Another nice little bit of foreshadowing is when Aht doesn't want to say goodbye to Stocke when first arriving in Granorg. Everyone else just assumes that it's the fickle attachment of a kid and her object of attraction. Given how Aht relatively knows Stocke's place in Historia (she refers to Stocke being the only one able to meet "God"; the twin beings in Historia being the closest to that in the game), and her agency regarding dead people and spirits, she likely knows the ultimate destiny of Stocke, if not the specifics.

Check to see if there are any loose wires nearby. That usually results in clicking from the power supply. Barring that, your power supply could be on the way out, if it's old.

YouTubers and streamers enable a lot of bad practices. I had no idea Rainbow Six Siege effectively had loot box Mechanics for its random emotes and skins. I mean, it's Ubisoft, so it's to be expected, but it's still widely under-represented as far as lootbox conversations are concerned.

They recently tried phasing out the basic edition of Rainbow Six Siege, in favour of a basic product that was $20 more, but contained several chances at in-game items. Understandably, people were pissed at this, so they rolled back this decision.

I don't really see the need to play in hard mode. If I'm playing an RPG for the story, I'm going to enjoy it and whatever fashion I desire. I understandably want some measure of difficulty, or else it's boring. However, I did beat Persona 4 Golden from new game hard mode, so there's that.

I'd forgotten how beautiful the game's music is. Yoko Shimomura is a goddess of composition. I like the new character portraits, as well. I wasn't happy with how they looked in the DS version. This game really is the completionist's perfect game, because you can't really miss anything. You can't even cut yourself off of story branches, because you can always go back to them. In fact, you have to go back to progress story in some instances.

I've already beaten the DS version, so now I can go through it again and try and pick up on some of the things I miss the first time I played it some 6 years ago. I'm at my first branch in the story, where you can either stay with the special intelligence group, or join up with the army division of Rosch's.

In a way they did. They added shortcuts that you bind to L1 and R1. You can bind weapons, items, and spells to these. My complaint is the only restricted to L1 and R1. They don't use L2/R2, L3/R3, or the tactile pad on the front of the controller. They really limited themselves here, but any upgrade over the original is still an upgrade.

Couple of more notes. I like how they gave the characters more character in this by introducing vignettes that the characters interact with each other in. I had Randi & whatever her name is interact with each other at the table in the inn before going to bed, commenting on the status of their current mission, and how they both want something different.

Also, what the fuck, Neko? Why are you charging me regular prices? You're supposed to be charging me exorbitant prices. Unless I'm remembering the price is wrong, I'm fairly certain chocolate is 60 Gil naturally in game, and fairy walnuts are a thousand Gil.

Honestly, the graphics look pretty decent. At least I find them so. They did a good job of keeping the bright and colorful visuals of the SNES version, and I'm warming up to the 3D renderings of the sprite work from the original. The action combat gameplay as a little more stiff, though.

I made it to the first town, and I'm close to switching over to the original score. There was a lot of subtle tones and nuance in the original, and the new town music is very harsh and contains sounds where there otherwise shouldn't be. I'm going to hear what the boss battle music sounds like before I do that, though.

Okay, they did a really smart thing in the options by separating voice over from sound effects. You can turn off voices entirely in this game, and that carries over to when the characters attack with their weapons. That's great, because I don't want to hear them grunting every time they thrust or swing. I'm not really feeling the remix music yet, though I'm giving it a good chance before I switch back to the original score.

Even when you go back to the pinnacle of the series - Dynasty Warriors 3 - it had extremely campy dialogue and delivery. My friends and I will still randomly bust out "Zhuge Liang... THE WIND!" on occasion. That was a great game with loads of personality. This? This is trash.

Because it's a mostly negative game. They took all the interesting bits that made it a Dynasty Warriors game out. Unique weapons? Gone. Unique voiceovers for characters? Gone. Unique battlefields? Gone. Bland, generic open world, no frenetic action set pieces, and you fucking hunt animals for crafting parts. That isn't a Dynasty Warriors game. It's garbage.

They were talking about doing this for the last eight fucking years. The overall funding amount for PBS and NPR amounts to less than a thousandth of a percent of their annual budget.
