Did the event. The Utopia deck is a fun little low power, starter-deck-esque thing that actually lets you play its intended mechanic even if it's not very good.

Had abysmal luck trying to get the synchro deck to do anything, but one of my opponents was able to put up a pretty ferocious board with it, if only I hadn't turned Utopia Ray-V into a mini towers with those ZW cards. Bacon Saver literally saved my bacon that duel. >_>

Haven't tried the Hero deck and I have no desire to lol

My pack gave me a royal Stella for my Exosister deck, which is nice. Sophie's my favorite of the main deck sisters, but she's not in the Spright pack, and beggars shouldn't be choosers anyway.

I seriously don't understand. How are you suppose to get 2 synchro monsters with a tuner synchro on the field with this shit deck if there is no negate/protection?

And also majestic dragon itself is so outdated. Arrival of light and converging wills dragon is the go to combo for summoning mejestic

Yeah Majestic requires a Stardust, a lvl 1 monster without normal, a Majestic Dragon with normal, without any modern Stardust support, that is. It also only lasts on the field for one turn, and your fucking turn at that, which makes his one omni so silly.

But... I read the text, and it seems to imply that if Stardust Dragon is no longer in your grave (needless thought since the constructed deck sucks balls and lacks that option as far as I can tell), then Majestic Star Dragon can no longer activate its mandatory effect. It doesn't say anything "you can target 1 "stardust";" or "target up to 1 "stardust";" or anything like that, which implies that the cost must be paid exactly, which cannot happen if Stardust Dragon is no longer in the GY, which means the mandatory effect does not go off. Yet I'm reading that rulings say otherwise and flat out defy the card text.

Alright, did more digging. I guess I never knew that mandatory effects go off regardless of if the cost is paid. So this is a weird case where it's the cost that makes a part of the effect fizzle even if the cost is written to be mandatory. Basically if you failed to target, then the summon target part of Majestic's return effect fizzles, not the entire effect. That's so dumb and yeah this monster sucks ass

I'm a bit confused and would want to test on MD one day, yet it's a UR so that day will probably never come.

Quasar on the other hand, I have to believe it's basically impossible. You need Junk Warrior and... oh ok you need a lvl 6 monster on the board. Then you need Formula Synchron in the GY, and use Descending Lost Star in order to revive Formula Synchron as a lvl 1.

Lvl 1 + 5 + 6 = 12 = Quasar

Huh, that is weird about the mandatory effect. Sounds like one of those "because Konami said so" rulings, like how Kaiju Slumber works even if a kaiju is on the field, or how Warrior of Atlantis can search a card that technically doesn't exist

Yeah I guess they did it so that mandatory effects truly are mandatory. Mandatory effects aren't actually all that common after all, and majority of them are usually like return from the field after x or return this to the hand/deck after x. Kinda lame, and it's not always obvious when something is mandatory, so I feel like the diction needs to change.

Target up to 1 "Stardust Dragon" would just make it completely unambiguous

Has the solo gate AI always been this trash? I have no idea how to pilot Rikka and I'm still clowning on it.

Also...Rikka is kinda fun. I really don't need to pull for more random archetypes but both this and the Myutant gate were kinda tempting >_>

I'm considering burning through N/R materials to make every N/R card in all of my decks glossy. I've already done it for my favorite decks (Sky Strikers on my main account, Eldlich on my side account, Kozmo on both accounts) so now I might go all the way and do it for all of them.

If only N/R cards could be royal...

I actually like their respective playstyles >_> Pure Rikka feels like a fun little mid-range thing what with Queen and the new field spell effectively being an in-archetype Lair of Darkness.

I really got nothing to pull for a while anyway. Main things on my radar are Dracoslayers (which are a minimum of 2 months away, maybe more if Konami wants to rush out Bystials.) and Chaos (which is maybe half a year away). But I've only got 2000 gems and don't like pulling unless I've got 6-8000, so I'll see how I feel in a few weeks lol.

They apparently got to Diamond V with it, which is kinda astounding considering they're running 4 bricks, 3 spells that conflict with Martha, and 3 copies of a trap that (in the context of this specific mash-up) is just a much worse Vadis.

Just had the closest duel against some Branded Shadoll thing. They played through six banishes and two Necrovalleys and still almost had me.

I had to heart-of-the-cards my last draw or risk getting into the draw/pass minigame after exausting all my other boss monsters. Luckily I drew what I needed to win that turn, but then my Switch gave me the "the console will go to sleep soon" warning as I entered my main phase. >_______>

Yugipedia is fucking dead. That's a shame, I liked that site better than the Yu-Gi-Oh Fandom Wiki for looking up cards, info, and especially card rulings.

Thats a fucking blow. Honestly cant stand the fandom wiki, though it is good for looking up searchers.

Guess I'll just stick to the English card database unless I specifically want to look something up from the OCG. Hope they can get back up eventually >_>

Reddit answers most of the ruling stuff if you don't want fandom. We could probably answer too, probably. Also surprisingly, Konami does have their own site if just for the purpose of looking up cards and related cards.

Decided to get in some much needed practice with my Spright deck since it's been collecting dust since I crafted it. Learned that I really don't know what I'm supposed to be doing with the TriBrigade variant lol. I just want to summon Birdman :(.

Elf is really nice in PendMages though, letting me recycle Electrumite. But I've been giving so much attention to Zombies and Exosisters that I'm so rusty piloting it lol

Yeah I summoned Shooting Star once, and it basically did guarantee the win. But it is possible to summon Quasar. It's just impossible to do so without Descending Lost Star and approximately 3-4 turns?

They're pre-hitting 3 of the 4 Ishizu cards coming in the next pack with semi-limits even though they're coming before Tearlaments. In the current OCG banlist, 2 of these are already at 1 while the other mentioned (and the 4th Ishizu card not mentioned here) is still at 3, while in the TCG all 4 of them are limited to 1. Clearly Konami already knows how much of a problem these cards are, and I could even see them limiting these even further right before Tearlaments come to the game. Also, one of them is confirmed to be a UR, but no word on the rarities of the other 3.

So are those cards coming in their own set thing, or are they adding the actual set they were a part of? I just want the new amazoness support man

We have no fucking idea what Konami are doing. In real life, the Ishizu cards came a few months after Tearlaments in both the OCG and TCG, but in MD, they're coming first. It'll be interesting to see what these Ishizu cards actually do for other decks besides making Tearlaments into one of the most broken and overpowered decks in the history of the game.

Admittedly I'm impressed. They clearly (at least I think so) planned ahead so their last (or 2nd to last) search was Block Dragon which, due to Konami bullshit, has enough ATK to crash Masquerade while being incredibly easy to summon.

TIL even if a monster is Called by beforehand, it doesn't prevent an inherent special summon.
e.g. opponent Called by my AW Lu Feng, I searched another, and I can still ss it since its ss is not an effect (although since it is Called by, its effect is negated the moment it hits the field).

Also yesterday I also learned (read: read) that AW Lu Feng non-targeting pop is soft OPT and you can ss as many Lu Feng as you can in one turn if you somehow able to.
