60. Yuria the Witch
http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/_img/chars/yuria-the-witch-demons-souls-1.81.jpg
Origin: Demon’s Souls
Nominator: Pirateking2000 (2/5 Remaining)
Looks: 64
Personality: 60
Projected Wife Capacity: 65
Overall Score: 63

Yuria practices a dark form of the Soul Arts, which probably means something to people who have played Demon’s Souls. The player can rescue her and turn her into a magic tutor. She was born with a magical ring in her hand, which is admittedly pretty weird, and so was persecuted.

Looks-wise, I’m gonna level with you and admit that I gave her this ranking based on a piece of art that turned out to be made by a fan. Still, it’s not too off of the ranking I’d give her legitimately based on her character model, which I eventually found on youtube. She’s a cute girl in a witch hat, what’s not to like?

Personality-wise, she’s kind but timid. Eh, I can roll with it, but she’s not getting any big points for that. She becomes infatuated with the PC for rescuing her, which seems pretty reasonable, and that’s like about it? The characters in these games seem to be pretty bare. From what I read, she used to be more powerhungry and hateful before the game starts, which would have lowered her ranking quite a bit.

PWC-wise, she seems like a competent magic tutor. That’s probably a decent job, isn’t it? My impression in these games is that the secondary tutor and merchant characters don’t go into battle and get themselves killed, so that should work pretty decently.

Overall, my main problem with Yuria is that I don’t want to get attacked by crazy church inquisitors or whatever. Since I live in LA, though, that’s not likely to be an issue, which makes her a decent waifu.

No one can occupy China or Russia, much less both. What the USA could do is disable their ability to project power outside of their own borders. I don't know if it could do so quickly enough to prevent its Asian allies (Japan, SK, Taiwan) from being heavily damaged. SK in particular is in the greatest danger.

Origin: Ghost in the Shell
Nominator: cyan1001 (1/5 Remaining)
Looks: 84
Personality: 71
Projected Wife Capacity: 34
Overall Score: 63

Two major anime chicks out one right after the other, ouch. Motoko is the leader of Section 8, an anti-technology crime division in the future of Tokyo. She’s also played by Scarlet Johansson in a really bad live action remake. My “favorite” part of that movie is that people complained that she was white playing a character obviously mean to be Japanese, so they hastily wrote in a scene that explains that her soul is actually that of a Japanese lady’s, Jesus Christ, it’d be less silly if you just didn’t bring it up at all.

Looks-wise, I doubt I need to justify anything here, so I will instead tell you my favorite and least favorite thing about her. When I watched this series, I noticed something very quickly: everyone was drawn in this down-to-earth realistic (for anime) fashion except Motoko, who’s very anime-y. She’s got crazy purple hair, giant eyes, and looks nothing like everyone else. Later I found out the explanation: that the illustrator lazily reused a design from an earlier work that happened to be a hentai and he didn’t expect GitS to become popular.

Personality-wise, I’m pretty torn. Motoko’s main attribute is that she’s always calm, badass, indifferent, and unflappable. She loses her cool like one time in forty episodes, and that’s when she has to fight a tank with a handgun and loses. I guess it’s easy to be badass when you’re the best at absolutely everything, though. My concern is that while I’m sure these are all useful qualities for a cop (maybe not routinely dressing like a literal prostitute, that’s why I used one of her more covered-up pics here), it seems like she’d be hard to get along with.

Speaking of which, like Seras Victoria, her PWC is what sabotages her from top twenty material. There are multiple problems here: she’s never going to show any kind of real emotion in a relationship, she’s an unaging robot, she’s a cop who constantly risks her life, and she’s better than you at absolutely everything, so it’s not like you can play a game with her or anything and expect to win. Also she has a weird relationship with a guy a foot taller than me and twice my size.

Overall, Motoko seems like a great cop and a terrible potential waifu.

62. Seras Victoria
https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/hellsing/images/d/df/Serasserious.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160213234815
Origin: Hellsing
Nominator: GuessMyUserName (3/5 Remaining)
Looks: 89
Personality: 71
Projected Wife Capacity: 29
Overall Score: 63

Seras Victoria will always have a special place in my heart as the first anime girl I ever got into a discussion about attractiveness over. My friend James insisted that she was like the hottest anime girl ever, and I couldn’t think of a comeback. Jeez, the anime came out 2001? Did it immediately get an English translation or something? Because I remember watching it in like 2002. Oh yeah she’s a cop who becomes a vampire.

Looks-wise, “holy ****” is about the only way to put it. Seras is number 4 overall for highest Looks, and I doubt I need to explain why. Unlike a lot of anime with weird artstyles, Hellsing’s slightly grittier/darker aesthetic actually helps make her more attractive. She’s got this weird unkempt hairstyle going on that absolutely works, and I guess I have to be honest to my fourteen year-old self and point out the sheer size of her rack. How do you be a cop with those things? Actually she dies in the first episode so I guess that’s my answer.

Personality-wise, Seras is strong-willed, brave, tomboyish, and questions orders if they’re stupid. Despite sometimes acting a little childish, she’s still the most grounded and mature of most of the characters. Despite having some weird dark stuff in her backstory, she still manages to be pretty reasonable and cheerful. Again, everything here makes her really good.

Where it falls apart is her PWC. First she works for an anti-vampire organization, so right off the bat she’s going to constantly be getting shot at. I know perfectly well how this works, we’re going to go to a movie or something, a vampire will kill me halfway through, and then my waifu swears revenge. Additionally, Seras is herself a vampire, which means no going out during the day, no crossing bodies of water (though I live in LA, so it’s not like there’s water to cross anyway), and no garlic. And I love Italian food! But just as big a problem is that we learn in the first episode that Seras is a virgin (not my fault that’s a plot point), which means she’s got zero experience with love or relationships that aren’t to Alucard. Everything about this relationship is going to be a nightmare.

Overall, Seras is one hell of a looker, but I just do not envision her as being able to hold down any kind of long term relationship.

Alright, I redid Saki's points and figured out where in the list he would be.

133.5. Saki Mizushima
http://www.project-imas.com/w/images/7/7e/Saki2_SR2.png
Origin: iDOLM@STER
Nominator: WhiteLens (1/4 Remaining)
Looks: 64
Personality: 60
Projected Wife Capacity: 40
Overall Score: 37.3

Saki Mizushima is a Japanese female basketball player for the Toyota Antelopes and the Japanese national team, a woman whose Wikipedia page is two sentences long, and is only 5’8”, which seems really short to me for a basketball player, even a female one. Oh yeah and she has the same name as a boy who dresses up as a girl in the iDOLM@STER series.

Looks-wise, Saki nails the generic anime cuteness. Instead of talking about how he looks, I’d like to say that I examined every picture in his gallery, and only about a third of them had breasts. That means he stuffs, but not consistently. It’s very strange. If you’re pretending to be a girl then you stuff and if you’re not then you don’t stuff, but why would you stuff only part of the time?

Personality-wise, Saki loves cute things and thinks gender doesn’t matter so long as you can still wear them. He also seems to be extremely chipper and cheery, possibly to an annoying extent, but I can let that slide.

PWC-wise, I’m afraid that as a non-girl, he’s going to have some difficulties in this area. I guess he does have a job as an idol, but without any substantial knowledge of the Japanese idol scene, I suspect that means he’s going to be doing a lot of traveling, right? Which means little time for us to be together.

Overall, Saki has only damning quality, which is that even his status as a waifu is itself questionable. If he could have gotten over that hurdle, he’d be probably fifty spots higher.

If she enters the battlefield under your control through any means except being cast from your hand, you lose. There are various ways that can happen. Meanwhile actually attacking with an expensive, scrawny creature is not that easy to do.

Momir Vig also probably contributes a lot to that. It's a Magic Online-only casual format where you play with decks of only basic lands and can generate a token each turn for some random creature in Magic with a specific mana cost. There aren't that many creatures that cost 7 and sometimes you hit Phage and lose.

Ah, that makes sense.

It doesn't matter that it makes no sense. The Inhumans are the closest thing Marvel still has to the X-Men, so they'll push it despite it clearly being a terrible idea. It's one of the biggest obvious missteps of the MCU.

If the White Walkers overrun Winterfell and make it to KL, that implies they destroy everything between Winterfell and KL as well, which would at least be a good way to write out Robin and Edmure (remember them?). Then you could have Cersei refusing to let in refugees from the North and the remaining Jon/Dany army.

If they're stopped at Winterfell, then Cersei effectively becomes the final boss. I don't know if the writers are prepared for that, though. They've built the NK up pretty well as the ultimate bad guy, I don't think they'd have Cersei take that in the end.

I think the White Walkers will destroy Winterfell and make it down there. Destroying Winterfell early on would be a good move because it's one of the only two cities the audience really cares about. We also have to factor in Theon and Yara's subplot. I assume they'll ultimately kill Euron and turn the Iron Islands into allies against the White Walkers.

64. Elspeth Tirel
http://magic.wizards.com/sites/mtg/files/images/featured/EN_Elspeth_Header.jpg
Origin: Magic the Gathering
Nominator: trdl23 (2/5 Remaining)
Looks: 61
Personality: 81
Projected Wife Capacity: 45
Overall Score: 63

Elspeth is a Planeswalker in Magic: the Gathering. She specializes in white magic, and honestly, the only character from this entire franchise I remember is Phage. And even that’s only because when I was fourteen, I played a game where my friend outplayed me and was going to win, so I just surrendered, and he got upset and insisted I continue because “I’ve never killed anyone with Phage before.”

Looks-wise, Elspeth is fine. I don’t normally like girls who cover up their hair, I think hair is a pretty integral part of a waifu’s physical attractiveness (sorry all of you otherwise-sexy leukemia patients out there), but she’s able to pull it off. This is a weird complaint, but her eyebrows are really thick, is that just me?

Personality-wise, Elspeth specializes in magic that builds communities, bolsters them, and protects them from harm, and everything I could find on her Wiki page sums her up as basically always trying to do the right thing and help people. All of this seems to work except for…

Her PWC. Since she’s always going to be busy helping people, I assume there’s going to be little time left for the two of us to do stuff. And I’m just assuming that Planeswalkers can visit any plane they want to whenever they want, which helps alleviate the worst aspects of a waifu being a dimensional adventurer or whatever.

Overall, Elspeth seems like someone you might look up to, but as a waifu, I don’t know, she seems kind of untouchable.

In fairness I am certain that any response I made would be taken as evidence that it's me.

I like how you respond to this but not to the fact that you could potentially track your phone.

Unless it's something preinstalled, it wouldn't have worked because I never installed any kind of find my phone ap. It doesn't matter a lot in any case because the service has already been cancelled and my insurance will get me a new phone.

Clearly we need you to post a video od yourself doing a backflip.

It's funny how I posted that like ten years ago, not even an exaggeration, and yet people still reference it all the time.

How do we know this is really Anagram? It could be the person who took the phone posing as him!

I didn't even think of this.

That student sounds like a sexy, brilliant man. You should give him an A on all future tests and quizzes.

You don't have an ap on your phone that lets you track it?

I was lazy and didn't want to bother.

I lost my phone once, someone found it and turned it into the campus police.
I lost my phone again and a kid found my sim card, called my dad and arranged a meetup to return it to me.
I lost my wallet...and someone turned it into the local police. Everything was still in the wallet.

It wasn't just me, my roommate lost his wallet and he was contacted to pick it up on campus. Nothing was missing.

I went to fantasy land, just ignore me.

The funny part is that I'd also lost my phone twice at school and both times someone turned it into the administration.

How do you forget Yuki Nagato

She is the best character in Haruhi for sure. It's been like eight years so I don't remember anyone else's names, but from what I remember:

Yuki > Haruhi > Main Guy > Psychic Guy > Talking Cat > Time Travel Girl

call your phone

The cops did. They were surprised when the phone was still on, they expected the guy to have turned it off immediately.

especially because the larger themes of the main story in the book are almost the complete opposite of the themes and values that the showrunners have propped up.

What would say these are and how they've been reversed?

When I do read the GoT books, they better be perfect like people hype them up as

I've only read the first book, but it was pretty good and went into way more detail on stuff than the show did. I assume that the books continue to pay the same level of attention to detail.
