Dkayed has been heavily hinting that Tearlaments and Ishizu are coming quickly. And he has been pretty spot on before. Just being doing a bunch of teases though saying it will happen in the next month or two. Master Duel is about to pop off in a whole new way.

In other news, took Speedroid/Windwitch to ranked and got to watch an Eldlich player lose to themselves.They bait Crystal Wing's negate with an Eldlich's hand effect, then summon their second Eldlich from the grave and try to run it over, not reading Crystal Wing's second effect. After I played through two solemns, they didn't have enough life points to survive that blunder >__>

Honestly this deck is fun enough I'm debating whether or not to craft Crystal Clear Wing and the motorcycle UR.

If these leaks turn out to be true, getting the Ishizu cards before Tearlaments is actually terrifying. This basically means that we'll go straight from one Tier 0 deck to another once Tears do show up, without that period of both of them being at a similar power level, and I don't see Konami pre-hitting Tears nearly enough to prevent that from happening. The only bright side of this is finally seeing the potential of what the Ishizu cards can do for other decks, because in the OCG/TCG no one really bothered exploring other options at the time since Ishizu Tear was just so obvious and so far above everything else. I don't see them making anything else besides Tears that good though.

Plus this delays Bystials for a bit longer. Fuck you, Bystials.

God yes. Been playing Spright since August in TCG. I've tried every variant but took Runivk Spright to regionals in September and went X-3 after 9 rounds.

Windwitch is self sufficient in every Wind based deck except in Floos which lock special summon. But Speedroids are basically gonna be maxed out in power lvl for the next few years or whenever they decide to do the next big nostaglia set

In my opinion... it's mid to bad. They obviously went with the lame fusion mechanic, though one thing is that all the Jins are now able to be placed on the S/T zone, which is something that I wanted. Though personally I wanted more of the maze like mechanic, like them moving around or something. The duo fusion is decent as they're double S/T neg. Sadly GG himself is kinda shit. Targeting protection? Granted, targetting neg and destroy and thrice at that is better than the usual targeting protection. But it's still bad overall. Riryoku does say half your opponent's LP, which is pretty funny. Shockingly, only one of them plays with the column...

Pretty much on the Desperado Barrel Dragon lvl of support, but it's weak by Duel Links standards now so oh well

Contact fusions were ok but they should've just retrained the pieces too. Make them similar to abc. Or make them like little Drulers where you can discard them to add a different piece to hand and when they're in the grave you can banish one to summon another piece. HOPT on all woth a "You can only summon 'Gate Guardian' monsters from the ED for the rest of this turn.

Pulled a rare mirrorjade from Photon hypernova the other day

Yeah that Gate Guardian stuff is mid as hell. I like the idea of cheating the guardians into the ST zone to be used for contact fusion though. The mechanic itself seems fun, shame the payoff is so lackluster.

Though the Jirai Gumo retrain is neat. Generic non-targeting destruction. Wonder if it could find some niche use in trap decks.

The new gate guardian support is fuckin awesome, I love it so much

So Windwitch doesn't make Harpies significantly better but it does give their board some durability. Currently running it in a janky synchro build despite the fact my generic synchro toolbox is woefully incomplete.

Next jank build I gotta try: Lightsworn Punk. And by Lightsworn Punk I mean "abuse the Deer Note combo to mill 9 cards in this already powercrept mill deck that's about to be powercrept even harder by the cute Egyptian waifu". But The potential to grab Judgment Dragon and make it live without using my normal is too good to pass up.

I'm just one 'destroy a card' away and this fucker had the gall to surrender after fumbling their own dragon link deck and doing a Levianeer pass (???) wtf at least let me get the attack with my Borrelsword.

On another note, I got Xyz Festival 2023 Title lol, my first ever title. That 11k medals requirement does wonders.

On another 'nother note, I met a SPYRAL player...who surrendered after doing their combos....???

Good job on the title. I just dont have the patience for that kinda stuff.

SPYRAL is very much a deck that can extend as nauseam but if you fuck up one part of it then your board is significantly weaker. or maybe they dun goofed and had to leave

Well, at Gold I and events is a good place to do your dailies without risking yourself to rank up.

Oh, and it looks like those "Tryout Duels" are going to be a preconstructed event? Or at least the first one is. Looks like there will be 3 of them throughout the month. Either way, I've been waiting for something like this for a while, looks like a lot of fun.

Curious how the rewards will be balanced considering we're getting three mini events plus the Duelist Cup this month.

New season started. First duel was against Trickstars. Managed to win, but they were a hair's breadth from burning me to death.

Still Dark Magician. I'm not trying to go to diamond or anything, I'm not that good and probably never will be, but its fun when I can actually use it. Plus, like I said, it does have the power to come from behind!

Used to run Skill Drain but I very much rely on monster effects. Instead I use Secret Village of the Spellcasters. Double-edged sword but it has straight won me a few duels. As for wipes, just Dark Burning Magic. Yes it needs Dark Magician Girl too but I'd rather destroy everything.

What is the minimum amount of Therion cards you need in the deck to fit in with P.U.N.K?

Therion Regulus has such a cool pose when summoned.

I saw a Luke Von Karma vid about Reprodocus turning Cyber Stein into psychic type then equips a card lets psychic mons ignore the LP cost.

The player then used Stein's effect multiple times to put a degenerate board.

Pretty funny.

Saw the new support they received recently and am pretty hyped. Splash in the scrap engine but now with this new support a full Dino deck may be just as good now.

I seem to have the opposite experience compared to everyone else. Gold is absolute shit, but platinum is somewhat playable.

Pure PUNK isn't that strong imo, which is why it's often mixed. I'd still call it an engine.

Well Gate Guardian, as it turns out, with the right type of build, is actually a pretty damn strong deck. I'm not sure how adept it is at playing through a billion negates, and it wants Nibiru as basically the main answer against Kashtira, which is a huge point against it as it needs both the mon and S/T zones

I boot up the game for the daily login gems, but I don't play any games for the first 2 days. Then on day 3, once I have all 9 daily missions sitting in my list, that's when I start playing for the month, and I only redeem the 3 easiest missions each day so those 3 constantly refresh and I don't waste time doing more annoying ones. I feel like taking that 2 day break away from the game each month helps keep me from getting burned out, plus what I mentioned about manipulating the daily missions to redo the same 3 easy ones makes doing dailies less stressful.

This seems really smart to be honest. Its hot sweat first days of the month anyway. Keep up the good work!

I usually just turbo through silver on the first day of the season because the format is meta godstomp vs 54 card "i think this how deckbuilding works" piles. Just not fun to stay in for any length of time.

I dont deliberately set aside specific times to accumulate dailies, but I do just let them pile up if Im not feeling it a particular day.

Meanwhile Utopia deck is like at least 5 times better than the rest of the decks. Haha... why does Utopia get the crazy ZW stuff that released like 3-5 years after 5D's? Meanwhile Synchrons don't have like... any of the good cards

Yep, I literally won 3 in a row on turn 3 with Utopia. Meanwhile it took me 20+ turns just for the guy to draw every out in his deck. I actually summoned Shooting Star Dragon once. Aren't you happy for me?
