Lost around 20 cubes in a row. Saturday morning players are sweaty for sure.

Also I don't think I've won again a single monkey deck. That's an insta retreat for me when they snap now.

One of the most satisfying matches Ive ever had.

Dude spammed Thanos and Snap? nonstop the entirety of turn 5, but little did he know I Mantisd his Luke Cage, so I did. As soon as I snapped he Ms Marveled, and then when Luke flipped as my second to last card I fist bumped and he never emoted again.

Absolutely obliterated.

Kept losing cubes so I switched to my nasty Wong deck and I'm climbing again

I guess it feels less bad when everyone else is playing nasty decks

Almost every match Im facing High Evo decks

I played a High Evo + Thanos deck last night that was extremely annoying. Made me realize more than ever how OP the stones are at 1 energy.

Anyone else feel like High Evo Cyclops isnt too amazing? Earlier I mentioned he would be one of the possible cards nerfed some after the bigger stuff like Hulk, but Im finding it super rare to have any spare energy after playing him for him to do anything. Turn 4-6 is pretty much always used for playing Thing/Hulk and something else like She-Hulk or Abomination if you couldnt lower power enough first or they had Cage on the field.

I actually like High Evo as a Quicksilver effect. I do think that could help.

Honestly what I'd probably do is

High Evolutionary
2/1
At the start of the game, unlock the secret powers of your cards with no abilities
Ongoing: Enhance the secret powers unlocked by High Evolutionary.

And then nerf a few of them a bit, let his ongoing put them at their current levels, buff the weaker ones maybe. You could also combine this with the Quicksilver effect.

Hulk Abomination Thing and Wasp are the ones I feel are a bit much. The others feel ok imo. If you made it so you had to play High Evolutionary to put them at their current levels it'd probably be fine.

But yeah to me he's far more annoying than Galactus ever was. Just an annoying card to face at the moment and he's everywhere.

Living Tribunal comes out tonight

Hard to imagine its worth 6k Tokens to just basically play a role as an alternate win condition, plus everyone saved up for High Evo, so I dont expect to see much of it for awhile

Yeah Living Tribunal looks a little too weak to see much play. Theorycrafting seems to put him at about Omega Red level which is not great.

Been stuck at rank 95 all week, doubt I'll be able to push to infinite. Every game is either Galactus or High Evolutionary right now which is getting pretty stale.

I think LT is an interesting Series 3 card basically

The problem with Living Tribunal is I have trouble seeing a reason it beats Galactus most of the time in terms of function.

Would be more interesting if it cost less.

I was thinking LT makes a lot of sense in Shuri decks, but I suppose it's really weak to give up a whole 6 drop

Like real talk I don't see why it can't be like a 2/2 with that effect. You would ideally save it till turn 6 to surprise people I think but at least you'd have some meat.

Giving up your turn 6 just to spread the lanes just doesn't seem worth it.

Any use I can think of probably does better with Doctor Doom

That'd even support a potential archetype with t4 wong t5 mystique t6 BP Tribunal for 20 or 21 power per lane.

Still not reliable but it's a start.

living tribunal seems pretty bad to me

you're essentially wasting 1/3rd of your total power in a lane you intend to lose and you're playing against mostly decks that aren't trying to do that

maybe some potential in a storm / professor x style lockdown deck where you can surprise boost 2 locked down lanes on turn 6 if you need to but in most cases i think it's just going to be weaker than a deck that just tries to win 2 lanes normally

Just got Dazzler from a Reserve. Not sure how to feel about that

I might actually get the tier 60 Variant for the first time, but uh I prefer staying lower tier. Already running into dumb Wave, Galactus, Spider-Man & Shang-Chi garbage

Apparently LTs effect is active even if you play him into Dark Dimension or Invisible Woman, which is one of the few scenarios where it could possibly work as a strategy. But I assume this is a bug

It could be seen as a sort of Ongoing version of Zola

I've been getting solid results from Dazzler in my Patriot/Ultron deck. Kind of surprised but she's come out clutch!

That sounds like it could be a fun silly deck.

Also I've been trying to make a Dazzler + Shanna deck work and I haven't been able to activate Dazzler 1 time in about 20 games lol. It's a really bad deck.

And I'm starting to run into decks that play Wave on 3 so you expect Galactus and then they play Prof X in a lane instead. I don't know if they have Galactus too or if its a counter deck to anti-Galactus decks (anti anti-Galactus?) but that's a fun deck to throw into the meta.

So now I'm losing to Galactus decks, HE decks, and Galactus bait decks.

That would be so fantastic if LT was lower cost by default and you didn't have to try cheat out the strategy in some way

Well being this high now I wouldnt mind Darkhawk being swapped from enemy deck to enemy hand since theres little you can do against having your deck bloated by rocks especially when one is a location that does it by default.

That card already exists though, Ronan.

They can come up with something else then til Anti-Ongoing has more options? The few stuff that exists now is just too easy to shut down by Cosmo or even other locations getting in your way sadly. Alternatively I could just never climb to this tier again and never have to see shit so annoying to play against so often lol

Rogue is still super effective against Ongoing. It's honestly rare to get a Cosmo out on your Darkhawk.

Skrull is a cool non-reveal option that's been getting stronger recently too.

I like Rogue, but it always feels like a struggle to use her efficiently and she can only stop a single Ongoing ability which sometimes isnt helpful if theyre using several. If there was a Cosmo equivalent for Anti-Ongoing I guarantee you it would be in the top 5-10 most played cards very quickly

But yeah I dont think Ill bother to climb again. Just today Ive literally seen Darkhawk, Valkyrie and Cerebro played more than the entire time Ive ever played this game and surely its because HE is all the rage and typically has no answer to any of that. I even tried to play smart and fuck up a Cerebro with power lowering only for the guy to drop Luke Cage turn 6 :(

I'd kill to be facing off against those decks instead of HE all day. If I've played 30 games today then 25 were HE, no exaggeration.

I've tried so many different decks and I just can't find anything that counters the HE deck.

When I get Zabu I do want to try Enchantress to have a stronger 3-cost anti-ongoing instead. But I still find the single-target steal really strong for Darkhawk/Dino decks, since often they go for Mystique, so you can nullify both. And the stolen power really helps, not only with Darkhawk/Dino but it can also beat Knull + Death where Enchantress cannot.

My HE deck has been getting countered pretty easily now by the stuff Im complaining about. My HE deck has no answer to Ongoing and even when I smartly predict a Galactus theres fuck all I can do when I get Spider-Mand turn 5. Some of these cards just make others so much more annoying its unfair my poor boy Lockjaw got slaughtered while some of this crap is everywhere and annoying to face

I think the dumbest thing about all these is that you don't even have to have the card on the field for all this nonsense. Make it an ongoing ability you cowards, or heck even on reveal. Make them play the goddamn HE card.

Maybe HE should lower the power of cards he's changing by 2 or something. There's just no downside to running that HE package in decks right now.

I just had a game where they played 5 cards and I had piled a bunch of cards into one location and they won with a single 22 power Hulk card on the final turn.

Unless they have turn priority and I have Shang Chi, what the hell am I supposed to do with a 22 power Hulk on last turn?

I didn't bother making a sera control deck until HE came out but now it feels quite necessary to have

At least you have to do something to get a 40 power Knull for the rest of the game. You literally do nothing and get a monster Hulk card.

Hulk has counters, but mostly feels OP with that ability because of how weak the anti-Ongoing counters to it are imo. Better to try and control the lane with garbage, Goose or Juggernaut/Aero than just make Hulk go back to a 6/12. Shang-Chi can be solid too since I havent seen a single HE deck run Armor or anything to stop him

he'd still be 13 power in that case since Valkyire (and shadow king) don't affect ongoing abilities
