Shattered 10/28/23 11:15:42 AM #34:	I have spent way more than I should on Pokemon cards in the last 1-2 months but with how values are right now, I feel comfortable in saying the 151 set is easily the set where I am comfortably up if I actually wanted to sell. Every other set I'd have been better buying singles or selling the packs I had laying around (I had multiple boxes in my garage that were 3-5 years old) I can kinda justify it because I recently offloaded a lot of my NBATopshot set and that was worth a decent amount <cite>Shattered posted [p:976904155] in Question f... I also got some other alternate cards like dragonair and a Venusuar and Mew Ex. Im debating on finishing the set because I have the first 151 and just missing some of the backend set cards. If somebody wants cards from there, they're gonna look at the trainers and anything of the type(s) of the deck they're running, to see if there's anything of use. --- Help control the pet population. First edition with no shadows, then after they printed the rest of the cards that were premade with no shadows without the stamp for first edition. That's, honestly, my primary motivation for collecting cards. I avoid buying individual cards, I like trying to complete the set through boosters/random chance. It's engaging. EDIT: I created the binders recently, though. I have another binder back from years ago with a lot of Set 1 stuff. I keep that separate, I don't want to use them for the other binders, part because they're worth more, and part because it feels like cheating, since back then, there were only so many cards.
