Got another question.

the speed with which such waves move is given by the expression 2rad(Dr), where r is the reproductive rate of individuals and D is a parameter quantifying dispersal. Calculate v'(r), the derivative of the wave speed with respect to the reproductive rate r.

I can't tell if I'm supposed to use the chain rule or product rule or what. I tried 2(Dr)^1/2 therefore (Dr)^-1/2 therefore 1/radDr, but that's not correct.

Can you see the other person on CODEC?

Because Master Miller removes his sunglasses on CODEC to reveal it's really Liquid, Meryl does the same with her mask, and at one point Otacon jumps closer to the screen to scream at you, but the logic of how CODEC works doesn't seem to allow for visual communication.

More specifically, I don't understand how the computer got a result.

Find dy/dx by implicit differentiation.
7radx + rad7 = 9

Now I can easily tell that this becomes (1/2)*7x^(-1/2) + (1/2)y^(-1/2)*y' = 0. All of that is easy and makes perfect sense. My problem is this next part. The computer goes from the result I got to this:

1/radx + y'/7rady = 0

I can see that the x^-1/2 and y^-1/2 are becoming the radicals in the denominators, sure, but the rest is a mystery to me. Where did the 1/2 in both the x and y parts go? How did the 7 get from being in front of the 7 to being in front of the y?

It depends on genre. I've read most of the really important classics (though I still haven't gotten around to Moby-Dick), and I have an interest in sci-fi and fantasy, but I know little about thrillers.

Yeah, MGS5 Ocelot just... isn't Ocelot. There's no depth to him anymore, he's just a loyal underling dude. I feel like Kojima was having that as a cover for him to do something crazy toward the end of the game, but, well...

Right, he got Konami'd. Man, rip MGS5, coulda been such a good game with a longer development time.

In complete fairness to the game, Ocelot does have a crazy convoluted plan that displays his undying love for Big Boss, and he does torture one person, but it's just not presented the same way.. The really frustrating thing about the game is that it has a ton of really good aspects, but screws up so royally on characterization, cutscenes, and story.

It's really everyone, but Ocelot in particular gets it the worst. He's just a generic cowboy guy with none of the crazy or torture stuff you expect from him. He doesn't even use the revolver he has in every other game. Also he gains a Texan accent for no reason.
