I just had a hilarious duel against a Mathmech player. He forced me to go first (which pure Sky Strikers suck at doing) and I passed with just Shizuku and Droplet, but he bricked so he didn't do much on turn 2 aside from destroy my Droplet and banish Raye with Called By. On turn 3 all I did was poke him with Hayate (to dump another Raye) and then passed with just Shizuku and Linkage. On turn 4, he finally drew Circular, so he comboed off and tried to pull a double Accesscode (AKA Accesscode double attack with Update Jammer) me, but I used Linkage to fast-swap to Kaina to prevent his Accesscode from attacking that turn. On turn 5, I used Widow Anchor to steal his Accesscode and then also used Shark Cannon to steal his Transcode from the GY to make my own Accesscode. So in the end, I pulled a double Accesscode on him, just in a different way. Sadly, he left before I could clear his field and attack for game. --- https://i.imgur.com/PmF1p9q.jpg ... My second anniversary ur is Photon Lord, which...I guess is okay? Technically a generic rank 8, might throw it into zombies as a flex spot. Really wish I could just get a pendulum card but oh well lol. Odd-Eyes Seer is a good card. Level 6 means it's easier to go into Savage Dragon, which I like better than Baronne. Also love comboing it with Revolution Dragon. Search and set Arc Pendulum. Activate Seer, destroying itself to get back Revolution for a second search and proccing ArcPend's summon. I somehow got the same anniversary royal rares on both of my accounts: Elemental Hero Sunrise and Cynet Mining. Sunrise is completely useless, and Cynet Mining is mostly useless because it's easily acquired from the Salamangreat structure deck, but I can at least put the royal one in my Marincess deck on my side account. Spright will definitely be the better investment in terms of competitive viability. Though personally I end up crafting most of my URs anyway. Had to craft all 3 Martha and a Magnifica lol. Then I decided to craft 2 Gigantics, 2 Smashers, and 1 Elf. For a total of 9 fucking crafts lol. Big problem with Exosisters is that they've got really nasty offensive capability now, but no protection. In Bo3 they'd probably be better since you can side in/out as needed. I've resorted to putting in 3 Solemn Judgments just so I don't fucking die to board wipes. Also LiveTwinSprights are popular and they run kaijus which turn off Returnia since you can only use it if "all" your monsters are Exosisters. Every time I play another TCG, I feel like there's nothing remotely close to the most complex a YGO thing can get in terms of lawyer-level technicalities. Even though a lot of TCGs do their own thing and have a lot of cool strats or gameplay, YGO's the only one where like either you know or you just go "uh... what?" I haven't played enough of MTG to know, but generally what I hear is like it's the complexity of YGO but the duels are longer. Got all the gem rewards from the event with Yuya and Harpies. Lot of fun though, I'll probably keep playing it to do my dailies. >___> Last match was against Neos and was a lot of fun. Finished with a big blowout turn where he summoned Rainbow Neos, I defend with Hysteric Party and Icarus Attack, he defends with a protection gy effect and wipes my board, but was just short of finishing my LP. My loaner deck has such a bad match up against the DM structure, which made me tech in 2 Super Poly and some nasty targets for em. Honestly I got off Nimble Sunfish's effect so many times, it's almost painful. All of these loaner decks rely heavily on battle phase so I had to also shove in a few more Nimbles I also have an alt win con, which is Arrival @Ignister but... he... well I have yet to get over 3k on him. It's incredibly jank in the way I end up summoning him Also Windwitch opening combo has landed me with what amounts to an auto-win against every loaner deck, which is an indestructible Crystal Wing.
