Only thing she got wrong about the "deplorables" comment is she was far too generous to the other 50% of Trump supporters.

You underestimate the degree to which Christo-fascists, the people who believe every word in the Bible as literal (except for the parts that tell them to be good people towards others) and that their version of Christianity should be the law of the land, take that book seriously.

I will always advocate to stand up to bullies, but I also always say along with it that you need to pick your spot, pick your battles. When you're grossly outnumbered is not the time to fight back. Also I recognize that my advice comes from the experience of living in a relatively decent area, no real worries of literal (like, MS-13) gangs or guns or any of that shit. So I also add that it probably doesn't apply in really dangerous areas.

But I am absolutely not blaming the victim in this case. They might've been on the verge of murdering the kid he saved for all we know and he felt like he had to act. And I'm sure he would've run away if he could, but when it's fucking 15 on 1 I doubt he even had a route to escape.

I'd also like to clarify that I'm not blaming the victim. That did an amazingly brave thing and suffered the ultimate consequence. I don't want to demonize the route of standing up to the bullies, I just hate that this was the ultimate consequence in this case. It's very true they might have just killed the intended victim and/or their savior anyways, I just hate this reality.

If you mean the trials, he (Trump) is probably going to run the clock out on those so any convictions happen after the election.

If you mean the 14th amendment, that process already seems to be dragging along at a snail's pace and will likely have to cross the (conserative) supreme court before anything substantial takes place.

The only results I've heard on this is for MN, and in that case they said it wasn't the right time because he hasn't officially won the primary, and that they're welcomed to bring the case back once he's officially at risk of becoming POTUS.
