Yeah, my shipping for a $100 tier (game + soundtrack and some minor stuff) was also $6.
Not too bad, and I effectively didn't pay tax for the game since it was a KS reward, so it semi-cancels out.
I saw it's apparently selling for only $50 on some consoles right from the start, so the fact we dropped $60+ and spent it years ago just to pay more than retail price upsets me a fair bit, though.

I'm not mad about it. I've reconciled that an early backer doesn't mean you get it for retail price; you just help get the game to its finish line. You're not buying a game - you're buying an idea on what you would like to be made. You're an investor. You're taking a risk. If you don't want to take that risk, wait until the game reaches its funding and releases in a few years.

Those are so fucking generic, I can't even tell exactly what they're supposed to be about. It doesn't invoke a sense of wonder in me - just apathy. AI art is just so soulless.

Haven't played it too much. Just enough to see if it was locked until release date. There's a day one patch for it that will be addressing some bugs that could prevent you from completing the game, so I want to wait until that drops before getting into it proper.

It looks very fucking pretty though.

Yeah, the only reason I have mine already is because my roommate clued me into the fact that they were doing shipping and distribution efforts already. Literally the day after they opened, I gave them $20 for shipping.

The game looks frickin' good. I was worried that they would have it locked until the game had its international release, like they do with digital copies. Glad to see that all the game data is actually on the game disc.

I had questions about that as well. It's apparently because of the 25th anniversary of them printing their first guide, not Dark Souls' 25th anniversary.

Do you know how Dark Souls 3's DLC went? The Painted World and the Ringed City Was a three-tiered location that you could access from in-world at various stages to the world that took place in an alternate reality. Dark Souls DLC featured events hundreds of years prior to the game's current world stage. Your edgy contrarian shtick isn't doing the lifting here.

We are going by historical precedent with Fromsoft. All of their DLCs are effectively instanced from the world state. There's no reason to assume it's going to be anything other than this.

And before anybody accuses me of trolling, this has happened previously and has been documented by modders to boot.

I think everybody knows that updating games breaks mods. There's a reason why there's a strong swell of people who have not upgraded to the Skyrim Anniversary Edition.

I'm interested in seeing how this modern update works on PC. I'll install it on GOG and see what happens.
