Those are some very stupid nerfs tbqh, but Invisible Woman is going right in my C3 deck

Oh yay, I just opened Negasonic today and built a deck around her, so that plus one strength will really help this card that serves to destroy itself

They stated the Black Bolt/Stature deck was statistically as strong as Thanos and Shuri were pre-nerfs, so they needed changes. Anecdotally, even after High Evo came out I was still just matching against Black Bolt/Stature players so I don't mind the nerfs

Also an implication that some future card releases will be complimenting Stature as well so the nerf is also a bit preemptive for that

What the fuck I just started using Black Bolt and Stature. I have literally never seen anyone use either of them in a deck before which was the whole reason I wanted to try to work them into a deck!

These OTA nerfs are silly because they feel like they're always too late. Everyone and their mother was playing Black Bolt+Stature a few weeks ago but I haven't seen it very much lately.

I do think with High Evo coming out and being such a huge change to the meta they should have held off on at least one of the two nerfs and see how the deck performs with all the High Evo but eh

Playing against High Evo decks sucks btw. Not a fun experience. Not Galactus levels of not a fun experience, but it's enough of one.

Question: if you copy a High Evo affected card with Leader, if you dont have High Evo in your deck, its not evolved, right?

Same for White Queen?

High Evo changes the cards at the beginning so anything that copies them gets those abilities too

High Evo deck so far is easy wins, but Im only in 40s tier

Yeah right after I posted that, someone did it to me with White Queen and got my evolved Hulk

I was thinking you might really get lucky and fuck someone over by stealing their High Evo with Cable but nope

Speaking of though High Evo is a card I basically never see played even when I run into another High Evo deck. He basically just exists to make the other cards good and isnt worth playing I guess unless you dont draw Thing or something

Good riddance to the first two but I liked Milano

I have 5900 tokens it sucks that I might miss out on HE by 100 tokens

I feel like youll probably be able to earn 100 Tokens within a week

So potentially stupid question here, but if you get to play High Evo Hulk early and play Mystique after him does she get all the unspent energy from the start of the match added to her power too or just starting from that turn? Curious how she would work with him

Ongoing is all retroactive, it just looks at how many turns you've had unspent energy and adds that number to the card.

Same if you play Morbius and copy him with Mystique, she'll be identical to him.

I would assume she gets the same bonus Hulk does. Ongoing tends to have memory. Like Knull for example doesn't start counting when you play him it remembers the whole game and Mystique will do the same.

It's not all that great for Mystique cause she has no base power though. Dino Mystique, Ronan Mystique and Knull Mystique will all be higher with less work.

Nice to know though shell rarely get to copy Hulk anyways. Heres my current High Evo deck

Thing/High Evo
Abomination
Hulk/She-Hulk

Not sure if this is ideal, but Cage helps against other HE players and Scorpion is good for lowering the power of an entire hand.

I love that a guy plays Lizard on 2 and snaps and I just have to retreat because I know he's going to Wave into Galactus or Electro into Doc Oc into Galactus and I can't win.

I hope they nerf that card into oblivion.

You gain around 1000-1500 tokens a week naturally before completing pool 3. Also there's Token Tuesday.

Why retreat when you can play your Debrii on Lizard, which you definitely have in your deck since it 100% counters the card you're so salty about?

I actually typed and deleted that I shouldn't have to play Debrii and run an 11 card deck to counter 1 deck.

I figured that was obvious I guess.

I'm curious as to how many tech cards you're running in your deck. Because you absolutely should be running 2-3 tech cards in your deck purely to deal with matchups.

Galactus is actually one of the nicer match ups since so many other tech options work against him.

Wait why does Lizard mean Galactus?

Yeah, most Galactus decks don't run Lizard iirc, at least not anymore. More likely it was a Sandman or Sera player.

Turn 2 snaps are still awful but it's fun to see what happens afterward and (often) expose them for the clowns they are

Lizard is pretty much only played in Galactus nowadays because you're trying to get priority on turn 4 to play your Galactus without being countered by your opponent.

Sure it could have been a Sauron deck or something but 90% of the time I see Lizard or Yondu it's going to be Galactus.

The amount of tech I'm running depends on the decks I'm playing. But even without tech I can sometimes win difficult matchups. Galactus games are either you have the tech in hand on turn 3 (or 4 with priority) or you lose.

If you don't manage to get the counter to Galactus then on turn 5 they play Spider-Man and you lose because you have to skip turn 5 to get priority on turn 6 for a potential Shang-Chi or Enchantress. And now people are just running 8 power cards to get around that too so you can't even Shang-Chi to counter on turn 6 either because it's adaptable.

So yes, if I see Lizard on 2 and someone snaps I'm out.

Yondu / Wolverine would make me think Galactus more than Lizard

Lizard could mean freakin anything. Its just a good card

BTW I love the idea of fake Galactus decks that just represent him without having him to get people like skullbone to retreat early

And then if they stick around, instead of Galactus you play Orka

I'd imagine most 'Good cards X deck's run Lizard

with the Aero nerf and Cosmo currently not being used as much (lot of ongoing decks are thriving more than on reveal) Galactus decks have been able to get away with just having Yondu/Wolverine and not worrying about priority, so yeah Lizard alone wouldn't inherently make me think Galactus right now. probably electro/sandman ramp but they also might have just had whatever combo their deck wants and Lizard is just generically good

How? 2-3 tech cards is normal and 4 is not unreasonable in this game.

There's a ton of tech cards that can counter Galactus too, it's just rare that there's a card with a literal 100% success rate against an annoying opponent.

My hand / draw / board state has to be complete ass for me to retreat before T5/6. If someone snaps T1-3 I'm always sticking it out.

I mean I guess because they are the better cards for their cost and can be played in isolation regardless of deck. But I dunno, I don't label them. I generally always build my own decks anyway and am only aware of the term through looking up what other people are playing

Okay I probably could have stuck it out one more turn for the inevitable Wave to lose 2 cubes instead of 1 cube, but that's not really the point I was trying to make.

The threat of Galactus has such a negative impact on the meta that you could bully people out of games by playing Yondu on turn 1 and snapping. You guys don't see Lizard as a Galactus card but I do and I pretty much only see him in Galactus decks anymore.

But whatever, I've just accepted that I have to pay the Galactus tax and give up 1 or 2 cubes every 10 games because I'm not playing Debrii in my deck. He's getting nerfed soon anyway so who cares what we all think.

There are so many cards that counter Galactus. You don't even need to use Debrii. That's just the easy one to slot.

Just got rekt by a Galactus who played Destroyer on 4 so I thought they were going for an alternate win, but then did Galactus on 5. Could've been an easy 4 cubes if I held back my cards.

That's quite the statement to make based on one retreat I did but okay. I'm not annoyed or tilted, I hopped back into another game after quitting that Lizard one.

I'm currently sitting at rank 95 so I'm doing fine right now, Galactus seems to be quite the hair trigger for people in this topic for some reason.

when you wait 5 minutes for all the odin triggers and lose to topdecked Luke cage with 0 cards in hand lmfao

and 5 minutes later my game is still stuck on that screen lmao

I mean, topdecking isn't nearly as lucky in a game where you have a 75% chance to draw any given card

Slightly lower this game as i gave him one extra draw (magik) but denied one with black widow and he lost out on a second by putting Thors hammer in his deck and drawing it naturally

im already infinite so the cubes dont matter, i just thought it was funny to see it go from -50 in every lane to me losing off of one card

certainly a bold choice to try running wong hazmat when everyone and their mother is running luke cage but i guess thats a perk of being infinite
