It really is easy. Googling recipes exists. When you truly get good at cooking, you can tamper with the recipes, but beginners should just follow.
I was making fun of TC

Tutorials can be useful, but they should always be skippable. I should never have to do tutorials on a second playthrough ever

Since it was frozen it's hard to give a timetable, and the date is no good, so if it's thawed give it a smell. It might be slightly musky, but if it's no good it will be pretty obvious.

QTEs are a garbage mechanic. When your gameplay boils down to 'press x to not die', you know the devs are unfathomably lazy.
This tbh
It reminds me of the games I used to make in middle school that were literally just "click on this specific part of the picture in 5 seconds or you start over"

This is why I played K1 before 0. I'd rather play a so-so game with potential for improvement than an incredible game with a big drop in quality afterwards. Story wise K1 is fantastic. It's just lacking in a lot of QoL. Plus I loved the Majima Everywhere gimmick.
I played 0 after 6, and honestly there's so many call-backs and references that I wouldn't have understood at all if I'd played it first

I've played 0 and it was really good. Couldn't get into K1.
K1 definitely feels like a step back after 0, but ultimately it's the continuity that makes the series great. Like, none of the individual games are amazing games but add them together and the series is phenomenal.

My argument is that it's a more intuitive design. Who is going to decide to accelerate themselves to never before heard of speeds on a thing that will not stand up on its own no matter how hard you try?
I mean, if you roll a single wheel down a hill it does the same thing a bike does, so I don't think it was a totally alien concept lol
Sack to crack, going to town
I would assume the first prototypes for a foot-powered vehicle most likely did have 3-4 wheels because as you said it just seems like common sense. But over many iterations they probably came to realize that it takes a lot less energy to move two wheels than to move four and obviously the physics of it work out, so boom here's your bicycle

For all the deserved criticism that Ubi gets for their games, I still find this surprising because I thought they always went to great lengths to nail these types of things in the worlds themselves. Like, obviously they play pretty loose with actual historical figures as well as historical events, but things like architectural and cultural practices are the sorts of things they've always employed experts to make sure they get right.

I think all live-service multiplayer games should do this at some point

like, yeah, sure, bots are hard and all that, but like if I want to just drop in on like...I dunno, Evolve or Battleborn or something, I should be able to futz around for like an hour by myself and go "yeah that was fun" as opposed to "oops nobody else plays this guess you're SOL"
It should be the sort of thing that is planned for from the beginning, basically a switch they can flip when the time comes. It's ridiculous that games just cease to exist when the server shuts down.

I'll probably never play Redfall but this is a solid move by the devs
