In the wake of the studios closure, all of Redfalls major content plans have naturally been scrapped. This means that Redfall will receive no further content or non-critical updates after Update 4, and its planned roadmap will not go ahead. The game will remain online, however, and is still available for purchase on Xbox and PC or download via Game Pass.

For those that have already spent money on the games Bite Back Edition or various upgrades to get the Hero Pass, publisher Bethesda is offering a credit to the value of the added content. The process is seemingly still being finalised but anyone wanting to claim that can find all of the details as they arrive here*.

Been playing Deathloop again, never did beat it. Great game.

Redfall, is it going to actually matter if it has an offline mode?

Good news for the twenty-seven people playing it.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Take me down from the ridge where the summer ends
And watch the city spread out just like a jet's flame
Suicide Squad will probably follow the same thing as well lol.
DI MOLTO!
I think all live-service multiplayer games should do this at some point

like, yeah, sure, bots are hard and all that, but like if I want to just drop in on like...I dunno, Evolve or Battleborn or something, I should be able to futz around for like an hour by myself and go "yeah that was fun" as opposed to "oops nobody else plays this guess you're SOL"
Variable General Veeg, at your service
The Division games should already have this. I've gone through both games solo not joining mp once

Battleborn is just a drink coaster these days, but didn't the Evolve servers turn back on a year ago? IIRC the developer or publisher was like, "Well, we don't know what exactly happened, but enjoy the game, we guess?"

It should be the sort of thing that is planned for from the beginning, basically a switch they can flip when the time comes. It's ridiculous that games just cease to exist when the server shuts down.

I'll probably never play Redfall but this is a solid move by the devs
Sack to crack, going to town
The 4 people who liked the game will be pleased
What does Redfall even play like?
Definitely not a hornypost
no one plays it what would have been nice is full refunds
Uniroically pog, even if the game itself is kinda poopy.

It's like if you pulled all the talent out of a Borderlands game and stuck what was left into an Ubisoft open world.

Is it going to get a new physical release with the single-player mode already on the disc? Otherwise, why really bother. Once the game is delisted from the service, there will be no (official) way to play it, since you'd need the update file to get past the online requirement (unless you keep the game installed on your device.)

I always kind of wonder why someone would bother with a physical version of a game that requires a constant online connection, since it'll be useless when it is finally taken offline.

They could have made it for the xbox one too.

I'm pretty sure the One could handle it.
