Hey, the Mankind Divided offers are finally showing up. £10 for the base game, just what I wanted.

Hmm... or I can get the entire DE franchise for £15. I've already got most of it elsewhere, so it'd be £5 for the Mankind Divided DLC and The Fall, plus 'upgrading' (arguably) Human Revolution to the Director's Cut. I know MD is controversial, but is the DLC any good? I actually kind of want The Fall despite its negative reception just to see the plot through (I got it on Android, but the controls are awful).

Also, RaidersSphere4th is, according to the Ace Combat Reddit, the best AC-like game on PC, and is currently £3.75. I'll be picking that one up too, since the AC7 trailer got me itching for something new.

And maybe DOOM, and some DLC for Steamworld Heist and Hard West.

Just in case there are still KHUX players reading this who haven't already noticed, Illustrated KH2 Kairi is back on a 'guaranteed within 5 pulls' deal, and your first pull is reduced to 1500 Jewels.

I went for the discounted one just on the off chance I'd get very lucky (and then continue being lucky and roll the Extra Attack trait when I fused it), and was delighted to recieve an HD Naminé instead, along with the last Musketeer Mickey I need for guilt.

There are three things that (IMO) a QTE sequence needs to be good:

1) It should be clearly telegraphed
2) The buttons should logically correspond to the action, using the same controls the player would to do a similar action
3) The penalty for failure should be minimal, at worst setting you back to just before the start of the sequence itself (If it's a 'spectacular finishing move on a boss' QTEs, then the boss can be slightly healed so you have to hit it a bit more before you get another attempt. You should never have to start the fight all over again). I guess getting knocked onto the bad branch of a story because you fail is a penalty too, so that's acceptable.

I'm mostly basing this off Tomb Raider Legend, which made excellent use of QTEs.

WoFF is actually a really good game! The chibi art style is a bit funky but if you can get past that, it's a very enjoyable experience. There's a dungeon demo that's on PSN that'll give you a feel for it!

I tried the demo, and couldn't stand the cat-thing's verbal tic of randomly inserting 'the' into its speech. I can't even remember what the gameplay was like, my entire memory of playing the demo was wanting that bloody cat thing to shut the hell up, and possibly get flayed alive.

I'm enjoying XV though. I kind of feel like I'm missing out on mechanics I should be using but haven't been explained well (the same problem that hurt FFXIII until it threw up a brick wall that forced me to learn how its battle system actually worked), but overall it's enjoyable enough. It helps that I basically got it free by trading in cheap games from charity shops for sizeable profits (although I do somewhat regret not getting DQ73D instead. I went back the next week and bought that with real money).

I'm tentatively excited, but I need a few more details before I hit the pre-order.

Mainly, I want to know that there's going to be some weirdness. I'm okay with no time-travel (it wouldn't make sense anyway), but there needs to be something screwy going on. Maybe something that shows that Arcadia Bay has always been weird, and hints at a reason why Max got her power.

I'm also kind of annoyed that it costs more than LiS did despite only being three episodes, and the version with the bonux Max episode almost doubles the price.

A sequel is due out in 2017 with William Shatner as Two-Face.

They're assuming that the time, money and expertise spent on this game could have been better spent reviving a better series. Which makes the mistake of assuming that this game has time, money and expertise behind it.

According to Wikipedia, Accolade was owned by Infogrames, which was owned by Atari. Given that both of those companies are currently just brands with no actual people behind them, I'd assume that this 'Accolade' is just some random guy who bought the name. Possibly at a car boot sale along with the Bubsy IP.

Rebel Galaxy is pretty damn cool. It's basically the naval combat from Assassin's Creed, but IN SPACE and mixed with an Elite style trading sandboxy type thing. Definitely a great incentive to buy something to get hold of it.

It's not really like XCOM. Yes, it's a turn-based strategy, but the feel of it is very different, and that's what put me off it when I tried it during a Steam free weekend. I went into it looking for a fantasy XCOM, didn't find it, and left unhappy.

Out of interest, where's doing it for $8? I might give it another whirl at that price if it's somewhere I can use.

Just got a new most powerful medal in KHUX- decided on a whim to get the Illustrated Aqua medal from the current deal (basically just because Aqua's the best character in the franchise and I wanted to collect all her medals), and got a Boosted one. So I figured I might as well carry on and get seven. Now I've completed the set, got it guilted, and with another +1000 ATK trait as well as the Second Attack trait.

When slotted into the x2.30 slot on Divine Rose, she's got a total ATK of over 24000. Very nice. Pity pretty much everything else I got for my 21000 Jewels was crap (although I did finally get the Uniform Kairi I've wanted since they debuted. I could now equip an all-Kairi medal set)

I haven't played it, but going by reputation alone, I am sad to say that my GOG shelf includes Daikatana. It was in a bundle along with the Thief and Deus Ex games I actually wanted, and was promptly hidden and forgotten about until now.

I've also got Psychonauts for PS2. Now, don't get me wrong, Psychonauts is a fantastic game... but the PS2 port (at least the European release, apparently the US one is better) is an absolute trainwreck of barely-functional collision detection, making an otherwise superb title utterly unplayable.

Oh god, that bit at around 0:45 where they switch characters as they go round the skelter thing... there was a similar bit in an old advert for Sonic & Knuckles, where it kept swapping between the two characters as they climbed across the hanging bars in Flying Battery... I spent ages as a kid trying to figure out how to have both characters at once, or switch mid-game, and it never occurred to me that it was mocked up for the ad rather than an actual feature.

Well you're not getting me like that this time, Sega!

I've played a great co-op one called We Were Here, but until that gets another update/sequel, I'm looking for a solo adventure.

Basically I'm looking for something that handles like an FPS, but with puzzles instead of combat. IIRC, Amnesia comes kind of close to what I'm thinking of, but I'm a wuss and want something that isn't scary.

Got a couple of questions for my fellow KHUX players-

1) I've just remembered that Proud Mode is a thing and done the first few quests and got a new Keyblade. Is it worth levelling this one now, or should I hold onto the Electrum for later keyblades? (Or, to put it another way, is there enough available to do everything you need them for)?

2) If you link KHUX to a Facebook account, does it generate messages or updates or whatever you call them? I might need to borrow someone's account to move my save to a new tablet, and don't want my gameplay showing up on their feed. Actually, is it possible to completely remove a FB account link once I've got the login token on the new device?
(The other method, which I've used before, involves root, and I'd rather not root a brand new tablet while it's still under warranty.)

I would count them as the same game. Or possibly disallow them on the basis that a) Valve have, to my recollection, never actually confirmed that either was actively under development, and b) nor have they officially announced that there won't be another Half-Life game, meaning they're not technically cancelled.

Isn't XV actually Versus XIII under a different name? Like how Agito XIII turned into Type-0.

I'd also open it up to games that were extensively reworked during development so that the final product is significantly different to what was originally revealed- eg Dinosaur Planet before it became Star Fox Adventures, Rayman Raving Rabbids when it was a 3D platformer, etc.

The only songs of theirs I know (because they're the ones that got some airtime on UK radio) are Untouched and 4ever. And I really liked both of those, so I guess I should maybe listen to more of their stuff.

Are they actually still going? I kind of assumed they were just a flash in the pan, but maybe it's just that they didn't take off over here.
