Havent gone too deep, just playing a few games here and there, but Im enjoying it. Really like how quick the games are, makes it very easy to get in and out.

I'm totally addicted to it. I do think it'll lose some steam eventually when I unlock all the cards but who knows when that happens. I've only got 170 collector level and apparently it doesn't happen till 3000. And then of course they probably are adding cards as I go.

I kinda wish there was a way to see variants from the card. Like I kinda don't want to waste levels on a card where I'll just use a variant but I guess I'll need to start leveling cards that I don't use to gain levels eventually.

Im still trying to avoid it because I dont need a new mobile game addiction.

I found a website that has card descriptions and pictures of most variants. Its probably not totally complete, and seems to have some misplaced images, but it might help.

That's super neat. I do like the surprise of variants though. I think I'll just use that to spoil myself if a variant I like pops up.

Gold seems kinda rare so I don't want to blow a bunch of gold on a variant for a character that has a second variant I like better. I can be okay with spending the cubes since that gives collector level, but not gold.

I was sure it would lose its luster real fast, but so far it has not

Scarlet Witch is the only card I have in every deck right now because fucking with terrains is the best.

I'm absolutely obsessed with it. Had a good streak going when I started but I've kinda been stuck at the mid-50s for a bit now. Probably got too used to the pool 1 cards and need to shift gears.

Yeah I do that a lot too.

My current main deck doesn't even have a 6 drop.

I either use Dr Strange or Gamora/Iron Man on turn 6 (Gamora can be a Hulk as a 5 drop if I play her on a location that they deploy on), or a 6 drop stolen from them via White Queen. Actually slotting a real 6 doesn't seem worth it right now.

I've noticed if I am using a six drop its because I've already won, though Odin is pretty good for comebacks.

I use Spectrum in my ongoing deck

she definitely pushes me past the finish line pretty often

but Im only rank 36, it may not hold up much longer

How long do you have to play before you get most of the cards? I played for like 30mins to an hour and then stopped because everyone had exactly the same cards and deck. I don't want to spend like 40 hours having to get all the cards just so I can make the deck I want v_v

I'm enjoying the game, but deckbuilding does feel pretty limited so far. Might just be bad luck on my part though, I keep pulling synergy cards without the effects that synergize with them. Bunch of benefits for moving cards around, with nightcrawler being the only thing I have that can move.

I'm collector level 358 and rank 65 lol. not sure how long i'm going to last playing at this rate but i'm addicted to the bluffing cube mechanic at the moment

once you hit collector lvl 214 that makes the end of "pool 1" cards and you start getting "pool 2 cards" after. which is kind of annoying that it might take you hundreds more levels to get the cards you actually want for your archetype, but my 1 cost zoo deck with ongoing buff cards (kazar, blue marvel, onslaught) is kind of flatlining here so i may need to either get some new cards or try something else.

in pool 1 there's iron fist, dr. strange, and heimdall, but the pool 2 stuff for the movement deck looks way stronger

america chavez is a pretty solid 6 drop for decks that otherwise don't play one because she can never clog your hand beforehand. otherwise you should only play a 6 drop if it's a cap for your archetype (on reveal / ongoing / discard)

Yeah I used to use America Chavez but found out I just wasn't playing her on turn 6 basically ever once I had White Queen. Their 6 drop tended to be better even if it didn't fit my archetype perfectly. (or Iron Man/Gamora)

Iron Man is basically a 6 drop you can use a 1 drop with anyway if you play him at the right location (and if you don't have the right location you've probably already retreated)

Of course I'm the reverse of the MoogleKupo problem-- I had Wolverine and a bunch of discard stuff and was waiting for Apocalypse. Just got him so now I'm playing that deck a bit. Just played a 16 strength Apocalypse to win what a beast.

I could see white queen -> opponent's 6 drop working but not in the 1 drop flood deck i'm running which needs kazar on 4. although ironically that doesn't work against opponent's playing america chavez where you'll get like their 5 drop if you're lucky and a random low cost card otherwise

unfortunately i've been running into people playing killmonger now (kills all 1 drops) so i may need to switch out of that archetype as more and more people get that card at higher collection levels

Game might not be for you, you unlock cards in a random order via collector level, which you get by upgrading cards.

I am about 100-ish rn and I've hit the point where I'm p low on credits and starting to get some stuff that needs to be upgraded but can't because of lack of credits. Seems like most other mobile games where once you get through the initial gamut of stuff where it showers you with things, after that it's p slow going.

Not at all. This is a simple 12-card deck strategy game.

It's been out since July so it's not too hard to be there at all really if you got in early and just didn't bring it up on b8.

Me I'm lvl 203 rank 43 and have only been playing a few days now. So yeah definitely plausible to get that without too much time.

I mostly play to finish my dailies when they pop up and I'm doing pretty good. I've been stuck in the 34-37 rank range though and I think I need to change up my deck since it's a bit basic.

I've been playing since July and my collection level is 2882. Only missing about 4 or 5 cards now.

This has been my go to for slow days at work for the last week

Although I was definitely riding the high of winning constantly at first and now as it gets more complicated I'm losing way more

I hung out in pool 1 to get up to the 40s and finally decided I wanted to start getting some new cards

I really love early snap wins. First round, I played Ant-Man, my opponent played nothing. Then, Bar Sinister was revealed and I immediately snapped and they retreated. Stand in fear of the Mighty Ant-Man (...and implicit Nightcrawler shenanigans)!

Snap is fun

I downloaded it and tried it out.

Its fun, but I am getting WB Smashbrothers vibes from it where I don't think its deep or interesting enough to play long term.

I might retire after starting off 9-0 or something haha

I actually am a big fan of Apocalypse from the old X-Men cartoons if you didn't gather lol-- also an excuse to use Blade and Sif is always nice.

I'm really enjoying it so far, and I tend to dislike (but not hate) card games.

It's simple enough for me to latch onto.

Also no one knows how to play until like rank 30 just keep that in mind plum when assessing depth. There is definitely more to it than first appears. Just takes a while to actually get there (aggressively snapping makes it fairly quick though)

It might just not be for me.

I just flew back from playing magic in vegas where I had a 10 minute long conversation about one specific turn of one specific game with my opponent regarding if my opponent should have played around me having one specific card he knew I had in my deck after I chose not to use it at an obvious moment because I knew it was especially good in other situations. (Or in other words, assume that I could still have the card in hand even though I didn't fire it off in advantageous situation)

I probably just prefer more complicated card games.

Eh I played a lot of combo decks in mtg too

I'm just saying despite the rules being simple there is a deceptive amount of complexity in it.

It's not going to reach mtg levels obviously but there are a lot of interesting card interactions based on how games unfold (orders played, locations played, etc etc) which adds a lot to depth. Much more than you'd expect with "12 card deck" (required highlander does help this though) and looking at the early unlock cards.

Not trying to be a pusher just that yeah it takes a bit of playing to really assess it from a complexity standpoint. If you like the core mechanics and the flavor/art/style you might come around on it even if it feels too simplistic to start.

I hate the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur decks so much.

The best part is the bluffing aspect imo. You can steal wins by snapping strategically which has been a ton of fun

I do think this game is deeper than it appears, but it's not on the level of mtg. I think mindgames are a bigger part of the strategy of the game compared to something like MTG that's more about board presence.

Yeah I think the in game decisions (including when to snap for the bluff to be convincing if you're bluffing) are very rich in this game. The deckbuilding itself has potential but is limited by card pool, but that will naturally improve with time.

I do believe the natural path is to make the upgrades for cards unlock new cards at some point (rather than just foil versions) then you have an unlock route that allows for expanding the game en masse without it being infeasible for people to get the card (for instance if you had a new card that worked off a self discarding archetype you could make it unlock off of an apocalypse upgrade) but who knows where they go

I'm just saying like this game compared to set 1 of hearthstone I like what this game does a lot more. Hell I like what it does compared to set 1 of mtg too, though that isn't fair for a 30 year old game.

I played for a few hours today, it seems pretty fun

seems like a lot of the cards are hidden until later but the locations add a nice variety

Wait, its been out since July?? Did you have to change regions/emulate or something?

There was a closed beta you could get invited to back in July and progress carried over.
