which has always been true).

It's pretty cheap on Humble at the moment, and I was all set to buy it based mainly on my mistaken belief that the female version of the main character was voiced by the lovely Ashley Johnson. Then I noticed that she plays someone else so now I'm back to wondering if the game's any good or not.

I'm a big Telltale fan so don't mind yet more of the same, as long as the same is decently written. And doesn't rely on knowledge of professional Youtube Minecraft players, rather than just the game itself.

We'll soon be getting a code that can be put into Pokémon Sun and Moon to get Ash's Pikachu. Well, the other problem is that I've played Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. The TWEWY cast showed up and dropped what seems to be a pretty massive spoiler, which kind of killed my enthusiasm to go back to the game they came from.

Only done the first couple of scenes so far, but all my concerns have already been pretty much solved. It just feels right, down to the Twin Peaks references straight from the off.

What do you think of Chloe's new VA? I think she's doing a good job, and given her age (and copious consumption of recreational substances), it's not hard to assume that Chloe's voice would have changed a bit over the intervening years.

On the one hand, it's a B-team prequel with minimal involvement from the original writers, which kind of makes is semi-approved fanfic. Plus it costs more than the original did for fewer episodes.

On the other hand... it's Life is Strange, and LiS was amazing and I want more.

Same here. I remember reading somewhere that the keys were valid on Steam if you could retrieve it, but the only way to view the key was in the GFWL marketplace program which was already disabled.

I know Rocksteady said they were done with the franchise, but then they made VR anyway, so maybe they could bring it back after all...

I've heard the Dark Souls board game is terrible though. I've not played it myself, but it's come out a few times at the games nights I go to, and it's never resulted in anything but hours of confusion ending in a blazing row. It's like they just threw a bunch of cool-looking components into a box and then came up with some rules.

So what actually is No Man's Sky these days? I thought it was being billed as a flight sim in the vein of Elite or Freespace back in the day, but then it turned out to be all about exploring planets... and then it turned out not to be anything because there was hardly any content.

I love Myst, but you should not play it on a console. It's mouse or nothing (maybe touch controls on Android/iOS, but the DS version sucked, so even then...)

Powered Up, too. I mean, Mega Maker is great and all, but MMPU had a level editor years earlier, and it had all the robot masters playable (plus two new ones, Proto Man, Roll and a couple of extra versions of Mega Man).

I just want bigger areas to build in story mode. I always had trouble building everything they wanted me to without running out of room. And couldn't build each person a house.

See, this is one of the things I think a better camera would fix. In Cantlin, I ended up trying to build underground rooms, and it was just so fiddly. A decent first-person mode, or at least an option to move the camera in close enough that you can see what's going on while under a roof, would make multi-level construction so much easier.

Although obviously a bigger footprint would be good too. Maybe have it get bigger as the level/population increases, to give even more of a sense that you're growing a tiny settlement into the start of a thriving community.

I think skeletons are generally supposed to be the lowest tier of 'serious' enemy. So you've got your rats and slimes who are basically just speedbumps, and then the skeletons who are still weak, but can pose a threat if you're not ready yet.
