From what Ive heard a sequel is desperately needed so they can work out a lot of issues the first one had

"being considered"

Wasn't it initially announced to have a PC port?

Finally, maybe the anti-woke goobers will shut up about the game getting censored once they can mod back in the unfinished outfits from the 1.0 build of the game.

Did that game even end up being good? I've heard virtually nothing about it since it came out

Yes. Story is like a stepdown from Nier Automata (which at least you don't need multiple playthroughs for) but combat is excellent, exploration is fun, and music is lovely. Oh, and the MC is gorgeous and you get to dress her up lol.

I think the biggest reason for it being non-existent is because it's a PS5 exclusive. If they do release it on PC, you probably will hear more of it. I think it's also another case of the "controversy" outshining the game itself as well.

Not really.

Even if it has changed in the past few weeks, it's pretty damn good for a studios first IP/AAA game.

Free publicity.

I can't tell you a single thing about it except that people are mad because there's a chick who's either too fat or too hot. I can't remember which. Or maybe more than one.

If it lands on PC, it will be clothing optional.

Is that number the amount of critics or user reviews?

I imagine either both or user reviews. Hard to imagine 32k critics <__< Which can happen I guess but...yeah lol

I can believe it since Stellablade is a battlefield for culture wars, so many incel soldiers are probably doing their part to fight in this war. Not saying the game is bad, but like others have mentioned, its rise to popularity has been mainly because of the drama.

From what I heard, the story is hot garbage, but the gameplay is actually pretty good

I had a feeling, because that's a terrible way to measure a games "success" especially one that is tied to a "culture war". Not saying the game is bad or good (I personally enjoyed what I played in the demo), but user review score and count is easily manipulated and depending on the context can be used in bad faith to not give an accurate picture.

I wouldn't go that far. It's still better than something like Mass Effect
Does the game need mods when it's already full of....stuff?

It was the second best selling game in April after Helldivers 2.

Has been the top selling game on Famitsu's Japan Sales chart for three weeks as of 4 days ago.

Was nearing 100k physical sales in Japan last I read and while rumors about selling 1 mil copies at launch have not been confirmed, it doesn't seem like a farfetched idea at this point about a month or so in.

I guess everyone has their own measurement of success, but just constantly saying "culture war" and "controversies" is propping up the game feels like hyper focusing on the "bad" which wasn't even that bad at all. Much like Dragons Dogma 2's micro transactions scandal.

I enjoyed the game. One of my favorites in the past year or so. If y'all wanna focus so much on the controversies and culture war, then that's all fine and good too.
