Tormund is not dead, and he has a lot of plot armor because he can't be replaced. Early seasons (and the book) are good because there are so many damn characters when one dies, their role can still be fulfilled.

Tormund is effectively the last of the wildlings outside of Gilly. Sure, there were scrubs with him at the wall, but all the named wildlings are dead and have been dead for some time. If Tormund dies, then Jon's whole martyrdom of letting the wildlings in doesn't mean anything because they just all died anyway. They are also gearing up for the big battle to be "everyone" vs the undead (outside of Cersei). They need a wildling contingent there for that to occur, and they aren't going to be like "wow look at all these people, you have a Lannister, Starks, Greyjoys, Targaryens, uh this random wildling extra we found, the Vale, etc all fighting together!".

Once they stopped giving us extra wildling characters to meet and talk to, Tormund has been basically untouchable.

You say that, but there are no named Dothraki left either.

By the way, to the people annoyed at Rhaegar naming two sons Aegon...

He didn't divorce his wife, he had the marriage annulled. That means that the marriage was never valid and his children in it are just bastards. That means Aegon Targaryen (Jon) is to be his 'real' son and Aegon Sand (his original son) is just kicked to the curb.

It makes sense if you assume Rhaegar is a completely heartless jackass.

I hate the way Littlefinger went out. I know he had to die to Sansa in the end, that was always obvious, but Bran basically told him that he can see the past and knows what he's up to... so he conspires against Arya? Either you try to kill Bran or you immediately leave Winterfell, but you don't just continue on as normal. Even if you assume Bran told Sansa and Arya everything happening off-screen and that Littlefinger's plan would have worked otherwise (which undoes the entire "Sansa overcoming Littlefinger" part), it still makes no sense that Littlefinger just ignored Bran.

I guess they just had to write out one more subplot.

I am feeling pretty confident at least one of those writing teams is hoping to break open the enigma of the Doom. Full stop. Aegon's Conquest feels like something some other team is probably pitching. We know that Robert's Rebellion will not be one of the prequel ideas, but I feel like it's too limited in scope for an open world game. Like, by far.

I don't know if you can do the Doom in an open world game. You'd either have to limit your open world to Valyria or you'd have to set your open world in Essos, which people are less invested in than Westeros.

I'm banking on the Doom of Valyria being one of the five prospective spinoff pitches. I'm banking on at least two more of those being things hardcore fans really want to see. I'm curious what Bethesda Game Studios, if it's them, would do in that regard. Maybe something set during the time period of the original Azor Ahai, the Long Night, etc

The most obvious interesting things:
- Robert's Rebellion
- Long Night
- Doom of Valyria
- Aegon conquering Westeros

But most of these have problems. We already know everything important about Robert's Rebellion, the Doom of Valyria is meant to be mysterious, and Aegon's conquest is sort of unimportant. I guess the Long Night could work.

Left behind in Mereen, wasn't he? Something about how Dany can't conquer Westeros while being so distracted by her feelings for him. *cough*notthatthat'sstoppinghernow*cough*

Her reasoning was that if no one was left in Mereen to keep order, the city would collapse, and she didn't want her boytoy around when she was cruising for husbands. Then she told Tyrion that she felt nothing for the guy, which surprised her because she thought it would be harder to dump him.

68. Ann
https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/hmwikia/images/a/a6/Ann_BTN.png/revision/latest?cb=20140915070508
Origin: Harvest Moon
Nominator: WhiteLens (2/4 Remaining)
Looks: 38
Personality: 68
Projected Wife Capacity: 79
Overall Score: 61.7

Ann is a waitress, cook, and maid, and is a tomboy, but apparently in the sense of “not super girly-girl therefore tomboy” instead of the “actually acts boyish” sense. I’ll be honest. If you wear a giant bow in your braided ponytail, you have probably disqualified yourself from tomboy status.

Looks-wise, Ann isn’t exactly a winner. Oh, she’s got good red hair, but her positive attributes start and end there. There’s not much to say here, really. It doesn’t help that the art style of this series does not make for attractive characters.

Personality-wise, she’s friendly and loves to work hard. What’s not to love? She apparently overeats, but I assume she has anime immunity to actually becoming overweight (and if she didn’t, that would only affect her Looks anyway). Apparently if she marries someone else, she gets upset that he thinks she’s not ladylike enough? Bleh, whatever. That’s a valid reason to get upset I guess.

Ann’s PWC is where she shines. As I said before, I like having an apartment that’s as clean and organized as possible, and I foresee only help from her. Add to that that I found a list of her gift preferences, which is basically just a long list of food, jewelry, and recipes for food—things I can easily just buy for her on the way back from school. Done. No difficulties here.

Overall, Ann looks to be really, really solid.

69. Meliadoul Tingel

Origin: Final Fantasy Tactics
Nominator: Not_an_Owl (1/5 Remaining)
Looks: 50
Personality: 75
Projected Wife Capacity: 60
Overall Score: 61.7

Poor Meliadoul. She’s not even a bad character, but she joins super late and well after Cid’s joined you, and Cid not only has all of her powers, he has every sword attack in the game, making her completely useless.

Looks-wise, Meliadoul is harmed by her game’s art style. She’s got short, ruffled hair, which I’m alright with, and dresses in big, bulky robes, which I’m not a fan of.

Personality-wise, she’s filled with vengeance right up until she realizes there’s a demonic plot about, and then she becomes brave, kindhearted, and determined. You might think I’ve overrated her, and perhaps I have, but I really appreciate how she’s basically a reasonable person surrounded by unreasonable dicks in the Church and yet she still manages to see the truth of what’s happening.

PWC-wise, she technically goes on weird adventures, but they’re not wide-ranging and normally she stays in an area, so I don’t think we’re going to encounter problems like some previous waifus.

Overall, anyone who knocks Meliadoul is a Meliatool… sorry.

Its two things that they do separately just put together, nerfing it would mean nerfing them

The problem is that they're basically uncounterable except by hitscan heroes and Hanzo, and even then it requires way more skill to stop them than they require to operate.

You're right, though. The heroes are fine on their own, it's only the combination that's a problem. I don't know how to fix that, but I do know that letting a Mercy instarez her Pharah just whenever instead of as an ult is only going to make it worse.

Origin: Agents of SHIELD
Nominator: Murphiroth (2/5 Remaining)
Looks: 67
Personality: 58
Projected Wife Capacity: 60
Overall Score: 61.7

Melinda May is a double? agent inside of SHIELD, secretly working for SHIELD’s boss because he doesn’t trust them. Or something. I’ll be honest, I stopped watching this show very quickly. I’m not a big superhero fan.

Okay so I guess Melinda May’s Looks paragraph can be replaced by “The ranking where we discovered Anagram’s weakness for professionally-dressed hot Asian chicks.” Objectively she is probably not a 67, but whatever, I’m the one doing this ranking.

Personality-wise, she’s quiet, fearless, and willing to break the rules. She acts cold to people she doesn’t trust or know, but I assume that as a waifu that will not include me, so the warmer and more selfless personality applies. Sounds good.

PWC-wise, she’s got a government job that should be stable, though I know in actuality that it’s always getting infiltrated by Nazis or aliens or whatever. Still, it seems like a pretty decent job.

Overall? Melinda May seems like a winner.

Regarding teleportation, I think there's something to be said for the idea that you don't need characters to move a ton physically to tell an action-packed story. Season 4 is among the best for sure - Arya and the Hound never left the Riverlands, and all of the Lannisters partied in King's Landing the whole season.

I bet the Hound is kicking himself that he didn't learn how to teleport back in season 4 yet.
